After a long drive, being greeted by extremely nice employees, and then having some hot salmon chowder (courtesy of this facility) was a great way to start our 2 night stay. The room could have been a little cleaner ( crumbs under stove/fridge that were very visible)and outer sides of appliances wiped down better.. and crumbs in the silverware drawer are examples. But everything else looked clean, the beds were made up nicely and there were even robes available. This was a non Smoking room and I was hoping also a no pet room (since there was a dog next door) but I didn’t notice any evidence of pets having been in this room. The breakfast that is also included in your stay is very good ... scrambled eggs,(toppings)sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes... then yogurts, hard boiled eggs.. muffins, pastries and so on and so on. A very nice way to start your day.. good breakfast..... we would definitely come here again.

More detail to cleaning ... and a more comfortable small couch would be nice

WE were given a ground floor room, a plus at our age. The view was spectacular, just as it was shown in the website. The room was elegant, spacious, loved the small patio to watch the ocean from. Good shower arrangements, nice toiletries. Very comfortable bed and , although we did not use it, we did like the fact there was an enclosed fireplace in the room. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices, and we particularly liked the "happy hour" at 5, with clam chowder and cookies! Plenty of parking and friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location.

There are never enough hangers in the closet, and this resort was not alone. Could have used a few more. Also, I would have liked to have seen towel bars, instead of hooks on the shelving unit holding the linens. Hooks on the wall would have been useful near the entrance, for jackets, etc. We spoke to the management about it, and they said they had recently acquired the property and were making additions and renovation to it. Beware of the sprinkling system in the dunes, it comes on and if the wind is right will hit the seating area! Of course, this is only if you are on the ground floor! We just loved our time there.

On arriving the staff gave us sparkling water and cup cakes to honor our anniversary. Very nice

Up on leaving the morning of June 8th, we checked out and asked for a bag to get some ice for our cooler. The young lady was very rude and just threw the bag at us. Youmight want to see who was on that day and have a chat about customer service. NOT a good lasting impression and one where we dought we will be back The room needs a table to play cards or rest a lap top. Plenty of room to do do. Our last customer interaction was VERY negative and hurt my wife's feelings. NOT a good thing to do.. I heard about it for two hours driving home.

The room was fabulous…along with the view. How could you go wrong with the beautiful decor…including the fireplace, soaking tub, waterfall shower?

Parts of the hotel are under construction (not disclosed). Parking is not only tight, it is at a huge premium. Placement of buildings creates a “screaming banshee” effect when the wind is ripping through. We found it quaint, because we like stormy weather, but several other guests found it unnerving. Pool and spa was unavailable for use. Do not unload baggage before checking in, in case your room isn’t in the main part of the hotel.

chowder, cookies. breakfast. pool, hot tub, balcony view, balcony privacy, 2 bathrooms, salt water taffy, bottled water, nice staff, gave us free toothbrush, parking was good, comfy bed, kitchen well supplied.

cleanliness was the biggest negative. Coffee cup, though wrapped in saran wrap, was very dirty. Front of appliances had dirty looking streaks on them. TV in bedroom had lots of dust visible in sunlight. Pool noise loud. Coffee machine did not work. Coffee in lobby not so tasty. Called mai desk once but no one answered and there was no way to leave a message.

Checking in was smooth and quick. We found room easily. We had an ADA room for parent, elevator and ramp @ bldg. 2 was GREAT. Room was beyond gorgeous. Loved watching the sunset from our balcony. Ocean/beach is steps away. Too tired from driving to enjoy on arrival. Morning walk was great. Bed was comfortable, enjoyed the fireplace and bottled water. Breakfast had a good selection. Waffles without the mess was Decadent. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Room had space for a smallish table in side by ocean view window. A small table would be a treat for evening cards and ocean watching. The morning check out was smooth, but the ladies(2) at the desk were frowning and unapproachable. Complete opposite of the check in gentleman. Anyhow, i was nice and pleasant. Even smiled and thanked them. Still nothing but frowns. Too early for frowns. I work customer service, even i can fake a sincere smile for 3 minutes. We would still come back and recommend to others, but wanted you to know.

The beds were very comfortable. The room was roomy and the view was spectacular! Loved the smoked salmon chowder and cookies break at five. Reused the kitchen facilities for our other meals.

The kitchen needs more in the way of baking pans. We couldn't find a baking pan that we could use as a casserole dish. I don't know how anyone uses the oven without these types of pans. Also a new set of silverware would help. To claim to have a fully, ready to use kitchen is not an accurate description and required that the two of us were having to use the dishwasher to have some clean dishes for the next meal which used a lot of water and dishwasher soap.

The cleanliness and view

My first night stay was amazing Last night was horrible I had to call the office three times for the fellow to keep Saying he’ll see what he can do. The noise was ridiculous upstairs banging for a good 4 hours I called around 11 finally. I feel like it made it worse upstairs and when I asked did he contact them he said yes I mentioned it for worse. There was no follow up They woke my 7 month old daughter and starting again at 6 am until check out. Very disappointed that’s what made my last night very uncomfortable having to travel far after check out

The breakfast was great! lots off options to choose from. And the view was excellent of the beach luv it! we can here the ocean and it was so relaxing! And the beds were so comfortable and the pillows gave you a good night sleep. The beds were better than the one I have at home!

I was on 2nd floor and the only thing I can complain about was the people above us! they were very loud! at first I thought maybe they were doing a fixer upper on that room! but no it was loud at 1pm at night too. But not all night long.

We were in the new building, which is adjacent to the main building which contains the lobby. This building appears to be quite new, and also sits directly on the beach. We asked for a top floor, which made for a wonderful view and overlook of the beach from the balcony. This room had not only a huge glass shower with overhead rain showerhead, but also a huge separate soaker tub that was the reason I booked this room for my wife (we don’t have a tub at home). The new building does have an elevator, which is convenient when you’re checking in and checking out with luggage. Otherwise, and for some exercise, it’s a quick trip down the stairs and out to the beach. We walked up the beach, which was very easy in both directions. The Oregon beaches are very nice and this was an excellent place to stay!!!

We really don’t have any criticism of the property, facilities, or staff. If there was any suggestion to make, it would be to maybe move the breakfast to an actual hot breakfast instead of just a grab and go of pre-packaged items.
