The location was great with a lovely view from the 10 th floor. Having the large room , it didn’t matter that the bathroom was small. It had a good shower and everything that we needed. I liked the idea of the shell kitchen area and fridge.the iron and ironing board and hairdryer were essential extras which were all provided with the room.

It may have been a one off as Detroit were playing football at home and it was very busy. We had poor service in the bar when we ordered Dinner one evening . You order at the bar. We ordered drinks and a meal. After a while I went to find out where it was and it was in takeaway boxes . The drinks were bottled and tops still on and he was serving other people. I had to request plates and glasses as we had said that we were sitting in to eat. He was not happy with anybody and I guess he was understaffed but that was not my fault. The rest of the time, the staff were amazing and very helpful so hopefully that was a one off.

I loved the staff! Detroit had a very bad winter storm the night before our arrival and it had taken out the hydro to a majority of the area. as we were checking in the hotel suddenly filled with people looking for a place to stay. we later learned there was 126 unannounced check ins within 30 minutes. The staff was blindsided but they all remained calm, kept smiling, they were so welcoming and they truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone was taken care of.

the angles of the windows allow other guests to look directly into your room including seeing the toilet.

Everything was clean , easy access to the activities we went for. Most of the staff was amazing !!!! Saturday check in attendants were absolutely amazing and helpful !!!!

The elevators did not all work or were too slow The desk attendant Sunday morning had an attitude and resistant to help us figure out the elevator and where to go . He was however the only available attendant. The valet attendants were not friendly or helpful Sunday morning. There should have been a continental breakfast .

View was excellent in the room and it was clean very important. We were pleased at the location of the hotel as well.

The valet was too expensive for overnight visitors and for the price there should not have been a 30-minute wait to get your vehicle. Because the hotel was a little pricey there should have been some kind of discount for hotel stayers as an incentive to not go down the street for a cheaper rate.

Location to conference, view, bed was comfortable.

The little things, the staff are trying but little mistakes are being made, the manager gets it and he was trying, but the crew just isn't a well oiled machine yet. My room was missing bath towels, the restaurants(s) were hit or miss on when they were open. The roof top seems like a great opportunity to enjoy the property but each time I checked it was closed, morning and night.

The rook was bigger than expected I think I got bumped up. The staff quickly checked me in & were polite, friendly & courteous. The Faygo and chips as little snack was an unexpected delight.

The outlets were few and far away from the bed. Also the lights (bed lamps & floor lamps) had only two settings extreme bright & off. Would’ve been nice to have something else since that was primary lighting in the space. Also there was weird brown stain on the bedroom window ledge.

The staff was amazing, very kind and welcoming. Housekeeping was very responsive and got our room together everyday. And let’s talk about the view! If you’re going to stay here I recommend getting your money’s worth by getting a room on one of the top floors; a king suite if you can. It was worth it with nice views of the city and river. Also it’s very close to everything you may need to do downtown, walking distance, scootering or a short uber ride.

The room wasn’t the cleanest when we arrived. It just needed a little dusting, vacuum and change of sheets. I wasn’t upset because I’m very particular about my space whereas others may not be. Housekeeping was on it! Used that fabulouso, dusted it down, new sheets and a good vacuum. The property is also a bit more outdated than expected, I don’t think it’s worth what they charge but you pay for the view mostly. Overall? 7/10 experience

this hotel has style and it is located in the dowtown just beside the Detroit People Mover. the breakfast was complimentary !

Staff were super friendly. Room was large and bed was comfortable. Good location.

Bathroom was small, I would've rather had some of the extra space in the room to go towards the bathroom area. There was a red/brown stain on the side of the bed sheets when we arrived. Parking was really expensive and I did not like that it was by valet only. Huge line to get your car upon checkout at 11am.

Proximity to Huntington Place Convention Center was ideal. Staff was very friendly and hospitable. Check-in was super easy. River View was great! Room was clean, comfortable, quiet with no street noise. Will definitely stay with Fort Pontchartrain Detroit, again!

The bathroom was tiny! Clean, and well stocked with amenities, including hair dryer, lighted vanity mirror, plenty of towels, but request a larger bathroom if required.
