This was a nice hotel with breakfast included and a nice location.

It was a bit pricey and they don’t allow you to self park your vehicle.

You can’t get a better location than this hotel, right next to the undeveloped state park and across the street from several restaurants. The pool was very nice, and you the receive two free beach chairs as well. The grounds and lobby area are nice with modern furniture. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The mandatory $39/day valet parking was ridiculous. We were not aware, and you are given no other option. The dresser in our room had sand in the drawers, and the walls were be very thin, so you could hear the neighbors’ conversations. This is a very busy hotel, and we were there over Labor Day weekend. It might be better at quieter times.

The beach was destroyed 2 years ago from hurricane. So they are currently under construction, dreadging sand from ocean floor & rebuilding the beach and dunes at night, and most is unexcessibile. So it takes a very long walk to reach the Atlantic Ocean. I was looking forward to swimming in the Ocean but was impossible with heat to walk a mile to swim. Not Embassy Suites fault because it is the entire coast of Anaststia Beach is under renovation.

The included amenities like breakfast and cocktail hour made the stay so much more enjoyable. The ability to order drinks and food by the pool was also a plus. I felt as if we were at a resort property. I have already recommended the Embassy Suites to a friend for her family vacation.

At first , I didnt like the fact that you had to valet your car and that it cost $36 per day. However, with the free breakfast (made to order omelet's!) and happy hour drinks, I felt that the cost of the valet was covered.

The staff was exceptional. Trevor at checkin was most helpful. Hunter in the restaurant made our dining experience fun and the food was delicious. Hotel is beautiful, happy hour was fun and the nightly entertainment was enjoyable.

The noise from the beach replenishment operation kept us awake the first night of our stay. The website stated it would be completed before our visit but when we arrived we learned it was still going on.

I did not like the valet parking fee surprise when I got there. If it was in then booking I missed it. I would rather have it in the room fee so I know the cost before I get there and not a surprise of an additional $40 per day.

The bed was a little hard in my opinion but other than that it was exceptional

ROOM: It was great for our family of 4. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We like having a kitchenette. We enjoyed the balcony! POOL: We loved the pool! It was huge and always the perfect temp! The pool side service was incredible!! BEACH: I liked that there were guys at the beach who placed the chairs and umbrella for us.

BEACH: We were very disappointed in the beach. They are doing something with pushing the ocean back further from the hotel to help with hurricanes. Sounds like a good idea but it was a HIKE!!!!! They pushed it so far back that even a fishing pier near the hotel was no longer even close to being in the water. It was crazy!!! ROOM: One other complaint was the “ocean view”. When making reservations I saw 2 options - ocean view and partial ocean view. We wanted a full ocean view! But the hotel said we had reservations for a partial view. Thankfully we still had a decent view but it’s not what we expected at all. The hotel said we would need to select FULL ocean view. However Priceline didn’t have “full” as an option. It was very misleading.

Hotel is on a perfect beach location (big sandy beach with miles of walking) and has a huge pool (where kids were even allowed to use balls etc.). the whole hotel area is very clean and very professionally managed. the room was big enough and had a sofa with TV in the interior part of the room. living on the beach also means that it is a bit of a drive to the centre of St. Augustine - for us this was ok as the beach was more important. but if your focus is the old part of town, this hotel is probably too far away. right opposite the hotel were a few nice restaurants in walking distance.

Paying 39 USD + tax for mandatory valet parking (no self parking allowed) and then a suggested tip of 7 USD each time we used the car feels excessive. next door are free public parking lots - but they do not allow overnight parking (wonder why....). There is a very limited number of street parking available not too far away which we found and started using on day 2 (the daily fee still appeared on the invoice - but was cleared immediately after we said that we had checked out of the parking via app after less than 24h) There was almost no space/no wardrobe to unpack your clothes (one little shelf above the safe) - so we lived out of the suitcase mostly.

The breakfast and the happy hour were great! The complimentary snacks were very repetitive. All of the personnel we encountered were great with the exception of one young lady when I asked to check in an hour early and she basically scolded me that “check in is 4pm” I was well aware of check in time but anyone who as travelled all day I was only inquiring.She never even suggested making ourselves comfortable at the beautiful resort.

The bathroom at poolside was horrible. I realize it’s a busy area but let’s get one person on this. It was absolutely filthy!!! The room was clean but not great and every day we had to ask for extra towels. The valet parking is a real very inconvenient. We would prefer to just have our car in a parking area.
