Nice size room, comfortable bed leading to cabana/pool area. Breakfast on property was excellent. Loved that they had fire pits and (free) smores kits to enjoy in the evenings. Staff was always very kind and helpful. Clean beach and we walked next door to Top of Daytona for dinner. AMAZING views and lovely dinner.

The cabana area had little cocoons all over the walls. Didn't actually see any insects (hatched) but feel that could have been addressed prior to arrival. You pay quite a bit more for the cabana and insects like that should never be an issue. (flip side, if cleaned it is a wonderful area equipped with a tv and fan. In just a few steps you are at the pool so you have great access to room to relax) I am pretty confident if I called the front desk, they would have addressed the issue. However, it did take away from the room.

Check in was marvelous - we arrived early in the day because we had a 6 a.m. flight, and the staff kindly got us into a room right away (because one was available, obviously, but they COULD have let us wait until check-in time). The room was lovely and the view (with one small exception) was fabulous. Food at Azure was excellent, as was the coffee from the Marketplace. The pool area was nicely maintained and everyone - EVERYONE - was friendly and warm. When we requested some additional items (towels, toilet paper) they were delivered within a few minutes. I was especially fond of being able to TEXT questions and requests and getting almost immediate responses from a staff person. We will most definitely be back!

One SMALL thing, which was likely out of the resort's control - the hot tub, which happened to be right below our second floor balcony, was closed throughout our stay. It was disappointing to not be able to use it, but it was also kind of an eyesore, as trash blew into it, etc., Also, the pylons and yellow tape were distracting from the lovely ocean view.

The staff was tremendous and very friendly. They made you feel welcomed and were very accommodating. Special shout out to Kristina and Dillion in valet and bell services! Our waitresses in the Azure restaurant were friendly, courteous and very attentive. The whole hotel atmosphere both inside and outside very pleasant. Liked it so much we are going back for a third time in December.

Nothing really. I will say, no fault of the hotel, that a guest did not follow the pet policy and left their dog in their room unattended and the poor dog was howling for a long while.

Daytona Shores is just outside of Daytona Beach, and it was definitely a better location in regards to being overcrowded. The resort has beach access, very helpful valets, and Kim, the manager, is a gem. They hosted a movie night on the pool deck, gave each guest a complimentary drink, s’mores kit, and the valets were wonderful in helping my mom and I unload and load our luggage cart. I also loved the balcony and vanity outside of the bathroom. The bed and couch were both very comfortable as well. For those of us who need special assistance, I’d say the staff here hit the mark.

I brought my service dog, but because other people had their “pets”, there was some confusion about the status of my service animal. Thankfully, Kim was able to clarify and support my needs. There was also a lot of damage from the previous storm that took out the hot tub, which was not noted for our reservation.

The room an views from the balcony were absolutely amazing you could see the beautiful ocean with the beautiful pool from the balcony the sunset an sunrise from our room was beautiful an amazing the pool was big an beautiful we loved the private access to the beach from the pool area the beaches were amazing an beautiful complimentry s’mores were good an fire pits were fun to roast marshmallows on the staff was nice an helpful the restaurant was nice an the food was great the spa was spectacular the massage therapist are fantastic we loved our stay at The shores the hotel was beautiful an clean an pristine this was one our favorite places to stay on our 2 week dream honeymoon journey through Florida to see the Florida Keys we seen 6 beaches an Daytona an The Shores hotel was on our list as top favorite places to see an stay in Florida we would definitely come back an stay here again we loved Daytona Beach an The Shores hotel

Clean room and bathroom, nice walk in shower, super comfy bed. Good space on balcony with chairs and a table. Think they carefully cleaned the pool every day! There is a great spa at this place. Book the "milk and honey" body treatment!

What is there no to like?! Hmm... Would have preferred the hotel provided beach towels as well as for the pool.

We loved the private terrace overlooking the ocean. The tiki bar was nice to grab a drink. Driving the beach behind the hotels, we noticed several other places were severally damaged from the hurricanes. A good portion of them did not have beach access anymore. Ours did, which is something to consider if you would like to walk on the beach from your hotel or condo. I highly recommend asking direct questions to any hotel about their current working amenities before booking. This resort's jacuzzi is not operable as of our stay. The pool area overlooking the beach was beautiful.

The closest was nice, but we felt like there was not enough storage for our things. More drawer space would have been nice.

This property was absolutely beautiful! I chose to upgrade to the ground level cabana room, and I wasn’t disappointed! I loved that. I could do my morning stretches while looking at the ocean and the sunrise, then head out to at the pool to relax, or take a few steps back to the sofa, couch, and my room. Most of the people were absolutely wonderful - from the front desk to The tiki bar bartenders, the Bellman! But The nighttime bartender (3/26/23) in the restaurant did not have good customer service manners!

Location…I didn’t like that the property didn’t have any thing else I could walk to around it. I like to park my car and explore. And even though I was able to do my usual jog up and down the beach in the morning, the amount of traffic and construction (and reconstruction from the hurricane) going on was a buzz kill & a distraction from the beautiful water and beach.

Despite the weather which was beyond anyone's control the view was AMAZING!! We had a wrap around balcony and you couldn't beat it.

The room was a little outdated and needed painted and the furniture had stains on the couch and the locks to go in and outside didn't work very well. Our phone didn't work and we told the front desk and nothing was done. There was a woman's sanitary napkin laying in the hallway and we told the staff about TWICE and was still there in the morning. The hot tub was down but I believe it was due to storm damage but not sure on that. The bed definitely needs replaced or a better one because it was like sleeping on concrete.

Let me start by saying I am a local resident. The staff here is AMAZING! I can not say enough good things, I would run out of words. The Shores Resort & Spa is a beautiful facility with amazing amenities. From the tiki bar outback by the pool on the beachfront. To the restaurant and the night bar, to the spa on the second floor this place is wonderful! Please don't forget to bring your children, they do s'mores every night at the fire pits! Every Thursday they have a magician perform a magic show. So if it's a couples retreat or a family vacation you will not go wrong staying at The Shores Resort and Spa.

My alcoholic drinks were over priced; however, it's a resort so it was expected.
