Exceptional everything, Steve was fountain of knowledge and Teresa charming and also wonderful. The history of the place and ambiance and attention to details are amazing! Second time I have stayed here, I also asked for any ghosts of Gettysburg (the house was a field hospital to 250 Union soldiers) and got my wish granted. At 5:44am I got a three-rap knock at my door. I thought, deep asleep, that it was proprietor or fellow guest. But I heard no creaking on the original wooden floors and also quickly opened the door. Of course no one was there. It was awesome and I actually just realized what it truly was and easily went back to sleep! Breakfasts were delicious! Stellar and amazing place to stay!

I had the absolute privilege of staying at this fantastic bed and breakfast, and I must say, it was a delightful experience that exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed with warm smiles and a charming, cozy ambiance that instantly made me feel at home. The property is beautifully decorated, combining old-world charm with modern comforts, creating a unique atmosphere that is both welcoming and relaxing. The room I stayed in was immaculately clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Attention to detail was evident, with high-quality linens, plush towels, and well-stocked tea and coffee station. Breakfast each morning was a culinary treat. From fluffy pancakes to deliciously cooked eggs and fresh fruits, the breakfast was simply out of this world. But what truly sets this bed and breakfast apart is the warm and hospitable hosts. They went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable, offering tips for local attractions and telling the history of the property. The location is also fantastic, providing easy access to local attractions while offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Overall, this bed and breakfast offers a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and delicious food. I would highly recommend this fantastic B&B to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay.
I would not change a thing. Everything met and exceeded my expectations.

What a gem of a B&B, full of historical charm and coziness! Steve and Teresa are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the history of the property and Gettysburg. Upon arrival, Steve offered a very interesting historical background of the property and its role during the battle. Teresa’s breakfasts are delicious! I needed a quiet and relaxing getaway and the location was perfect. Far enough away for peace and quiet, yet close to the town center, the sites, and restaurants. I can’t say enough about this beautiful B&B, highly recommend.

Our stay was both comfortable and convenient. It was close enough to all of the historical sites we planned to visit, but far enough away from the crowd and confusion. Thank you to our host couple, Steve and Teresa. Teresa's breakfasts were wonderful and so planned out. She didn't miss a detail, from table settings to food presentation. Everything was delicious. It's easy to see that she loves and enjoys what she does. And Steve was very knowledgeable with historical facts and the history of their beautiful home. Such a pleasant couple. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this wonderful B & B.

Breakfast was incredible. Steve and Teresa are very well versed in the history of Gettysburg and the Lightner Farmhouse. As well as very knowledgeable and helpful with things to do and places to see. The LightnerFarmhouse is restored beautifully, and has plenty of history. The rooms are comfortable, decorated with period pieces and have bathrooms. Also Plenty of parking. Quick and easy drive to downtown Gettysburg and attractions.

The breakfast was exceptional, well balanced and beautifully presented as well as delicious! The Farmhouse was set on a well manicured lawn and surroundings. We enjoyed the unique decor which was part historic part the owners personal collections. Our host and hostess were very hospitable, and we enjoyed the discussions related to the history of the house and the area.
The bathroom was adequate, but the sink and the area around it were underwhelming. The seating options in the bedroom were not very functional, and certainly not comfortable for sitting.

Everything. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. Steve really knows his civil war history and gave us great recommendations for places to eat. The breakfasts fixed by Theresa were phenomenal!! It was like I emailed her my favorite breakfast foods and she fixed them. Would definitely come back again. It was close enough to the national park, yet far enough away to be peaceful. We stayed in the General Greenlief Stevens room. The bed was comfortable and the room was perfect.
We loved it all!! There was nothing not to like. It was perfect.

The building just looked like a film set on arrival on a sunny evening The owner is a keen historian more than happy to converse about the history of the building & the soldier whose name graces your room. We spent a fascinating 45 minutes with him. Never ever had such a welcome anywhere The room was great. Very atmospheric with antique pictures. Fresh home cooked house breakfast was great in a friendly dining room. Finally an alternative to a hotel waffle machine! Easy to find on the road out from Gettysberg though keep your eyes open for the sign at night.

Historic property with perfect access to museums, the battlefield and downtown shops and restaurants. The owners were lovely people and Steve was very knowledgeable about the surrounding history. Teresa served breakfast that was both delicious and very filling.
The shower in our room was a bit small and I kept hitting my legs and feet on the metal bed frame. The people who stayed in the room above us were very noisy late at night. The wooden floors were squeaky but then again, it is a 150+ year old farmhouse.

Staying in a historic home that had been used as a hospital during the battle. Host Steve greeted us with a welcome talk on the history of the home and the soldier that our room had been named for. He was very knowledgeable about touring the area. Breakfast was delicious and prepared by Steve and Theresa. Tea and coffee were always available in the dining room.. Our room had a comfy rocking chair and books to browse through. Enjoyed chatting with our fellow travelers and Steve at breakfast.I am
