Loved the location because it was around the corner from my event, other restaurants and night life points of interest. Being able to park in front of the room was a super big plus. Millery, the office check-in person was the most knowledgeable and receptive person that I've ever encountered at any check-in point. Management should understand that employees like her can make or break businesses...Millery is certainly a keeper!!! I was looking for a safe place in a super location with free parking, super clean rooms with modern features and Ohio House worked for me.

Of course as travellers, we should understand that a motel in the middle of a big city is not going to be sound proof, so bring earplugs. Lastly, parking spaces are small but it still was better than always trying to find parking. No bottled water...all rooms should have bottled water.

Very good location with access to multiple busses that can take you to the loop, the museums, Lakefront, and Logan Park. In addition, the Brown Line was within a 7 minute walk. The staff was very nice and very eager to help! The room was very clean and where needed they are more than happy to clean it whenever you requested it! There is also a Target only one block away that has everything you need for your stay.

My only complaint is that sometimes it was a little noisy, but this is due to the location. In addition if you have a room in the back there will be a little less daylight in the room as there is a building almost directly behind the motel. If you can choose, take a room on the second level. The noise was less up there.

An older well-maintained property in a nice part of town (River North). Parking is at a premium in this area, so being able to park was a definite plus. Not too far from the train stations, so zipping around was easy. A car in Chicago can be an albatross. The room must have updated fairly recently- very clean. Nice bed and pillows, too.

Parking is first come first served, and management tries to accommodate as many guests as possible by double- parking vehicles ( you leave a key with the office, if you’re not lucky enough to get a space. A little cumbersome if you’re blocked in (we were).

The room was very small, but clean and updated. Perfect for a weekend stay in the city. Beds were comfortable, shower pressure was good. The free parking is a hassle. You'll have to leave your keys and they'll move your car as they need. We didn't use the car during our stay, so it turned out to work fine. Location is great. Grab a coffee at Eataly few blocks away, and you're on Michigan ave after a couple more blocks.

The windows are paper thin, so it's really noisy at night with a bar next door and other city sounds. Would be nice if the motel provided ear plugs on the bed table. Costs pennies, but changes the experience.

The motel provided outstanding value, with free parking. The location was excellent near the downtown attractions. It was very clean, there was a nice little balcony, there was a microwave and fridge and also there was a safety deposit box in the room. , Most importantly I felt very safe there. I felt our car was safe as well, in the parking lot. We were originally going to stay there for two days, and stay elsewhere for the rest of our trip, but we were so happy with the motel we decided to stay there for our entire trip.

The parking lot did not have enough spaces for all the rooms, so if you arrived late they provided valet parking by double parking your car. However, this was not a problem for us, as we always found a spot.

We stayed in the King Suite with the sofa bed. The room is in the same building as the main desk. I believe there are 2 King rooms right above the main desk. Room 225 seems to be right above the desk while room 226 (which is where we stayed and definitely recommend) is away from the desk and also has a better view of Ohio and N La Salle St. The room was very clean. The King bed was extremely comfortable. There are linen and 2 extra pillows for the sofa bed. There's a mini fridge, a little kitchenette and a microwave (the buttons are in French however it wasn't hard to figure it out lol). There's a TV and little table where the sofa bed is at, and another table with 2 chairs by the bed. Shower pressure wasn't the hardest but was not bad. We had no problem with the water temperature however it was hard to turn the shower knobs to change the temperature. When we stayed they had just put up the new curtains which helped to block out lights. Ohio house is situated right in the middle of a busy intersection so be prepared to have a lot of noise from outside (especially sirens!) but if you're there for the city life then shouldn't be too bad (we definitely didn't mind it at all), especially with the large windows to people watch and see the city view. Parking can be a bit tight if you have a larger vehicle but nothing beats free parking (1 space per room reservation). All in all Ohio House Motel is our favorite go-to place when staying in Chicago.

Can't regulate room temperature, and shower knobs were a bit hard to turn

Stayed at the Ohio House Motel for a concert at the Salt Shed, within a 10-15 minute drive. A 10 minute walk to the RiverWalk. Parking Lot is tight but had no issues with a spot. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of restaurants and a Target around the corner. The room was clean and very comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor so it was quiet and for it being downtown there wasn't much traffic noise that you could hear. I would certainly recommend this location.

No thermometer to change the temperature in the room.. a small detail but having to call the office to turn it down is a burden. But I will certainly be back to this motel in the future.

Clean, updated modern room with a comfortable bed. Millary, who checked us in, was exceptional! She is a great asset to the owners; hospitality is a strength for her- they are lucky to have her on staff. Housekeeping was busy keeping, not just the rooms, but the property clean and presentable. We saw this property last time we stayed in Chicago at the Sheraton Riverside; glad we stayed. I will look at this property every time I search for hotels in Chicago...would definitely stay again. Oh, and 3 minute walk to Blue Chicago blues club- BONUS!

Parking fine for our car, but would be tight for a large truck. That said, they valet cars when parking gets tight on weekends so probably not a problem they haven't solved.

The old school vibe of the the exterior was beautiful. There are 4 rooms to a enclosed hallway. Which provides a double layer of locking doors for protection not that you need it. The parking lot is also enclosed, gated, a free for your stay. Which is huge for Chicago. The room was just as pictured on the website and was so clean and smellled nice. Some toiletries and coffee are provided free of charge. The location is the best part! Literally in the middle of everything. We walked most places and Ubered for $10-15 a pop to most of the main tourist attractions like Navy Pier.

No air control in the room. I woke up in the .ide of the night to sweltering heat. I called the front office and they corrected it immediately by turning it off. LOL

Great central location - lots of bars/restaurants nearby as well as shopping, pharmacy etc. If you are up for a bit of a walk, most of the more touristy attractions like the bean/waterfront can be reached by walking from here as well.

I wish we could check in earlier. Check in was late, but they did let us keep our car parked when we arrived earlier than the late check in. Staff were very nice and accommodating, check out was also early but since it was not a busy day (week day) for check ins they let us keep our car parked to do some last minute touring/getting breakfast before we left Room was comfortable, could have been cleaner/better stocked but was not bad. Had TV microwave and fridge - all the essentials except coffee/tea did not work
