The location was great for us and the lobby had a real fireplace which, after we asked, someone came and built a fire in. On a cold, rainy day, it was perfect! We also really enjoyed the porch. Excellent views too! We ate at The Ice House (a BBQ restaurant on the property), and the food was delicious! Our room was decorated nicely and the water in shower was hot. Overall, I would consider staying there again next year. We brought our own bikes and could park them right out front, which was convenient.

I had to ask for fresh towels. I thought that leaving them on the floor would indicate that, but I'm not sure the room was even entered. Also, my husband (the coffee drinker), thought the coffee station was poorly stocked and inadequate. A real mug with coffee/tea all day would have put this hotel over the top for him. They also have a rewards club for points at participating places, which is a nice idea. However, they wouldn't give me points for my stay because I used booking.com

Our room had a wonderful view that aligns with the pictures advertised online. The hotel lobby is very classy and the staff were super friendly. The location was close enough to the shops and restaurants that it is only a 5 minute leisurely walk. The room was very bright and clean! It has a pool and hot tub which we used to wind down in the evening. They also took our luggage to and from the Ferry so we did not have to lug it around ourselves.

The bathroom in the room is very small but we did not have any other dislikes, which is a rare occurrence.

The front yard area has a beautiful view. There are Adirondack chairs available to sit in and just enjoy the day. The rooms were clean and quiet and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had a great stay. We only had dinner at the hotel Again the staff was excellent and the food amazing.

The bathroom was quite small, just the toilet and tub. The sink was in the room. Unfortunately the door opened in instead of out, so it took some fancy dancing to open and close while inside.

The location of the property is ideal overlooking the boat marina and harbor. The historic element to this location with beautiful, well appointed decor, allows one to take in the past and appreciate modern amenities. The staff, all around, are truly helpful, kind and provide excellent recommendations. The seating area in front of the hotel and back provide some of the best experiences in the island. Wonderful good options with two restaurants. I prefer the outdoor Ice House in the back of the property surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Still wishing for a coffee bar that opens early in the morning. The in-room coffee-pots, just don’t do it.

The location on the island. Walking distance from the ferry docks. The staff at the desk and guy in charge of handing our luggage-keeping it for us and bringing it to the dock to be sent in the ferry at the timeframe we were going back to the main land.

The noise above us was very loud throughout our whole stay. I understand it’s an older house, but it was extremely loud above us. It sounded like someone was constantly walking/running/stomping.(not sure if it was kids?which families with children I would recommend a guest floor for them) or if it was just loud adults? We were even woke up by loud noises in the middle of the night. We stayed here last year in a different room and did not have this problem. Fir the price we pay to stay here, I think this needs to be addressed.:/

Location was fabulous. Room was very cozy with window overlooking the bay.

Towels could have been a little softer. Pillows were very hard. Barbecue outdoor dining (forgot the name.) Very rude manager or whoever oversaw the guests. We’re seated and no one realized that we hadn’t been waited on accept for the gentleman who was always just standing around talking the whole time. We had dinner 2 nights on 6/6 & 6/7. He definitely needs to be more efficient and polite. Thank you.

We liked the view from our room. The room was clean, cute, and comfortable. Walking into the room and seeing a small box of fudge and an inviting letter for staying with the hotel was super neat! The bike rental in front of the hotel was super convenient. The Ice House BBQ behind the restaurant was our favorite place to eat. Outdoor seating and amazing food! Definitely recommend eating there and staying here.

Seemed like the shower water pressure you'd get at a campsite. Thankfully, we were there for one night, so we didn't need a shower. I think that for the price of the tiny room we got there could have been better accommodations or a lowered price. But we would definitely return and stay here again.

I loved how the hotel was a short walk to all the shops and restaurants, but there was also a lot to do at the hotel such as sitting on the front porch watching people walk by, hanging out by the outside fireplaces, etc. there was always something to do. The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly.

The bed was a little bit uncomfortable, but I am also picky about the bed I sleep in.

Beautiful, well-kept structure with brightly colored painted room, which was spotless. Lovely view of harbor. Location was perfect. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but still close enough to enjoy downtown activities. Nice that luggage transfer from ferry to hotel was included in price.

Thought the Ice House BBQ was a little pricey for what you got as far as small order of nachos (no plates) and (mushy)whitefish dinner.

very pretty and nice view. I loved the property just disappointed. we needed to leave and shorten our stay and couldn’t get a refund for the last day. we had a medical emergency and the hotel wouldn’t even give us 50% off our astronomical room rate. the hotel was fine but they could of at least given us a partial refund.

nothing but the refund I thought we should have gotten. Our friends were at another hotel and they got a FULL REFUND AND WE COULDNT GET ANYTHING. WE ARE SENIORS AND THINGS HAPPEN UNEXPECTEDLY. WE HAD AN 8 hour drive back and it wasn’t as though we wanted to leave. we HAD TO LEAVE
