I have always liked the Ashland Hills. It used to be such a great place to stay with the pool, proximity to Ashland, free parking, etc. The rooms are large with comfortable beds. The breakfast was a welcome addition. The breakfast sandwich was very good.

It seems that either the economy and/or Covid have taken their toll on the hotel. To get to the upstairs rooms with bags, you have to walk or drive clear to the other side of the hotel to get an elevator. The ice machine is way on the other side of the hotel from the rooms and down the hall from the front desk. Not very convenient, either one. There was only one person at the front desk for all business. The hotel seems a bit run down over the years-needs some upgrading/redecorating. It's such a great place. I hope they are able to make improvements.

loved the pool enjoyed eating around the pool we were allowed a room near the pool which was excellent food was good hiked around, loved roses and green grass (hard to come by in Ashland) surprised that you did not mention water awareness in the rooms would appreciate special rates for locals because I only live 3 miles away but paid regular rate it would encourage locals to take a staycation more readily

as mentioned above staycation rates would be excellent I might have scheduled another couple with my granddaughter if the rates were reasonable thanks for asking I wrote this last year too

Love the foliage, magestic Oaks, well kept grounds, spacious rooms, clean bathrooms, comfy beds, & real coffee pots in the rooms. Breakfast is above average with comfortably large eating & mingling areas. The art, lamps, seating & decor in common areas are whimsical & inviting. Oh & pets are welcomed..

While rooms are always kept very clean, they could use new flooring & doors are a bit worn.

We checked in really late and only stayed overnight, unfortunately, but the overnight staff made check-in easy & fast. The room was huge and the mid-century decor of the place is gorgeous. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice having a little patio just outside our room. The room was quiet and the shower pressure was great. It was still a drive, but the location is fairly close to downtown and it was nice being so close to the highway since we arrived late after a long drive. The price is very reasonable for what you get!

We were only here for a short while and the property met our expectations. The continental breakfast was a bit scarce, I would've loved to see more fruit as that is pretty much all that meets my dietary needs at a continental breakfast, but it was still nice that this is something offered to the guests.

The location is very good, just off Highway 5 and close to Ashland for any theatre activities. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable and we asked for ground floor and got it without an issue. I thought the bed and linens were superb. Lots of clean towels and also towels at the pool. The breakfast was very nice and of course there is a coffee maker in the room.

The hot tub is hot but has an odor like dirty socks. It may be that the grout needs to be scrubbed. The water itself is treated to the point where one notices the bleach smell.

We stay here a couple times a year on trips between WA and CA. We love the midcentury style, the dog friendliness, and the FOOD and DRINK! We eat dinner here in each trip. wouldn’t miss it. Like the sister restaurant Lark at the Ashland Springs Hotel, we are never ever disappointed with the food.

This is the first trip that I’ve had a hostile experience at checkin. after hours in the car, the last thing you want it to be talked down too, corrected (three times!!), and generally made to feel very demeaned. I am a loyal guest, and this person who checked me in was loud and very sharp, in front of a fellow staff member and a fellow guest standing right next to us! This didn’t seem like the first rodeo for this employee’s condescension. I don’t suspect I will see he/she/them on our next visit. but if I do, I’m sure they will have been counseled in the ways of kindness and service.

The facility and grounds are lovely as well as being large enough to provide a nice place for a walk after a long day in the car. We had a delicious/good value meal at Luna, the onsite restaurant. The access to I-5 is so easy and there are gas stations just across the street. Parking was plentiful and easy. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck off our room. The breakfast buffet included all the usual offerings and was very satisfactory. We will return to Ashland Hills again next year on our travels to and from California.

The breakfast was delicious and a great value! The decor is awesome and makes the whole thing feel special. Great views, cool tennis court! Clean rooms! Fun experience!

The front desk person was pretty annoying and was just like snappy and unpleasant. The food is good at the cafe but they ran out of apples and didn’t tell me so just gave me a bowl of lettuce for a salad.

I have stayed here at least three times . Each time the staff has been wonderful.. Some of the rooms need updating, but they are clean and the place has such charm. I have had room service once during covid from Luna and it was great. I am not a early riser and have only had the breadfast once which I think needs improvement.

see above. I was scheduled to come in the summer with my kids and grandchildren but the large fires started the night before we were to arrive. the highway was closed and of we were forced to cancel.

Felt charging 25.00 per night plus tax for your dog to stay was a bit much
