The home is outside of town in the countryside. If you follow the directions that the hosts text you, it is not difficult to find. Once there, it is magical. The grounds are very extensive with walking paths around the small lake and through the woods. Yes, there are beautiful woods (forests) to explore. A beautiful arched bridge across the lake. It is like a Monet painting. The room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the grounds. The home is simply stunning with enormous ceilings, elegant double sided staircase and an enchanting solarium. The hosts are gracious and welcoming. We live far away or we would be back several times a year.

After exiting the freeway, we followed the directions which put us on a remote gravel road. As we rounded the last corner, the villa came into view and we were awestruck! The building is beautiful and the surrounding area is majestic. We walked around the lake in the evening and again the next morning. We hiked through the nearby forest, picking blackberries along the way. So peaceful. The owners and staff were very welcoming and spent time answering our questions about the villa and surroundings.

We arrived late and may have missed instructions on which rooms, outdoor areas, entries / exits were off limits. A bit more clarity on that would be helpful (maybe a note with a map left in the room?).

We loved the setting - the lake, the woods, and the wildflowers - as well as the building itself. Our host was friendly and welcoming - and very interesting to talk to. My wife enjoyed playing piano in the music room. We saw a couple of deer on the property, too.

For us, there was no downside. It was a 5 mile drive to town, and very much like staying in someone's home, but both were fine for us - guests will need to be aware of these things, though.

The grounds and home were stunning and the hosts were helpful and kind. This provided a reasonably priced opportunity for our overnight stay.

There was no cell service at this property and it would have been helpful to know this before booking. The sign on the back of the door asked guests to limit their showers due to limited water availability from their well. Also, it was not spelled out in the description that the rooms were in the owner’s private residence. The write up I saw lead me to believe it was a small lodge running as a hotel. If all of this information we’re given ahead of time we would have felt more comfortable.

I loved everything about this charming place. The owners are absolutely delightful people and very accommodating. Beauty and character inspired me on every wall inside every hall, and the gardens and the mosaics are truly inspirational.

There was not a thing I didn't not like about this place. Even the groundskeeper was a wonderful person and even mowed the lawn giving us extra pathways to explore the adult sized swing set and teeter totter!

It’s a magical place I felt like I was in Tuscany. The gardens were in full bloom with beautiful colors. My room was very elegant and comfortable and the terraces were peaceful places to sit and read or just relax. The living room was huge with many cozy places to chill. The pond and bridge with water lilies look like a Monet painting. You must walk through the trails in the woods, it’s so serene.

It’s beautiful and unique, restful home with blackberry bushes surrounding a lovely large pond with a Monet style bridge and many water lilies. It was a perfect stop along the way on a road trip. I wish I could have stayed longer.

I liked it all, including morning coffee. But bring your breakfast with you for the morning.

A wonderful place and wonderful hosts. The room/bedroom was neat and comfortable and Steve and Vera were very accommodating to our late arrival, as we were in Eugene for our daughters' college graduation. They also gave us a great tour of their wonderful house and garden the next day. Definitely hope to come back for another visit.

The lakeside location and beautiful courtyard allowed to relax after a long day. The room was clean and bedding was fresh. The owners went above and beyond!

If you have AT&T, the service is nonexistent. This is absolutely not a negative on the hosts. Simply an FYI for AT&T customers :) Loved the place!

Steve and Vera were just wonderful we came in on bicycles and there was some smoke in the air and they gave us a ride back to our car about 20 miles could’ve been better people, will go back again
