This is our fourth stay at this location and it has never failed to satisfy. We volunteer at the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child processing center in Charlotte, and this location is at the opposite end of the street; very convenient! Tip about the breakfast - If you disassemble the breakfast biscuit (separate the biscuit from its contents) and use the toaster in the room to toast the biscuit, and then warm the contents in the microwave for about 30 seconds, it will taste much better than relying solely on the microwave. The hotel is still dealing with the whole covid/caronavirus panic, so the very nice breakfasts that were available during our first stays are now a thing of the past. Breakfast last year was presented in a paper bag, so they are improving. This year the meal was presented in a compartmented plastic container and was nice, but it's not quite the same as years past.

Booking was easy and provided the Booking.com cancellation policy which is always a plus. Thankfully we did not have to use it. The price for a suite in Charlotte was excellent. Location is convenient to the Billy Graham Library and the cafe next door had good food. We were given bag breakfasts due to COVID. The 2 bedroom suite with pull out sofa met our needs. Parking was free and plentiful.

It seems they were overbooked and understaffed for the days we were there. The young man at check in was friendly and helpful even though we had to go down and get sheets for the pullout sofa, more towels, and coffee. Other staff were not as friendly and bordered on rude. The room desperately needed a deep cleaning. The fold out mattress appeared to never have been vacuumed. One bathroom floor was sticky and the desk chair was tattered and worn.

We loved the set up of the room. It was beautiful.

The elevator wasn't clean. It could use a constant sanitation and sweeping. The toilet wasn't working when we got there. We told the guy at the front desk and they fixed it right away.

While checking-in I found out from the receptionist that they didn't have the room I requested. So he was so nice to upgrade me without asking for the same price.

The bathroom toilet in one bedroom kept getting stopped up. The pool was not available for use. When the room keycards were deactivated and went to the lobby to get the reactivated; the receptionist was not there. There was like 12 people waiting for service and the gentleman was gone to get food.

Really enjoyed my stay here - Ivan, the front desk staff was amazing, super friendly, professional, efficient, and greeted me with a smile. Check-in process was less than 2 minutes, the lobby area has complimentary coffee/tea 24hrs a day & the area was clean, airy and loved how they have treats, toys and stuff for people with pets and those who stay long term. Room was great! Loved how spacious it was, kitchen was fully-stocked, big fridge, microwave, and lots of cabinets for storage, etc. Proper table for dining, living room area, with lots of pillows, big TV, good amount of channels, and everything was clean and somewhat organized. Bedroom had 2 beds, good height, comfy pillows and loved how there was a TV in the bedroom too. Sink and bathroom area was clean and everything worked! :)

Stayed here before - and was happy to come back! The staff here were so friendly, and really enjoyed the customer service - check-in was a breeze, the guy checking me in was super nice, remembered me from my prior stay and we chatted for quite a bit too. House keeping were always smiling and happy to help when I needed more towels, soap, etc. Room was comfy - loved how the kitchen was fully equipped - fridge, microwave, cutlery, etc.

The rooms with the kitchen were great. It was quiet and safe. I was amazed that the only way I knew that they accepted pets was when I saw one. It had a basketball court and my family loved going out there throwing the ball through the hoops.

Need to do a little cosmetic to the outside of the building so it won't look so dry. The elevators need cleaning. The bathrooms need to be upgraded because the walls' paint was peeling and in the bedroom area. Headboards in the bedrooms were peeling. The hallways and wallpaper were torn in several areas.

We liked that the room was spacious enough for everyone to relax and get rested while visiting the area. It's always nice to have an actual kitchen and not just a microwave and/or small refrigerator. I thought it was cool that there was a basketball court next to the pool in the courtyard. Not sure if it's BYO or if they had them at the front desk. I forgot to ask. Great location on South side of town, but still close to everything.

It's pretty rundown, and it's obviously been abused by previous customers around the grounds and inside the hallways & rooms. Our room was right next to an exit, so we constantly smelled cigarettes. And every time someone would come or go out the door, it was loud. We could hear kids (or maybe dogs?) upstairs in the room above, running around. So, there were definitely some down sides. But nothing that made it a deal breaker.

I love this hotel! We stayed here the first time when we were moving to Florida to Virginia and needed a stop for the night, everyone was so sweet and respectful to our needs to social distant and they wore masks. We went back to the hotel on our way back to Florida and it was amazing again and I hope we get to stay here again in the future. I love how affordable the king and queen suites, we were bummed out when we couldn't book a king suite again but the queen size was also amazing! I love the kitchenette and also the fact there's everything I need them to cook meals for my family. I truly love this hotel, sonesta hotels are now my favorite

The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom was very slippery so it was hard to get out of the shower without falling so I do recommend getting extra towels

I loved how nice and clean it was. As soon as you walk in you can tell how much the staff cares about their job. Everyone was very polite and super helpful. I’m definitely coming back my next stay in Charlotte.
