I love staying at Hamptons - the consistency in what to expect in terms of cleanliness, stay, locations and most amenities.I

The Hampton Inn Normal REALLY needs to replace the 2 treadmills in the fitness room. When I visited last September the TVs on the treadmills didn't work. This time not only did the TVs not work but one treadmill would not start at all and the housing had a huge crack!! The other one worked but its TV was broken. And the arrangement of the gym was not conducive to watching the one working TV at the end of the room. I like to exercise when I travel so this situation was a major issue for me. Other than the fitness center, all was well.

This was a birthday, golfing and shopping trip - Loved the size of the room we booked. Perfect location for shopping and with 10-15 mins of favorite restaurant for dinner. WIll stay again

wish the coffee maker in room was a single servce kurig style and actual creamers instead of the dry coffee milk - my only suggestion not really a complaint

Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good with many choices.

One of the front staff members was impersonal two different times. Once when I asked for a copy of the bill and once when I asked if they had a listing of the TV stations for my elderly parents who didn't understand how to use the remote to scan for listings. The second staff member was extremely helpful.

We have stayed at the Hampton Inn Bloomington West but the prices go up when there are school competitions etc. plus there are few good restaurants in that location. What a pleasant surprise to find this Hampton Inn just a few miles away —located near a mall with plenty of restaurants. We will definitely return. The only available room with a king size bed was an accessible room. It turns out that was the best option as they have a step-shower, a safer option for seniors.

The comforter/duvet on top of the bed wasn’t super comfortable. Also the layout of our room (while a good size) was a little awkward with the desk and tv being in the middle of the room. It wasn’t a huge deal, just a little strange.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, nice working desk. There is also a small kitchenette near the entrance. The staff was nice too.

You have to ask to get housekeeping. I wish they could just clean the room every day or even every two days by default.

The breakfast buffet was amazing! Great selection of quality foods and drinks. The location could not have been better! Center of everything and walking distance within numerous store and restaurants. Perfect!

My only complaint was that one of the keys didn’t always work on all the doors. Different doors at different times, but that is just how those swiping keys work. So really no complaints

Breakfast was good, include bacon and sausage. Hotel was in a shopping area and had several good restaurants in walking distance. I was able to place my dinner order on line and walk 200 ft out of the hotel and pick up my order.

Door of closet didn't work. I assumed it was a locked mechanical closet until I realized I didn't have anywhere to hang my clothes or an ironing board. I called down to the front desk asking for an iron & ironing board which they couldn't provide. When I complained about not having a closet and I asked if other rooms in the hotel didn't have closets, desk clerk couldn't answer my question. I kept yanking on the door and it finally opened. AFTERWARDS, she said the door issue was fairly common and she would contact maintenance about the problem. Afraid I wouldn't be able to get the door open again, I left it cracked for the rest of my stay.

the staff was very friendly! excellent location, very quiet, except for room air conditioner. good breakfast. clean.

not an ice cube in the building over 3 days!! also air conditioner was noisy, on -off. hard to sleep

Enjoyed breakfast, especially the hot chocolate and bacon. Staff was great and friendly. I also like the bike in the exercising room. And, I like that the heat/cooling unit worked very good. I wish the refrigerator had a freezer inside but overall. I like the area like a small kitchen.
