I booked this hotel looking to save a few bucks relative to the hotels I have stayed at in Boston in the past, like the Fairmont, the Liberty and the Intercontinental. The Copley square hotel was less than half the cost of these. I came to Boston to visit my daughter and see the city. I didn't care if the hotel had a gym or restaurant because I knew i'd get plenty of exercise walking everywhere and I didn't plan on eating there. I didn't go into the restaurant though I looked at the menu and it looked really good. In all honesty the caliber of the restaurant seems a bit better than the caliber of the hotel. I was looking for something less expensive this trip so I'd have more money to put towards meals and experiences outside the hotel, i.e. museums, shows, I rented a car for a day so we could day trip, etc. If your'e here to see Boston on a vacation or look at schools, this hotel is ideally located. The location is fantastic for a visit to Boston actually. The lobby is almost nonexistent, it is not a luxurious hotel, it is not brimming with amenities. The " fitness center" has one treadmill. But Boston was my fitness center. I logged about 10 miles a day walking. There is a washer / dryer you can use which can be handy and there is a small communal kitchen, which I would have only used for the microwave, but it is there if you need it. The rooms themselves aren't the biggest but they aren't cramped, at least the double double I stayed in wasn't. I wasn't planing on ballroom dancing in the room so It was perfectly fine. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the beds had nice fluffy comforters. The room and bathroom were clean and cute. The shampoo/ shower gel/ lotion provided had a beautiful lavender smell that someone actually complimented me on when I was out and about. The bathroom was up to date, not old or dirty. I plan on staying here again.

For myself, no complaints. Understand that the hotel restaurant is only open at night. There are next to no amenities. That includes no coffee maker in your room. Go out and enjoy the city of Boston. Go to a local place for your coffee. It will be a five minute walk.

The bed was comfortable and fitted out with good basic bedding, the little desk, desk chair and desk lamp provided enough room and visibility for reading and correspondence, the closet was suitably roomy and supplied with sturdy hangers, ironing board and luggage rack, and the bathroom was nicely finished with an attractive and generous sink, spacious and easily used tub/shower, and an adequate toilet. The room was attractively furnished, quiet and effectively air conditioned.

A radio would have been a nice amenity, an easy chair would have been welcomed, and dresser-type drawers for clothing would have been convenient.

Location is perfect for work in downtown Boston. Very easy access to Prudential Center (5 min walk to back entrance), Hynes convention center and to plenty of shops and restaurants. The public library is around the corner. The Logan express stops are 1.5 blocks away so it is very easy to access to/from airport. Staff was very kind, rooms were spotless and the guest kitchenette in the ground floor is a great service (microwave, coffee/tea machine, sink and tables).

A few extra plugs in the rooms would be desirable. I would also recommend adding small shelving and extra towel hooks in the bathroom.

The location is fantastic - right in the heart of Back Bay - making this hotel good value for money. My room was a decent size with a desk and chair, closet and luggage rack making it a great pied-a-terre for my four-day trip. The reception and housekeeping staff were friendly and the housekeeping staff does an excellent job - my room was spotless and they made the bed and tidied / cleaned the bathroom each day.

Although this hotel has been nicely renovated, the infrastructure is old. The heating is quite loud when it turns on / off which woke me up multiple times each night. There was only one rather dim overhead light above the bed (apart from bedside lamps) so I couldn't really use the full-length mirror / easily find things in my suitcase at night. There is only one elevator so there's a bit of a wait each time - and the elevator broke down on the second day of my trip, luckily we could use the backup original elevator instead. Lastly, the housekeeping staff (who did an awesome job with the rooms) loudly called out to each other in the hallway from 7:30am - noting as this is a quick fix that could enhance guests' experience at the hotel.

Nicely updated hotel with the usual amenities. Great check in and front desk staff. Location was perfection and the main reason we loved the hotel. Right on Copley Square - make sure you go see the Library! And a few blocks from Newbury Steet which is amazing for great shops and restaurants. Beds were nice. Bathrooms were nice and decent size. All in all I give it a 10/10 because of the price for being in Central Boston. I'll definitely stay here again. Nice Hotel!!

Some kind of a small bar or marketplace to pick up water, juices, snacks or a few things for your room. They had a soda machine and some bad coffee but that was about it. If you needed water or anything else healthy to drink you had to leave the hotel. Small stuff though. It wouldn't keep me from coming back. Just weird to go to the "kitchen/lounge" area and see just a pepsi machine and a very sub par coffee station with coffeemate and sweet and low. Do people really still use that stuff?!?! How about some almond milk, half and half, organic sugar, honey and stevia? That would bump it up a notch.

Location of the hotel was great. A 5 minute walk from Back Bay train station and eight opposite the shopping centre. The Aqua Ducks even leave next to the hotel. If you want to ne in an area with all the cool restaurants and shops and close to the Freedom trail. This is your hotel.

There are no kitchen amenities in the room. Kettle and coffee making is all on a lower level of the hotel in a communal kitchen. Kitchen was well set up with vending machine.

Great location, lovely interior and super friendly staff. I did book this room solely because it said it had parking but when I arrived it was valet parking and not included in the price I paid which was a bit annoying but probably my fault as I should have looked into the parking situation more. We had a cosy double room and it was really nice but definitely cosy for 2 people and we had a problem with the fire alarm going off because of the steam from the shower. Other than that very clean and comfy and would recommend.

Carol Rogal, the assistant front office manager, is the embodiment of service excellence. Carol spoke with me for over 15 minutes with graceful patience on Friday before my trip, working out all my concerns. One just does not find that type of authentic and caring personal touch in the hospitality industry today. I had not experienced that "old world" spirit of compassionate human connection from a hotel in quite some time. She is the single reason I will always book this hotel when visiting Back Bay in the future.

Vending Machine payment difficulties

Excellent location and very easy to get to and from airport on the Logan Express. Staff were really helpful and always on hand when needed - notably fantastic customer service compared to other places. Rooms super clean.

There is free coffee available on the ground floor but would have liked this to be available in the room. Gym is also available but is really small and not much in it. Had to ask for shower gel to be replenished. Issue with air-conditioning in room which was resolved by a fan being brought into the room.

The hotel's location is truly fantastic, right in the heart of everything you'd want to explore in the city. Getting around was incredibly convenient, with the subway station just around the corner. The room was exceptionally cozy and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. The cleanliness of the room was also impressive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. What truly stood out, though, was the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests, making me feel welcome and well cared for throughout my stay. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area since it offers a prime location, comfortable accommodations, cleanliness, and a staff that goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. It exceeded my expectations in many ways.
