Beautiful room and view of the ocean. We had breakfast and dinner at the Tiller 4 times and enjoyed each experience. Waiters were very good and food was amazing.

They were cleaning the septic tanks one of the mornings we woke up, so we were unable to sit outside (terrible smell) and the machines started running at 7am, waking everyone up. It smelled of sewage in the spa and the gym as well. I thought for the price we were paying (1000$ CND per night), they could have advised us of this service call and provided some sort of compensation (complimentary breakfast for example). Another thing is they didn't tell us when we checked in that the Tiller would be booked up every night. When we called to reserve, we were told it was booked for the next three nights so we were only able to eat there once.

This stay was for a girl's B-day celebration weekend away. We enjoyed all of the amenities. It was winter so we spent time in the amazing hot tub overlooking the stunning ocean views, took advantage of the cozy fire pit and sampled all of the lovely restaurants on the premise. Enjoyed a magical birthday dinner with another stunning ocean view. The service was impeccable and the menu was farm to table mouth watering along with an amazing wine selection to pare with all of their offerings. We cannot wait to return and bring our families!

There was nothing I would change.

getting a room on the 6th floor provided an excellent view of the ocean. The sound proof is good. Gardens are well maintained. loved the walking pathway. Loved that there was a kiddy pool and an adult pool. However some parents brought kids at the adult pool, therefore staff should intervene when this happens.

the pool: I would highly recommend that staff spot check people around the pool to make sure they are guests at the hotel and not friends of guests spending the day at the pool. more shady areas around the pool- lack of parasols. Drinking alcool in the pool should not be permitted. Showers before entering the pool should be mandatory.

The views are incomparable. From almost any angle of the property! Gorgeous footprint, comfortable rooms, the journey to get to Cape Neddick was worth it! Live music in the lobby pre-dinner was a serendipity.

The Tiller, Cliff House’s main restaurant, is overbooked, overrated and understaffed. The hype about the restaurant is misplaced: just because the Cliff House is amazing (and it is), its restaurant does not automatically earn the right to coast on the hotel’s coattails.

From entering the lobby to seeing the gorgeous views from the expansive windows by the staircase it was beautiful. There were comfortable places to sit and enjoy the views of the ocean and cliffs and also musical entertainment in the evening. Walking paths and outdoor fire pit were pretty. Our room was very clean and quiet. We loved the balcony with the ocean view. We ate at the Tiller Restaurant and it was very good.

The property and the view were amazing

The pillows were really uncomfortable The food was not great The smell of nubs in the hallway everytime we went to our room was tough to take - needs way better ventilation

The views were stunning! The food was incredible (breakfast was just ok)! The pools were very beautiful. The free snacks and water stations were a very nice and thoughtful touch.

The sunrise suite was on the ground floor so our view could have been better. The staff was just ok for a 5 star hotel. It was our wedding anniversary and they didn’t do much to wish us well. You’d think staying in a suite etc would get us to do something nice.

The staff and the dinning was ultimate experience for all three restaurants. The view was amazing from the room and the grounds. I can not say enough about how the staff catered to our every needs.

The a.c. was very noisy outside on our balcony. At times it took away from a beautiful view. Also the ice machine was extremely slow. Even with the couple of flaws I will go back again wonderful experience

We loved the comfortable beds, friendly staff and location.

The paint is severely chipping on the balcony which led to us bringing paint chips in on our feet unknowingly.

room has very noisy heating. SPA is so so: sauna had metal door handles, and many holes, so it barely held heat; navigation in the SPA is confusing; instead of promised 50min of massage you barely get 40.
