Great location near all of the well known tourist spots. The balcony that we could sit out on and people watch made this place great. Several awesome, happy staff members added to the atmosphere. The room was huge with a separate bedroom, living area, along with a well equipped kitchen.

My biggest complaint was the linens. They were thin and uncomfortable. The bed itself is probably in need of replacement too. However, if these are the biggest issues, I would happily stay here again. Also, having the balcony meant we were able to hear the party all night (and early morning). It didn't bother me because it is pretty constant noise and the party is what we were there for.

We booked a two-roomed apartment and it was huge! Full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, full washer/drier. Decor was nice, bedrooms were internal so no noise at all from street. Didn't hear any noise from other rooms etc. Best bit was the free entertainment in the courtyard. We arrived late Saturday evening so the free jazz breakfast on Sunday morning was much appreciated! Monday was a taste of New Orleans in the afternoon which was actually a big plate of free food. Tuesday was cheese and wine and music, again, lots of choice and wine! All the staff were lovely and the hotel is very clean and comfy. Location is fantastic right on the edge of French Quatre but away from the main noise. A few minutes walk from St Charles tram stop and a few minutes from the river, Jackson Sq and steamboat. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing - everything was great

This is a wonderful place to stay for a short or long visit to New Orleans. The apartment was very clean, tastefully decorated. and had everything you could want for a comfortable stay. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The valet parking at the Wyndham Hotel was a short walk or drive from the Quarter House, and those reviewers who thought the parking was difficult do not understand the meaning of difficult. An additional benefit of the valet parking through the Quarter House is that it was less costly than had we stayed at Wyndham. The one way streets in the French Quarter required driving a few blocks more than walking to get to the parking garage, but it was very easy to do. The Quarter House has a central, cozy enclosed patio where a complementary Taste of New Orleans plate of snacks was served on Monday evening, and a yummy cheese, salami, wine, and chocolates snack plate was served on Tuesday. The Tuesday event also had a jazz pianist playing during the wine/cheese tasting. The Quarter House is very close to Bourbon St., so easy access to the fun night time activities, but far enough away that you could get a good night sleep. Trolley/streetcar stops are a few blocks away so easy access to inexpensive transportation. Get an all day pass for the trolley because it was $3 for the entire day, verses a one way trip for $1.50. When we return to New Orleans, the Quarter House will be our first choice for accommodations in the French Quarter.

Great location, close to everything but a quiet street. Great to have a laundry room and we enjoyed hotel breakfast on Sunday. Close to Canal street to catch the streetcars.

My group liked that space that we had, it was not far from public transit and in walking distance to major places of interest. I did appreciate the facility breakfast on Sunday and the meal provided in Tuesday during our stay. Our room was ready when we arrived early and they did allow us to check in early. The courtyard areas were very lovely. There was no noise from our room so we rested well.

The property could have been cleaner. There was a fair amount of dust on furniture items, the carpet made me think about how often it is cleaned and the couch had a smell in the fabric. There were also terrible smells in the stairwells and that odor was apparent in the living area of our 2 bedroom/bathroom living space. I suppose this would happen in older buildings from time to time.

Comfortable room, nicely decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and I liked that the toilet was separate from the sink. The small washer/dryer combo was a bonus. Convenient location to Canal to catch the street cars and buses.

Lots of good lighting, but a lamp in the living room would have been nice for reading. The dryer is super noisy as I think its going out. The air conditioner/fan is super noisy in the bedroom. All worked great though! Two of the bars next door attract an interesting crowd that sometimes like to congregate on the sidewalk. We never experienced a problem, just not desirable.

The location was amazing. Walking distance to pretty much everything you would want to see and do in New Orleans. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our Mardi Gras trip. This was a last-minute location because our booking that we had confirmed for over a year was cancelled on us without communication, after we already paid and left us stranded in NO (That place is called the Esplanade Guest House and the property management team are scammers. Don't book there). We were going to head back to the airport and go home. Luckily, the Quarter House had a great last minute rate and saved the trip.

If I had to mention something, I would say the lack of windows in the room. Also, not much food on the property but given the location, that is understandable.

The mattress was quite comfortable. Kitchen was small but user friendly. The Fat Tuesday buffet was excellent. I had other plans on Sunday, but grabbed a coffee and the brunch looked wonderful.

The bed was so close to the wall, that I hit my knee on the extended footboard many times and had to crab walk in and out. Also, I am 5’5” average height, the bed was so high I had climb up into it. It was an effort. Any kind of vanity shelf in the bathroom would be very helpful. The annoying front door recording was almost painful when coming and going. The court yard is a smoking area. It was unpleasant to try sit out there. These are nitpicking things mostly enjoyed our time here.

Staff were all great, super friendly and super helpful. And we loved having a separate bedroom from living room for the same or similar price to hotels nearby. When I sleep 3 hours less per day than my girlfriend, the separate bedroom is golden. Plus we had a full kitchen, ice maker in the freezer, coffee maker and microwave. We didn’t do any cooking, but the full kitchen made it possible if we had wanted to. Oh. And we loved the Mahogany Jazz bar next door. Super handy for a drink or two before or after going out for dinner.

The refrigerator was making weird noises — but we told reception not to worry about it and to fix it after we left. I am certain they would have fixed it or moved us to a new room had we asked, but we were always sleeping or on the move and didn’t want to deal with it. The bed was a bit smaller than if we had gotten a king size bed in a hotel room — but this was because we had a full separate living room with a sofa and kitchen (and I think the sofa was a sofa bed), so it’s not a complaint but just a note. The bed (which I think was a queen size) was fine and we loved having a separate bedroom and living room.
