The location was ideal for dropping off our daughter at University of Notre Dame campus, and it's a pet friendly hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Laundry room is accessible on first floor without having to use room key.

When we usually stay at the Inn at St. Mary's, we usually stay on the east side, on the first floor. The "pet friendly" room we usually get has a microwave, and the room we were given #121 did not have one. The room we usually get is more decorative and has a "homey" feel, while the room, #121, we got, was very bland and stark. It was a room for "disabled" guests, so the shower wasn't as nice as the other room(s) we've stayed in. For the price we paid, it was let down. However, this is the first time we didn't experience a wonderful stay, but since we've stayed in other rooms on previous visits, we'll continue to make future accommodations at the Inn at St. Mary's, but now know to request certain rooms.

Breakfast was delicious. I appreciated the little extras, such as brown sugar and cinnamon for the oatmeal, and the fresh cut fruit. We traveled for my son's wedding so the fun, and generously sized, bar area was a great gathering space for our group.

Our rooms on the first floor were quite humid even with the air conditioner running. The bed in our room was a bit firmer than I expected but was fine overall. The mini fridge - which was a good size - wasn't working when we first arrived. After I called the front desk, it was immediately fixed by the friendly maintenance person.

The size of the room was excellent as I had a sitting area down a small hall away from my sleeping spouse which worked for both of us as I get up early. It could have almost been a suite. Also, the hotel is across the street from Notre Dame so we went and walked around the campus every morning. Additionally, I wanted to call out the beds and the comfort they provide. I felt rested and no tossing and turning due to the thought put into the mattresses they use in the hotel.

The front lobby got a bit rowdy over the weekend and the noise carried through the sleeping areas of the hotel. Like a sort of loud buzzing of all the people talking at once. That only happened in the small sitting area closest to the door. No issues once I moved into the sleeping area.

The staff was great. Very kind and helpful. I loved that there was room service: I was really tired after driving all day and it was easy. The breakfast was really good and the coffee machine was AMAZEBALLS.

There was no microwave in the room and there was only a cooler not an adjustable fridge. The cooler would only keep things at 72.

Comfortable room, lots of space, good shower and good internet. Parking was also easy. A little away from the main downtown areas but think people usually come here for university activities.

Food and drink options were a little limited. I was woken up early on my check out day which was a little annoying.

The Inn was beautiful and top notch. The staff was really friendly, breakfast was by far the best of the places we stayed this week, room was beautiful and clean, the beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay!

The breakfast is good. Better than most hotel breakfast! It’s rather quiet and I like the Starbucks!

The quaintness of the Inn. The professionalism and kindness of the staff. A very good value with a breakfast that exceeded our expectations.

There was a significant stain on the couch and there were loose ceramic tiles in the bathroom.

Bad Wifi, as we travelled from Europe we needed the Wifi for bookings and social networks. Worked only in the gym or lobby.

Inn at St. Mary’s was clean and comfortable. The hallways and my room showed signs of wear and tear, but overall it’s clear the staff take pride in the property. The lobby is beautiful and I was delighted by the many different complimentary breakfast options, and especially the on-site Starbucks.

It was difficult to social distance in common spaces and housekeeping tried to enter my room before I was checked out (I was still in the shower). I did have some frustration with the vending machines - I used the card swiper, but my item didn’t vend and the payment wasn’t reversed. This isn’t so much the Inn’s issue as the vending company, but it still impacts guests to have to call the vending company for a stolen charge.
