I had a small room with a double bed, perfect for one person. And the artwork and furnishings throughout the hotel were sort of retro and made for a very nice environment. I would describe it as a very cute little hotel, and affordable. I was in town overnight for a Billie Eilish concert and it was also near the venue, United Center.

Sometimes it took a little while to get the elevator. I was on the fourth floor. I think there was only one elevator. And they only had 16 parking spaces, first come first served. I didn't get one at first, but then the staff flagged me down when I came downstairs later to tell me that one had freed up. That was nice.

The staff were friendly. The room was basic and on the smaller side, but still big enough and clean. The bed was comfortable. There was only one seat in the room so if you were sharing with another person that could be an issue but I was travelling alone. There was also a full sized fridge and a microwave which was handy. It is so close to the United Centre.

I did see one review that said they came in one day and the lobby stunk of weed and that did happen on one of the nights I was there - I was there for four nights. I picked this location because it was so close to the United Centre and it was a very easy and quick walk. However, there is not a lot else to do around here. I'd only stay here again if I was staying for one night and going to a game, otherwise I'd stay in a more central location. It could be loud - sirens - but that is not uncommon in larger cities.

Room was great, feels more like a dorm (in a good way), by far the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in, service was great. Location was very close to the United Center (which is why we stayed).

It was incredibly difficult to get food delivered.. Not the hotel's fault but that is why location isn't a big smiley face. A restaurant just a mile & a half away wouldn't deliver there. The Barn, while food was fine the service was not good & they automatically charged a 20% gratuity when the sign said 3%. The taco place around the corner couldn't understand my credit card number (I read off 5 times & on the 6th said forget it). The bar that was semi across the street was closed on a Friday night.. So we settled for Church's but walked there. Food was fine but they gave us ranch instead of the sauces we asked for & the gravy for potatoes was like water.

I liked the location (went to the United Center for a concert) and had to leave at 2:30am to go the airport. I was worried about going to the parking ramp at that time but because it was locked down, I felt completely safe. Our bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very big and roomy! The woman who checked us in was also amazing, super friendly and very helpful!!!!

When we came back from our concert at about midnight, the whole lobby smelled like marijuana. Like someone had just recently smoked in there. Also when we left at 2:30am, nobody was at the desk to talk to.

The location was perfect for what we came for. It was only a few blocks walk to the concert venue. I LOVED the ceiling fan in the room. All hotels should have them.

Some areas of the hotel seemed like they could use updating. I’m sure it is difficult as it seems like an older building. Also our room was at the end of the hallway and that is also where housekeeping left the cleaning cart and other items. Would have preferred to not see it, but it is what it is and it didn’t hinder our stay.

It was super close to the United Center. We Walked to and from for our concert. It was nice not having to use public transportation.

Parking is limited to 16 spots and it's first come first serve. We managed to snag parking for both days but I definitely would pay more If I could guarantee a parking spot. If your not driving to Chicago maybe this wouldn't matter to you but since we drove in from out of town parking was crucial.

Love Hotel Chicago! Great neighborhood, warm-hearted, helpful, professional staff, comfortable rooms (with a full-sized fridge!); just really nice in a low key, unpretentious way. In the shadow of Rush Hospital, United Center, Westinghouse High School, and all the Unions HQs—across the street from Teamster City. Close to Union Park, home to Pitchfork and other music festivals.

I loved the option to take a cookie and a water when first entering and I like how you had to be buzzed in, for safety, I also loved how elegant the hotel looked and how updated the rooms are, I loved the shower and the provided soaps and how the towels were folded.

The staff could’ve been alittle friendlier, I also looked online first and the prices were lower online, I wish they just price matched with online so I didn’t have to wait an extra 15 minutes for the confirmation to load in their computers after I booked online because the price online was lower. I also got charged twice because of that, because I paid online and thought once they pulled it up that it must not have charged me when I paid again in person, but it in fact did charge me twice so I had to get a refund for one and that was also inconvenient.

The room was fine, overpriced but I get that. What I don't get is being charged two times for a one night stay. They told me there was a $50 deposit held on my card. I got charged $360 two times, that is the room plus the deposit. I called the same day I checked out and was told it would be handled. It was NOT! I have called several times more and spoke with people, no has had solved this issue. One person told me to call some booking.com to resolve this. I am completely dissatisfied with these overcharges! My bank account has gone into the negatives because of this and cost me hundreds of dollars in fees and now missed payments. I can not believe this wasn't handled immediately. I also can't believe that no one I talk to at the hotel has been able to resolve this. This is fraud, absolute fraud. It makes me wonder how many other people this has happened to that didn't pay attention and got severely overcharged.

I will continue to tell you how bad this fraud of overcharging is. I completely understand holding money for a deposit. I do NOT understand then taking the deposit and then charging me again! I have paid $720 for a one night stay that was only supposed to be $315! I am contacting my lawyers. This isn't just overcharging, it's fraud. I also am now getting overdraft fee's and facing late fee's because I did NOT plan on paying two times for one night. UNACCEPTABLE

We stay at this hotel everytime we attend an event at the united center. Always clean. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I really like you can't even get into the hotel without your room key once your checked in. Full fridge and microwave. Several huge mirrors in the hallway are great for checking yourself before you leave or taking pictures. I love staying at this hotel. They also offer parking so you don't have to worry about a parking ramp.

It took us longer than I'd like to admit to find the ice machine located on the lobby floor.
