I stayed in the porch room for a week and a friend stayed in a different room for part of that time. Both rooms were cute and uniquely decorated. The porch room is particularly spacious. The coffee set-up, mini-fridge, and other amenities were great. The best part was the location close to the French Quarter but also to the Bywater, which was my favorite area to explore. The porch room was located back behind a gate, which made it feel safer and also decreased street noise. I didn't meet the owners but they were quick to reply when I asked if I could store my luggage. The hot tub was often occupied by another group at the times I was around, so I did not get to use it, but it's nice that it's there.

I am a light sleeper and did get some noise transfer from guests in the 2 adjacent rooms; they weren't doing anything too noisy, but just coming back to the room to get ready for bed, opening/closing doors, etc. at 2am woke me up. The building is older so I think this is unavoidable. Also, some aspects of the building are quirky, like the wood is old, so the front door on the room has warped and I found it difficult to lock the security latch. But these are small things and overall the place was great.

The property was really well kept and the owner did a good job with organising arrival and check-in plus the PIN code instead of the key was a life saver as I always lose keys. The room itself had a nice interior and it was clean. We didn’t use the patio that much but I would have, had I had more time. We had some issues with the toilet and the owner sorted it out promptly.

We honestly thought it was closer to the French Quarter. It was close to the Frenchman street though, which was our favourite street in NOLA. The bed was a touch too soft as we generally prefer it hard, but I guess that’s a personal preference

Beautiful, colourful and quirky property. Great location. We had an issue with our microwave and it was dealt with very efficiently. Great correspondence with the owners, who were also very accommodating to our needs and had a cot for our baby all set up. The garden is a magical wonderland. Stay in a garden-facing property, if possible.

It was quite noisy as we were right on the main road. A garden room would be much quieter, especially if you have small children/light sleepers. The bathroom door was quite dirty (overlooked brown handprints where people open the side of the door, and streaks of make-up/food which I wiped off), otherwise the place was spotless!

Comfortable with excellent facilities. Great hosts who were friendly and helpful and sorted out our transport issues. Beautiful historical building decorated in typical New Orleans style. We felt at home from the moment we stepped in. Good facilities nearby including a good quality food market across the road, lovely neighbourhood restaurant and bakery. We recommend Paladar 511 restaurant a short walk away. We would highly recommend Blue60 and would stay there again. Thank you Chris and Maryann.

The side alleyway was a little untidy but very secure.

Had an amazing stay! Loved the location, it was easy walking distance to everything. There were lots of options for restaurants and bars right in the area, but the French Quarter was only about a 10 minute walk past some of the loveliest historic homes around. Loved the contactless entry, super easy and the room was more like a suite, with tons of New Orleans themed art. The King bed was very comfortable, and the room had everything we needed to get comfortable. The hot tub was awesome and just what we needed after exploring Frenchman Street and the French Quarter all day. Best of all, there were two coffee shops within a few steps of the place, and a full grocery store right across the road - so were able to enjoy appetizers and a bottle of wine in the garden before exploring the city. Mag's bar is right across the street and packed with the kind of local characters you usually only read about in novels...Loved our stay, we'll be back!

We loved being in the Faubourg-Marigny quarter, in walking distance of all the main sites but away from the hubbub (although we went in January when it is quiet anyway). The apartment had a big bedroom with huge bed and a good size living area equipped with toaster, microwave, kettle and coffee-maker. It was hidden behind a date to the main road, making us feel secure and "tucked away". Having a big supermarket opposite was really handy too. Some really helpful local information was provided by the managers.

The shower was a little basic but that is a minor quibble. We were woken by the slightly spooky noise of the train on some nights but strangely got used to it.

Beautifull, unusual and extremely clean room with everything you might need during your visit. We liked everything about this place, everything was perfect. But above all we apretiated the fact that the owner Chris offerd to make us an extremely large favor. British Airways lost our suitcase on the flight to Atlanta and they have found it and sent it after us to NOLA on the day we've already left. Cris has offered to forward it to our next destination which was kind enough. But he has offered us much much more. Because we didn' know too send him the him money he needed to ship the siutcase (we don't have PayPal, ect ) he more than kindly offered to ship it on his own expence. Such kindness is extremely rare and it shows that Chris is a human with capital H. We will repay him as soon we arrive back to Europe but his generous act will never be forgotten. We wish Chris all the best and encurage everyone to stay at his beautifull place

There was nothhing we didn't like.

- Excellent location, very close to Frenchman street, one of the streets that encloses the French Quarter - The rooms are big, much comfortable, with all the equipment you may need - A lot of non-metered parking space in the area

- My room was just street level, in a big avenue. As a consequence, you get a lot of noise from people screaming as they pass by, or much worse, from cars revving as they drive by your window (which unfortunately can happen quite often) - Room is overpriced for what you get, but this is a New Orleans problem. Still a property I would recommend 10/10 times

The location was excellent! We walked most everywhere, or were able to get the trolley and Hop On/Hop Off bus. Also, very much appreciated the big book of information on places to eat, etc. Very helpful! The rooms were spacious. And very grateful that Chris is willing to mail back 2 shirts I left in the closet! :)

Bring your own box of tissues! There was nary a tissue to be found in either the bathroom or bedroom. A small thing, but in allergy season, it would have been helpful. An easy thing to fix.

Perfect location - everything walking distance - in the best part of town anyway. You have the blue bikes just on the other side of the street and with those you really get everywhere superfast although we walked a lot and that was fine. Very cozy place l- like you're at home. Very nice to have a fridge when it's so hot outside ;) Not to miss in the city: the Baldwin bookstore next door, the Treme Backstreet Cultural Museum, The Petit Jazz Museum, A walking tour by New Orleans Walking Tours on Foot, rent a car for one day and do Whitney Plantation, Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden, and so much more ... plus of course great concerts and food everywhere. Have fun!

Didn't find any wineglasses (maybe looked over it), and the evacuation of the water in the shower sometimes needed a hand - but ok all part of the charm of staying in a b&b and not in a sterile hotel so it still doesn't weigh up against all the positive sides.
