Charlesmark Hotel is in a great position on Boylston Street opposite Boston Public Library and close to Copley T station so is ideal for getting round Boston. Rooms were fine and about the size we thought they were going to be. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Lift to all floors and keys allow room access and also front door access as front door is locked after 10pm.
The hotel advertises the fact you can get coffee and pastries from the cafe attached to the hotel but in our experience this was very hit and miss, most mornings the pastries had not been delivered. I think if you advertise a service then you should provide, likewise the room servicing seemed odd as sometimes the bed was made and sometimes not but towels were changed out, it was like half the room was serviced. To me for the hotel price then tea / coffee making facilities in room could be provided.

The hotel is located just in front of Copley station. There are bar and restaurant on the first floor, and you can receive morning coffee and small pastry at the bar. The room was clean and equipped with TV and small refrigerator. I visited Charles River Esplanade to see Boston Harbor Fest, and I could go back to the hotel on foot even in the late night, as many people also walked the same way towards Copley station.
Not really. 2 bottles of water are included only for the first day, but I could buy it for $1. It was a bit hard for me to use refrigerator, as it was put on the very upper shelf, I don't know why.

Good location, Cafe downstairs seemed very popular (our local kids said so too). Small croissant and drip coffee was available in the morning or you could purchase full offerings from the Cafe. Towels were fluffy and sufficient hangers.
We stayed in standard room which seemed very small - just enough room to walk around bed and for one suitcase to be out. Decor seemed dated but everything worked. Could have had more black out at windows - it was old fashioned mini blinds. That said we ended up feeling pretty good about the place. Old fashioned metal keys too. But lollipops at the reception.

Front desk staff were friendly, and the location was very convenient. Just a short walk from Boston Common and close to a wide array of restaurants and shopping. Room was small but comfortable. Strangely had a DVD and VHS player (who brings VHS tapes on their vacation?!). Good for a short stay. Choose it for the location and price, not amenities.
Guests are told breakfast will be available at 730, but it was closer to 815 (which is fine, but they should just say it's later rather than telling people 730). Staff member directed patrons to the restaurant instead of telling them to wait a few more minutes for the pastries. No coffee or hot water making facilities available outside of breakfast. Decent soundproofing but central air makes a loud rattling noise. Room was advertised as having a mini-fridge, but it did not. Very little storage space in the room if you have a suitcase. Sometimes the guest "lounge" (really just the restaurant's private event space) is used for private events and can be extremely noisy for adjacent rooms.

The location is perfect, bus and subway lines less than a block away and Newbury St at walking distance. This was the best location I could've picked for my stay in Boston. The staff was always super friendly and kind and you get a discount at the cafe as a hotel guest.
The room was small, and that's fine since we spent most of the time out, but the bed felt too small for a full-size, and we weren't too comfortable sleeping. Also, the lights were super dimmed, and we struggled when packing because the lights weren't bright enough. It looks good, but it could be more practical.

All the staff were so helpful regarding how to get to places and they checked routes for me and times of opening of galleries etc . The outside space with tables and umbrellas facing Boston Library was my favourite place as was the complimentary fresh croissants and coffee and the delicious food from the restaurant with lovely servers . It was a great spot for a drink in the evening feeling comfortable as a lone traveller and good to place to watch the world go by.
Room and bathroom was a little small but was comfortable . The mini fridge was on the top of a shelf that I couldn't reach as I am only 5'3 " . I think that soundproofing could be better , I could hear the person in the next room coughing!

Great location, staff was extremely helpful and friendly, café, and restaurant right next-door made it very easy to quickly get food, The room was small but sufficient for two people with a nice size bathroom and all the supplies that were needed.
The guest above us were extremely noisy every night, I don’t know if they were fighting or throwing furniture around or what the situation was but when I called the front desk, they had already had numerous complaints each night so in my opinion, they should’ve been removed from the premises, but Nonetheless it did not keep me up all night, but it was annoying.

I came to Boston to run the marathon, and I loved that the hotel was located right at the finish line — the location couldn’t have been more perfect. It was central to everything, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
he room wasn’t quiet — I could clearly hear loud footsteps from the room above every time someone walked. Also, there was a Wi-Fi issue that lasted for two days, though it was finally resolved on the last day of my stay.

The front door/check in staff was AMAZING! They were so nice and knowledgeable! They weren't just there to "collect a paycheck," you could tell they really loved customer service & making your stay thr best! They offered many recommendations & made us feel right at home. Hot, fresh coffee, fresh fruit and pastries in the morning. Super close to all the sights.
Not that we didnt like, but the rooms were a bit dated, but had everything we needed. The bathroom was remodeled beautifully!

The location was excellent - perfect for those using the Logan Express for Back Bay. Copley T station was on the doorstep, giving access to all of Boston. They offer a coffee and pastry for breakfast, which is a nice touch, though the staff seem focused on other things, until you remind them. It is a street away from the fantastic Newbury St, which they don’t make enough of in their material.
The rooms don’t have much sound proofing but to be fair, the other guests had realised this and were quiet when walking past.
