Close to the airport

Unfortunately on Jan. 01st (our checkout day), the 24/7 coffee machines were out of the order. There were 2 coffee machines and both were not working. We were waiting for the breakfast lady to fix the machine till 6:45 am. Not only the four of us, many other clients were waiting for . I’ve asked for some breakfast itens to go (a bag with yogurt and fruit they promised at the reception) by email and at the check-in day. It would be great to have a refund for the 4 of us, due to the unavailable breakfast 24/7 coffee machines and breakfast bag for early check-out. The refund would be totally applicable to the situation.

Great for an airport hotel. Good facilities available while waiting for check in time.

Staff appeared grumpy and unhelpful. Should smile more and make an effort to welcome guests. Cleaning staff were really friendly and polite unlike reception staff.

The staff were wonderful, it was clean! Our entire experience was nice!!

The only thing I didn’t like was that our blankets were not clean, I had to go down to the desk to ask for clean comforters, but the attendant was wonderful about replacing them.

Clean and staff were great helping set up rides and holding our luggage till we could check in.

Breakfast was a disappointment. The Jimmy Dean bagels with sausage and egg were greasy and tough, not good to eat.

The beds the beds omg!! The staff really helpful I booked last minute with my 8 yr old thkful thy put us on the top floor felt so safe also I missed breakfast only because I over slept 4hrs it was so worth it the beds omg I felt like it just cuddled me!! No really I slept great like baby I’m so going back just to enjoy more of the hotel it’s super close to the airport so glad my flight was delayed and I discovered avid hotel also we went to chill at the beach yess Ft. Lauderdale really nice my 8 yr old Bailey and I so had a blast thanks to my Uber driver he was like u don’t wanna go to Hollywood beach nope thank u Erwin u rock !!! Best day ever and going back !! Well this hotel is fairly new like only 3 years it’s only a short ride to the beach I’d say if ur older like 60 and up go to Hollywood bch but all other head to Ft. Lauderdale it’s fun active kid friendly lots of shopping bars fun so chills good vibz yess we had a blast shoot we live n Myrtle BCH ughh see enough old folks no shade but I don’t wanna vaca with thm sooo so glad we hit Ft. Lauderdale BCH this hotel was amazing tht airport was sooo dirty I said nope naww not us we need a clean safe hotel and Avid was tht and more so now I’m booking to stay for a week and I’ll b working at the hotel as well I’m so already ready I saw guys working from there on their morning jogs so can’t wait to return and then will try the breakfast lol # avid hotel was awesome heading back soon before school starts for my Bailey “””hotel is gorgeous and safe and close to beaches !!!

The property was clean and the staff were very pleasant. The hotel offered very good coffee and average breakfast. The room was clean and had comfortable beds which resulted in a pleasant stay. We also appreciated the free airport shuttle.

The hotel was not very soundproof. Our room was on the side adjacent to the highway and we could hear the traffic. Fortunately, the slightly loud AC drown out the traffic noise. That being said, we still had a nice nights sleep. The price of the room was quite high, but comparatively priced to other similar hotels. There also was a minor issue with the flooring

We did not have the opportunity to enjoy your wonderful breakfast as our flight was an early on so we departed Avid at 5 a.m. We like the staff, room, and location. Room was in a quiet location of the hotel. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Upon checking in, we inquired about the free hotel shuttle to the airport at 5 a.m. We were informed that it began at 7 a.m. but the hotel could arrange a taxi for us at the "hotel's cost". Great and very nice of the arrangement. the next morning when we came to arrange our ride, we were told that the hotel "did not have that policy"! Oh well. We called for a Lyft ride to FLL airport. Avid's Hotel needs to communicate with one another.

The room was spacious, the bed was amazingly comfortable, it was quiet, free breakfast was a plus.

There was no microwave in the room, which wasn’t a major issue. However, the room had a noticeable smell of smoke. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they explained that the outside vents are connected to the room, so if someone is smoking nearby, the smell can enter. The staff suggested I keep the bathroom fan on to help with it, and that solution actually worked well. Also, the bathroom is beautiful, but water gets on the floor even with the glass door closed, so make sure to put a towel on the floor when showering.

Everything is very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly.

The breakfast and airport shuttle starts at 7 am. We sadly had to leave at 6 and there is no compensation at all or “breakfast to-go” options, but you have to buy your own snacks and transportation. Specially as a hotel that annouces itself to be an “airport” hotel, this is unacceptable. Normally shuttles and breakfast options are always offered in such hotels, since they know you will most probably be leaving early.

Beds were super comfortable! Breakfast was pretty great as well. They had hot sandwiches, as well as bagels, fresh coffee, yogurt, and some other items. Staff at the front desk I forget the gentleman’s name he was super sweet.

Bathroom was nice. We did have the handicap room. So it was very hard to not get water coming out of the shower. I’m assuming because of the slope for someone with a wheelchair to enter. There was a smell in the bathroom that was coming from a drain by the toilet and the floor. The walls in the bathroom were pretty nasty as far as they definitely needed to be wiped down you could see stuff running down the walls. We did have some issues with the ceiling in our room it looks like maybe there was a water leak in the room above us or something of that nature because the ceiling was Cracked and peeling away.
