It was close to my destination. No breakfast offered but restaurants nearby. Price low compared to other hotel options in the area. The room had nice river view across sloping manicured lawn, a fridge, microwave and very comfortable bed. Tv with lots of channels and the room was clean.
Could use some updating. Loud fan in bathroom connected with light switch, no separate switch for either. Water in bath was discolored but ran clear after a minute..maybe rusty pipes? Only a narrow shelf, no vanity space around bathroom sink and no bar for a hand towel. Toilet didn’t flush well..guess that’s why there was a plunger handy 😊..

A motor court style motel conveniently located on route 9. Backs on the Quaboag River which is on the Blue Trail and there is a very large grassy area leading down to the water with picnic tables. There are so many birds. We stayed in the 2-story building which does not back on the river. Units 1 through 17 or 18 all have back doors leading out to the back area, great for walking, letting kids and dogs run around, etc. It's a beautiful area with woods, ponds and a scenic covered bridge not far away. There's also a fantastic bbq place on wheels, open 3 days a week, called Pig Park. Small menu, fantastic ribs and brisket. Room was nicer than expected, more like a hotel room than your typical motel. The studios have a small kitchen setup, two burners, sink, micro, toaster, mini fridge no oven. Dishes, cutlery and cookware provided. Overall we loved it and plan to return in the later Spring
Very loud fan in the bathroom and kitchen! The bathroom fan was connected to the light so if you turned the light on, it was loud.

A lodging plucked away from the late 80s, early 90s for the not too picky traveler. The service however, was in the 21st century. Super friendly staff, and housekeeping was on point. We went for coffee and a sandwich, and upon return, the room was already cleaned, the beds were made, and the bathroom sparkled. Our room was spacious, with handy little kitchenette, overlooking rolling hills. I'd definitely go back if I had to be in the area again. Thanks for having us...!

I was exhausted when I arrived after 8 hours of driving. The office manager asked what the symbol was on my driver's licence. I explained that I am very hard of hearing and wear 2 hearing aids. When I turned on the television later, I noticed that it had been programmed for subtitles. This kind attention to detail and respect for my disability was greatly appreciated.

The scenery was really peaceful and serene. We were able to see a rainbow when we stepped out of the back door of our room! The staff was very friendly and very helpful and it was a very clean room.
The heat didn't work when we got into the room but the woman in the office fixed it right away. After the heat was fixed it was still a bit cold in the room and we noticed a significant gap around the door that let in cold air as well as a lot of light.

Family owned. Family lives on property. Very attentive staff. Exactly what a small traditional Motor Lodge should be. Clean, comfortable, hot shower, friendly helpful staff, good parking, nice neighborhood, great creek view from room porch. I have no connection to staff or property, I’m just a happy traveler that has stayed there twice and had a great experience and will be back.

Beautiful views by the river & fabulous scenery with the show of “autumn leaf “ peeping. This property is obviously under “refurbishment” and has construction materials sitting around , which definitely takes away from the curb appeal on arrival. We stayed in #14 and it was very nice. The beds were extremely comfortable—the room has been freshly painted in soothing colors. There was a very large desk—nice dresser credenza type furniture where you could spread out & have room to lay out your paperwork/laptop etc. The lady working in the office was so friendly & accommodating—she went above & beyond to make sure we had what we needed . Good location. We ordered delivery from the Chinese Restaurant just a short jaunt away & it was SO GOOD. We love these family owned establishments & always feel so fortunate when we find these hidden gems!!
The room had a strong musty odor. We opened the windows & turned the fan on the AC on. We stayed here 2 nights & the musty smell continued to linger. Think a dehumidifier could possibly help. Don’t know if all rooms have this same musty smell, but this needs owners attention.

The room was exceptionally clean, attractively decorated, well furnished and perfectly outfitted for extended stay. We only stayed one night but could have comfortably stayed longer. The kitchenette was great with electric burners, coffee maker, fridge, dishes, dish soap and silverware. The grounds were expansive with open field down to a river. There were lots of bird houses occupied with a variety of song birds and I enjoyed watching a family of Canada geese maneuver down to the river in the morning. We were able to have our small dog with us and appreciated no cats had been in our room as my friend is highly allergic. We enjoyed the location and our stay considerably.
I encourage you to not let the exterior of the buildings deter you. The proprietors are clearly working to upgrade the facilities. My only critique would be that one lamp didn’t work (yet there were many others to use and enjoy) and the pillows were very firm, contrary to my preferences. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend the Copper Lantern to others.

Staff were really nice. Bed was comfortable and location was good. Lovely view out the back windows.
Some stale smoke smell, and smoke smell coming in from others smoking nearby.

This place has excellent view and surrounded with more natural beauty. Anyone who is looking for spending quality time with their friends or family this is the must recommended hotel. Best part is this property has a river view which made my day.
