The inn was beautifully landscaped. It’s also in a good location and you can basically get anywhere on the island from it. The staff was courteous. The complimentary breakfast was also larger than we anticipated.

The walls are pretty thin, so we heard people and their kids walking around, talking, etc. late at night and that was a little annoying and it made our stay less comfortable. Our room also looked nothing like what was pictured in the original listing. There is barely a garden view worth paying extra money for. If I knew what the room actually looked like, I probably wouldn’t have booked it. The room was just too expensive for what we actually received, in my opinion.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing! I didn’t realize when booking our room that it didn’t have air conditioning, it is very early in the season and usually it would not be needed. We were very lucky to get a gorgeous day in May. They moved us immediately to another room! Every person we came in contact with during our stay went above and beyond! They handled our luggage so we didn’t have to deal with it on the island. I am glad we stayed and already are planning to stay again next year!

Location is great! Well within walking distance to main attractions. We stayed in the cottage. Breakfast was decent, good variety for continental. Cleaning and kitchen staff very nice. The cottage balcony is wonderful, very nice views. Morning staff was very friendly. Bedding clean and comfortable.

Gap under door to hallway, bathroom floor stained, only chair in room had stains on it. Mattress is very firm. Blind over balcony door doesn't quite cover the glass. Arrived about 2 hours after check in, the girls at the desk were not very friendly

I loved that everything was really clean. I loved the view of the courtyard. I loved the layout of the room, when traveling with a baby it was nice. The breakfast was great. I enjoyed renting the bikes from the hotel, it made things much easier.

The only downfall, and it’s being knit picky. We had to call down to get more towels and bedding for the sofa bed. It was just a minor inconvenience. If you need more then 2 towels ask in advance!

Great location close to everything. The property was clean and well kept, Historic old property but it was well maintained. The breakfast was very good. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating!

Nothing really. We did not find anything we didn't like during our stay. May be some more furniture on the outdoor porches would have been nice. I am stretching here; the place was great!!!

Location is great - a bit down from the main busy section of downtown - an easy walk. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice view of the water. Tasty breakfast each morning. Bed was comfortable and warm (chilly October nights.) Complimentary water/coffee/tea/hot chocolate daily. Porter will transport your luggage from and to the ferry dock.

We were there in the off-season so it wasn't very crowded. The weather was perfect. where the house is located is right across from the harbor, which is awesome to watch at night. not righy in downtown area so it's much quieter.

For some reason, our booking get lost, but the hotel was very accommodatable in finding another room for us.

Wonderful atmosphere with the historic building and iconic setting. Beautiful grounds as well. Perfect location just outside busiest "downtown" blocks of the city. Very good staff - at the desk and kitchen (breakfast) and housekeeping. Comfortable bed. The availability of the "parlor" for sitting, reading, etc. is also nice.

It was clean and comfortable. The location was within walking distance of the main downtown shops and restaurants. Nice breakfast buffet included.

Room numbers and locations in the different buildings was a little confusing; but, made sense by the end of our 1-night stay. They could add room number signs at stairways/hallway ends: (2100-2110 —>, etc.)

Very homey and comfortable. Also nice location close enough to town central but far enough away from any noise levels.

Little worn and we were put in the secondary house not the main one. Also the windows are in dire need of replacement. A little pricey for quality of room. $300 with tax per night.
