Love the clean interior beauty & young walking neighborhood of the canopy! I didn’t want to drive home, I preferred to drink & party, so before commiting to a fun night, I quickly booked a room for that night, after midnight & arrived close to 2am. As soon as I stepped on the Canopy/Hilton mat, I was greeted by staff who escorted me into the elevator up the front desk. Check in was pleasant & super efficient. Praying there was bottled water in the room (there wasn’t,) a great surprise was the immaculate filtered water station right by the elevator. The room was super comfortable with fantastic shower both hand held & large waterfall shower head! Btw sink/vanity was outside the bath toilet area facilitating getting ready. A noon checkout was extended an hour which I truly needed & appreciated!

I don’t think the TV worked, it could’ve been that I didint know how to work it. 😂 Having stayed at the canopy previously many times the TV is the only weakness unless you have your own Netflix/streaming accounts to log into. No movie purchases available. Would’ve appreciated 24hr snack access or candy machine, if snacks were available for purchase, I didn’t see them.

The rooms were well appointed, spacious & extremely comfortable. The gym was excellent & being located on the 5th floor meant that there’s a great view. It’s very well equipped & most most mornings ( we were there for six nights ) I had it to myself. The staff were delightful, all very friendly & helpful. We loved our stay.

My only criticism is that we had a room with a connecting door & you could literally hear everything that was going on in the adjacent room, which of course is fine if you’re with the family, definitely not so good if you’re not!

Location was excellent except for lack of parking, but the valet service was so extremely excellent and easy, it more than made up for that. And oh, the bed and pillows were so comfortable I almost didn't want to ever leave! Plus, that chaise buty the window with overhead lamp... reading my good book was made better reading it there. I loved the stay in every way! Except that I had to leave... because if I could, I would love there!!!! Oh, and the rooms were quiet 🤗

The shower was incredible, but I also enjoy a nice, relaxing bath so if I had a longer stay, it would be nice to have the option of a bathtub. Also, some literature in the room explaining amenities and how to use the phone to reach the front desk or valet would have been very helpful, as well as information on the spa and restaurant hours and services...I couldn't figure out how to reach anyone in the hotel without going up and down in the elevator to find someone.

Contemporary mish-mash of architectural features (eclectic?) that convey a casual and relaxed formality that carries over to the solicitous service provided by the entire team. The room was ample and comfortable: I’d copy some of its design elements to my own living space. Elevator-to-floor access ensured by scanned guest room keycards is definitely a plus!

Shared parking facility that is typical of lodging properties in a mixed-business zone. The result: no direct access to parking garage to/from check in/out. A minor inconvenience somewhat remedied by valet service.

I like the open storage area instead of a closet; I like the decor and set-up of the rooms and building; the bed is comfy; and the overall room is roomy. Great location, good price. I would stay there again.

Canopy did not honor the (lower) valet parking price given by Booking.com. I showed the front desk person the confirmation email, etc., but he would not honor it. I'm unsure with which party I'll have to verify the details of my reservation more carefully in the future: Booking or Canopy.

The Hello Betty was a horrible experience our team of 6 arrived at 4:30pm for happy hour & apps or dinner. The place was empty but the hostess almost forced us not to be seated b/c they were short handed and another 8 person group was coming. We convinced here to seat us and ordered drinks from the bar. It took more than 15 mins to get our drinks. Our servers were not friendly and seemed annoyed to help paying customers. We closed the check after one round of drinks and then ended up @ City Perch where the service, food & staff were exceptional. Hello Betty mgmt needs to see what city perch is doing cause it’s all great!!!

The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. Donald at the front desk is amazing. The rooms are top-notch. I stay at a lot of hotels in the DC area and this one beats any in the whole city. I now have made this hotel my primary choice when staying in/near DC. The coffee machine in the room itself beats any other stay! That’s right, the coffee in the room is better than any coffee shop coffee in the district.

There is nothing to not love. It’s in an extremely safe neighborhood too! Absolutely zero crime or vice in the vicinity. Squeaky clean and safe area.

This hotel is truly one of my favorites that I regularly stay at! Friendly accommodating staff. Excellent neighborhood with everything I need within walking distance. I love the room design. The area with the barn doors/cement entrance allows me to travel with my dog. There is no disgusting carpet. Bed is comfortable. Just a spectacular hotel! Love Hello Betty restaurant too!

Super comfortable beds. Good Nespresso machine in room. Easy climate control. App to use as key card. Wonderful staff, really impressed by them.

Polished / sealed concrete floor never looked clean even though it probably was. Blackout curtains didn't blackout at the tops. Refrigerator drawer was convenient but its cooling temperature was questionable. Deep square drawers weren't thoroughly clean in the corners, probably because of deep cube shape of the drawers, but I didn't want to use them because of that. I'm guessing I only noticed because the inside of the drawers was all white and if they were wood instead, I wouldn't have even noticed. All these things seemed to have to do with the design aesthetic which has a modern, urban vibe.

The room was very spacious, and I liked that there was plenty of space in the entryway for my luggage. The large shower had great water pressure. The bed was comfortable. The room had plenty of lighting. The location was very convenient, with lots of shops and food options around.

The parking situation was not ideal, it's $30 for a nearby garage overnight....but I think that comes with the location and I'm not sure there's much the hotel could do about that.
