We loved the ambiance and the decor of the space. The hotel was beautiful, and made for a relaxing night away for myself and my husband the weekend we moved our son into college nearby. We also loved the breakfast. This was one of the best relaxing mornings with a hot breakfast we have had! The staff was kind and helpful, and opened our wine for us as we had forgotten our wine opener.

There is nothing to state that we did not like. Everything was exactly as we needed it to be. No complaints about any of the facilities or the room.

The staff was responsive and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. This is a beautiful boutique hotel. I love the decor, the colors, all the crystal lighting and accents. The room was spacious and the heat/a/c was responsive and kept the room comfortable. I enjoyed the included breakfast every day. It is near a cancer treatment hospital, so there were many people there that this kind of pleasant environment would have been very relaxing. I appreciated all the common spaces - there was a loft on the second floor with a library and lots of tables and chairs that was a comfortable if you wanted to work outside of your room. Families with kids would definitely have a place for them to play/relax. The lobby is spacious and has a lot of seating areas without feeling crowded in any way. It was a little too chilly for it this trip, but they have two beautiful fire pits and a private outdoor courtyard that I will definitely take advantage of next time. I hope that their coffee shop and restaurant will be open when I come back, but there were plenty of other things close by including a wonderful little tea shop across the street.

It's kind of a strange little town and I felt a little unsafe when I was outside. Not on site at all - the parking lot was fine, the hotel was fine. It's not the hotel's fault that there was drag racing in front of the hotel every night at 1:00 a.m. Additionally, I had to call maintenance to lock my balcony doors because they blew open in the middle of the night three times the first night I was there. I could not figure out how to get them to stay closed. They were there within a minute, he fixed it, it was fine the rest of my stay - but it was a little unnerving.

We were on a front street facing room and one night we had to call the front desk because there is a restaurant/pub across the street and the music subwoofer off of a car was vibrating our walls,window and bed plus there were two cars drag racing down Main Street like the movie Fast and the Furious (which was a little cool) but it was after 10:30 pm and we knew that there were families staying here because of the cancer hospital located in town. I can say that within minutes of us calling the front desk the noise stopped! Cuddos to the management. Other than this one incident everything was great.

We loved our room, and it was a super comfortable experience overall. The location is convenient if you are wanting to go to Six Flags, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Both of the girls at the front desk were very nice and helpful. I would definitely go back if I was in the area again.

There was a dog that barked basically every time they saw anyone. Not really the hotels fault but it got a bit irritating. Also one of the breakfast attendants was rude. Not a morning person I suppose.

Great location friendly staff.

Staff never answered the phone. It was a creepy man following my daughter from outside into the hotel up to the same floor she took the elevator and he took the stairs I told the front desk we identified him on camera and never heard from them again. Not enough tissue in the room no body wash in the room. The eating area was extremely hot. No parking. And you can't park on the street you will get a ticket.

The location was great. Never felt unsafe or felt worried about my vehicle being left in the parking lot. The building was very nice. Coffee shop in the morning was great! Staff was amazing. They really are what made the stay there great! Loved the captain that shuttled us from the hotel to the Renaissance fair! He was great. It was a pleasant surprise that we did not know the hotel offered.

Not enough plugs in between beds. But the room weirdly had plugs in very odd spots. Lighting is awful in our room. Brighter lights would be so helpful. If you wear makeup bring a mirrored light and if you have bad sight good luck. It would be very helpful to have a shelf for the bathroom as the sink area is smaller. The shower curtain will hit your leg if u don’t put a towel to block it. Water runs out because the bottom lip does nothing. I believe it is for wheelchair accessibility but definitely could be a falling hazard. Housekeeping never came to our room so we had to ask for extra towels and tiny hand soaps. The good outweighs the bad though!

Just love this little boutique hotel. First off, the staff are just the sweetest. Some minor issues with the room were resolved immediately without fuss and a desire to make things work for me-not so common anymore. Rooms are adorable and comfortable and had an abundance of hot water for a good soak. They have added breakfast since I last stayed. Will definitely stay here again.

They had a big parking lot in front of the hotel. The room was very spacious and very clean. The location was excellent to where we needed to be.. there is a gas station and an Aldi next to the hotel. Check in was easy.Great value overall.

There was no luggage rack for our suitcases.

Beautiful location, quiet quarters, convenient appliances and facilities. Plan to return for any future trip nearby.

The bed was pretty stiff. Our timing was terrible so we missed the cleaning services (?) both mornings, so we didn't get refreshed toiletries, but that's mostly our fault. But maybe the way to request that cold be clear, I suppose. Very minor inconveniences that barely effected the stay.

Beautiful decor! Friendly and helpful staff! General Manager offered great advice on things to see and do nearby and in Chicago. Great prices on jewelry and purses in the shop! Loved the selection!

Housekeeping process was not confusing. Have to put towels outside of door to get a fresh set. Had to go down and get TP at the front desk and garbage cans weren’t emptied, so not sure if housekeeping usually does not come in until after check? The two staff we saw in the hallways were very friendly though and always asked if we needed anything…towels were exchanged. There wasn’t much within walking distance and the restaurants and shops that were around seemed to open late and close early, so definitely need a rental car.
