The breakfast was wonderful and the people were friendly. I love being in the mountains and being so close to the lake. The weather was beautiful. I loved sitting out on the private balcony. I also loved the coffee bar and home made cookies. Lovely, homey place.

Honestly everything was great. The only thing that was a little annoying (just to me) was the a/c unit in the room was making a small racket but I know that was probably because of the water it was putting off. My husband loves it cool so we had to have it on haha but other than that I have no complaints.

Location was great for the various reasons we traveled to this particular area. The breakfasts were excellent. Each mornings' breakfast was appropriate for that days activities. Taste was excellent.

Not that I think it can be done, but in the particular room we were in, the orientation of the bed to the TV was not good. At home we do not have a TV in our bedroom but the only way to watch TV in this particular room was from the bed and as mentioned, the orientation was not conducive.

Rich and Kim were delightful. They were flexible w breakfast time knowing we wanted to get an early start on The NC bicycle event we attended. Having the breakfast room available during the day was a plus as was the outdoor sitting areas.

Could use a variety of pillows as the ones provided were a bit hard . Mattress topper was a bit too mushy. Felt like I was sinking into a giant marsh mellow that made it hard to turn and get out of.

We loved our stay at Grafton Lodge. Breakfast was fantastic and the company and conversation were great. As first-timers to the area, we loved the location! So close to trails and Lake Lure and Chimney Rock villages. Close to many dining locations. The room was well-equipped with everything you might need for your stay. The bed was comfortable with high-quality linens. The hosts were amicable and super helpful with advice and recommendations!

The breakfast was wonderful and the location was beyond perfect for spending a few days in Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. The room wasn’t a room but more like a fully furnished home. We get like we had our own personal cabin and it was stocked Very well for all of our needs. My children loved it, we will be taking dad/my husband back with us next time as we just met Grandma and cousins this time. The outdoor covered sitting area and fireplace was cozy and my children loved the chess set up. We had beautiful views from our room, all around. rich and Kim were wonderful hosts in every way! A+, we will be back!

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast every morning was delicious. The hummingbirds and butterflies were everywhere! The owners are very welcoming and attentive.

Lake Lure is car dependant and you can't really see the lake unless you are in a boat. There is a beach area for swimming.

We stayed in a pet-friendly room. Plenty of space for our dog to be with us and easy access to the outside. The room was clean, cozy, and well enough appointed to make you feel pampered. Comfortably bed. Clean, recently refreshed bathroom. They have several gathering places outside including a nice outdoor fireplace with lots of seating - hot logs on a cool night. Breakfast was certainly first class - Rich is a great chef. Kim is an informed host with the skinny on activities, restaurants, and what all. The lodge is on a quiet road close to everything - an easy walk to the beach and park area of Lake Lure. Top your day off with a home-baked cookie made fresh everyday.

Would have loved coffee in my room. But I adjusted.

We loved the location, the hummingbirds on arrival, Rich's cookies, our room. But best of all was the lovely welcoming chats over the most delicious breakfasts! Kim helped us with ideas of what to do each day while Rich cooked up a wonderful breakfast all with local ingredients. A perfect place to explore lake lure and the mountains from.

Our goal was to hike Chimney Rock Park, and Grafton Lodge was a very convenient location for us. The Lodge has a nice covered outdoor sitting area. The room had two comfortable chairs with footrests and a hummingbird feeder at the window, which we enjoyed. Room was well appointed with interesting items.

The bed was too soft for me. If we had been staying for a week, I would have asked if we could be moved to a room with a firmer mattress. But my back did OK for two nights, and my wife didn't mind the soft mattress.

The Grafton Lodge was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The hosts, Kimberley and Rich, were very helpful and responsive and took pride in the quality of their property. Breakfast each morning was delicious. The location was centrally located located and there was only a short walk to the town beach on the lake. Overall, our three night stay there was a very good value and we plan on returning!
