The amenities really made this place worth it! We took the bikes out each day, enjoyed the delicious breakfast, afternoon tea, and the wine and cheese at night. I was very surprised how much they offered with each meal. We even changed our dinner reservation one night so we can stay and enjoy the wine and cheese for longer!

Because it’s a bed and breakfast, the walls are rather thin and you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the rooms around you. Luckily I brought a sound machine to sleep with because I expected this. But if you’re a light sleeper, definitely take this in to consideration.

This B&B is perfectly located on the beach block in a quiet area of Cape May. The building and grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of porch space to enjoy. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. Not only do you get a delicious made to order breakfast, but they also serve tea and sweets late afternoon, and wine and antipasto early evening. Bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels are available for all to use. We will definitely be going back!

The only “bad” thing was that the sea gulls were a bit troublesome during late afternoon. But, when you’re at the beach that is to be expected. The staff is quick to offer help and tips for saving your snacks from being stolen by a hungry bird.

Breakfast was great. Afternoon wine and appetizers were nice. Iced tea and water in the lobby was appreciated. We were moved to room 5 , it was very comfortable and cool. Staff were friendly and kind. We enjoyed the complimentary beach chairs, towels, umbrella and bicycles. Took advantage of those things each day. Parking was good.

Rm 11 where we were the 1st 3 nights was definitely not worth 500.00/night. No wifi. Hot room, even with air-conditioning ... it was a old unit. Tub horrible. Sink didn't drain well at all.

Excellent breakfast wide variety of foods offered also four o’clock tea coffee and pastries and at five thirty wine and vhhese plates very pretty indoor dinning area. Great wait staff

Very tiny bed room and bathroom small bath tub.bathroom faucets looked like they were fifty years old sometimes hard to turn off, But plenty of hot water and excellent toiletries, Hotel is less then a block from the beach but a mile from the center of town if walking. Hotel is in a beautiful neighborhood

The breakfast was very good. You have a variety to choose from for breakfast. Robin our server was excellent. She was pleasant and help. She was always coming back to the table to ask if we needed anything else. The afternoon tea and sweets were good. The wine and cheese was a nice touch too. There was plenty of seats on the porch to sit and relax. Having our own balcony to sit and see and listen to the ocean in the morning was very relaxing.

The breakfast was great. It is walking distance to the beach. They provided beach chairs and umbrellas for use which was nice. They also provided bicycles for use. Overall the staff was pleasant and helpful.

The room was on the 3rd floor and was not expected. It was not mentioned when we booked the room or we wouldn't have stayed there. The steps were steep and the room was small. We didn't like the old shower. It is "cute" and part of the Victorian charm but the clingy shower curtain is terrible. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. We were also there as they were painting the outside and doing maintenance.

I loved the location. It is right across from the ocean. I just had a comfortable feeling from the time I got there till I left. Cape May is my favorite place to go and Angel. By the Sea was a surprise because I didn’t even know it was there. We were very happy where we use to stay. But I’m so happy I saw your advertisement on Facebook. Now you are our favorite place.

We had to stay in a mini queen room that was very small. I didn’t book early enough so that’s all they had. I wasn’t happy with the room . It was very small and the sink was not in the bathroom. Which I do not like. We had to be moved into a larger room the last night be cause of a problem In our room. It was king size bed , if bathroom and porch. Loved it. But I would not let the smaller room keep me from. Coming again. Just would not take a Mini Queen. Everything else was wonderful. Thank you Angel by the Sea. Diane DiGregorio

Angel of the Sea is a throwback to how hotels used to be before AirBnB/chain hotels etc. Run by a tight team of locals with insider knowledge this guest house is truly unique. The decor is beautiful, think faded Bridgeton vibes with florals, thick carpets and an open fire. The free bikes were such a treat and they were in cute colors too! Breakfast was fabulous, we had the eggs Benedict and granola with fresh coffee and orange and the wine and cheese at 5pm was such a treat, we felt like dukes and duchesses! The staff were friendly and helpful and recommended Lobster House for our first night, where we feasted on fresh mussels and oysters with a hefty serving of wine! The location was great, about a 10 minute bike ride into the Main Street of the town and 2 minute walk from the beach (I recommend getting up to see the sunrise). We couldn’t have had a better stay.

If I was to book again, I would do so directly from the hotel as I believe there is a smaller selection of rooms available on Booking.com

My husband & Iiked the breakfast that was served every morning.& the wine and cheese served in the evening. The staff was exceptional. Robin, Kim, Bo & Rosia. They took such good care of us for an entire week.

They really need ceiling fans on the porch because it gets so hot in the afternoon from the afternoon sun.

The little extra's all with an exceptionally friendly staff. Tea/sweets every afternoon, wine and cheese platter every early evening, short walk to beach with chairs, towels and umbrella's provided. And the place is so quant you love just being there.

Not sure why but I had to change rooms, and saw that 2 other guests had to during stay. My first room was wonderful, 2nd just a bit small. Need to have bookings improved through 3rd parties. Would have loved an in room fridge to hold a cold beverage but they did allow you to keep items in their main fridge.
