Beautiful setting, loved our sweet river front cabin #42. The jaccuzi tub for two was perfect. Plenty of towels, robes for each of us, didn't need to ask for anything. The double shower head was real nice. Ample charging on night stands and nice touch for step stool for high standing bed. Private porch with Adirondack chairs, table, and citronella pail with matches was super nice, overlooking stream. Staff were friendly and professional. Wonderful happy hour selection of complimentary appetizers. Nice selection of wine for purchase. Nice touch on complimentary smores to enjoy by the fire pit and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and cold milk (YUM). Breakfast was bountiful and a nice selection of items for all ages. Parking was easy. Luggage cart was nice to have to transport luggage. Layout of property is nicely done and so peaceful. Nice Adirondack chairs and tables, picnic tables, waterfall pond. Very well lit at night. Nice walk along property and the rogue river, OH my goodness, just stunning 😍. I want to come back! I see this as a nice place for a reunion, anniversary, honeymoon, anything. Just a really nice place! July 2023.

Smashed a few bugs in cabin, but we are in a forest area. We would have preferred a less firm bed and adjustable blind over roofline window (quite shocking at 5:30 am). Could have used a better dusting and cob webs removed, prior to arrival (kind've felt that our cabin #42) hadn't been rented out for a while). Couch was uncomfortable but leather armchair was nice. Noise to know about: The train running (Wed/Thur 1 night) ran late night and super early morning was a surprise, not sure how often it runs as our stay was one night A few times I could hear traffic on the nearby road, while on porch.

Breakfast was thorough including biscuits and gravy, granola, cheerios, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon and potatoes. No “breakfast to order”. Rogue roasters coffee and amazing selection of tea, available all the time. Great comfortable public space in the lodge that is very reminiscent of the 1930’s. S’mores are available in the evenings in single servings that you can then make over the fire pit. Evening appetizers are served with an open (pay) bar with beer and wine. Apps include something warm, hummus, vegetables, crackers, fruit. Large outdoor deck with lovely views over the yard (no river views). Property is lovely and well cared for with seating around the area. We had room 3 and 5. 5 is accessed from outside on the second story, three from the inside. Rooms are super comfortable, very clean, rogue roaster coffee for the keurig, water bottles. It would be so nice to have half and half for the room coffee (but it is available downstairs). Air con worked great. Staff was super friendly.

The noise from the highway. The grounds are pretty set off from the road but the noise is evident. Ear plugs might help. No fridge in the room. Room five gets light very early, no way to shut out the light (blinds aren’t room darkening). There’s a light in room five for the step up which is motion triggered which is great for safety but a bit disconcerting at night. May want a mask.

It was like a step back into the past. The lodge is almost 100 years old, the grounds were like a park, they had different events throughout the day like cookies at 6, smores at 7 at the outdoor fire, wine and appetizers… They carried a selection of tea that I immediately looked up online to purchase. The cabins were so cozy and homey and comfortable. It felt like a one night vacation instead of work. The employees - every single one - were friendly and engaging. I really enjoyed the stay.

Every location has room for improvement but seriously, there was nothing that stood out in my mind as ‘oh this is a problem’.

Cute decorated rooms, great outdoor space with lots of seating, a pond area and a fire pit. There were homemade cookies and we had a smores package roasted on the fire pit. The lobby is really nicely decorated and has comfortable seating and even a poker/game table.

The breakfast was unfortunately only standard, even if it stood out in this price range, because it used at least partly times ceramic tableware, but unfortunately not everything.

This lodge is as delightful as it looks in the photos. The lobby is big and comfortable for lounging with a great historic vibe with wood beam ceilings and log cabin walls and fun decor. The large lawn area is shaded by tall trees. The deck where we had breakfast looks over the lawn, and it's all pretty great. There are several cabins, but we stayed in one of the (six?) rooms upstairs in the main lodge. I think we got the most spacious room with a comfy couch and table. The bathroom was nice - better than you would expect. We were able to walk down the hill to the river in a short walk, maybe a few hundred yards, and then we could see the larger view of the nearby hills.

Although we had the most spacious room, it faced the road. The road wasn't too busy, but you'd definitely hear the occasional trio of motorcycles roar by. Not a real problem, just fyi you are not deep in the forest.

Everything! I’ve traveled a lot during my life, and this is one of the most charming, welcoming and luxurious resorts I have ever visited. The Inn offers cabins with comfortable bedding, fireplaces, and wraparound porches with lovely views among the trees. There is river access on the property. The staff is efficient, friendly and accommodating. Guests are very well fed, and the coffee never runs out.

What’s not to love about it?

Very close to city services (Grants Pass) but far enough out of town on relatively quiet old highway (Old 99), located near bank of Rogue River. Hundred year old fishing lodge kept up very well, rooms very comfortable. Setting is serene and very relaxing. This place is a gem.

Nothing, really. We were there during a quiet period, seemed like not too many guests around...we're okay with that!

We liked everything. But most especially we loved the staff and the hospitality they offered us. This is a lovely, charming place in a gorgeous setting. (Oh, and we got to stay in the lodge in the Walt Disney room -- it doesn't get better than that.)

The bathtub is pretty small, not one to be relaxed in. Also, we were confused by the light switches and which ones turned what on or off.

Breakfast was very good, and the dining room was quaint and cozy. The afternoon wine options from local places is a very nice added touch. The staff was great and welcoming. Rooms are rustic, well decorated and make you feel like you've stepped back in time (in a good way).

The TV would continually disconnect for about 1 minute to update about every 10 minutes or so. That's exactly what you don't want to have happen during close NFL playoff games.

The staff was helpful. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfast in the morning was decent, the afternoon hors'd'oeuvres were great, as were the cookies in the evening. The Queen cabin room is nicely appointed, and the balcony is a nice addition.

The woman working the front desk was nice but I was reminded of the scene in Zootopia with the sloths at the DMV. I've never seen anyone move so slowly. OMG. The property is not right on the river as you might think. The room wasn't as clean as I would've liked, and the mattress in the pullout couch really sucks. Definitely needs to be replaced.
