I stay here every time that I travel to State College after staying at other locations for years. I am very happy with this property, the amenities, and you will not find a better stay for the price. The staff has always been great. The rooms are consistent. One of the best restaurants in the area is located on property.

It can get a bit noisy when wedding Parties are booked in the Hotel. Parking can be a bit cramped when restaurant goers arrive for Dinner. Like I said, one of the best food experiences in state college.

Blair was at the front counter. He's very cool. Informative and knowledgeable about his job. He took great care of my wife and I. First interactions to us are everything in determining if we stay or go. We extended a day. It's very quiet there. I rested there. I truly had no major issues at all. Just some cosmetic concerns. Which had no affect on my stay.

It Definitely could use an update. From the ceilings in some of the rooms. But more than anything, vending machines headed toward the in house restaurant. If you're taller than 6 ft you will be ducking in some hallways/stairways. One stairwell has an overwhelming smell of paint by the front desk.

Room was lovely; - much more than I needed (suite for solo traveler!). It was generally clean, except for some soap scum on the soap dish in the bathroom off the master bedroom (there were 2 bathrooms). The restaurant, as always, was excellent!

Some soap scum in the bathroom soap dish. I could hear every step the man in the room above me took; the first time I heard it, I thought that he was in my room! Wifi quit working on the final night of my stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Toftrees. A beautiful country setting and a great outdoor pool. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel restaurant, Field Burger and Tap was excellent for the dinner we had there.

During our 2 night stay no cleaning service came to our room to replenish supplies, (soap, toilet paper, empty garbage). Walls were extremely not soundproof. For our second night we were kept awake most of the night by the loud people in the room next to us with their loud TV, music, and constant coughing.

Very friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Very comfortable bed! The room was just the right size for two. You can set the room temperature and get the temperature you set. We like a cool room to sleep and most places have presets that cannot be changed. Plenty of pillows and an extra blanket without having to ask. The balcony was an extra perk! The Tap Room on the premises was very convenient and we were able to stay in our room until our table was ready. The food and service we received were exceptional even though the place was packed, the food was served hot and the drinks never ran dry. And everything was served with a warm and welcoming smile.

Great price. staff was very friendly and switched my room with an adjoining door to a room without one and was very courteous about that.

Facilities were a bit dated, though clean. There was no elevator, and halls had built in steps between the different levels that if you didn't anticipate you could have tripped. Handles would make it safer. It used to be a very upscale and posh destination in the 70's and 80s. Still is nice though dated.

The pool is incredible and the towels are unlimited. The staff is wonderful--friendly and accommodating. The on-site restaurant has some great dishes and the area has a surprising amount of great foodie spots! This hotel also always takes notes (like no feather bedding) very seriously.

The property, which is already due for a huge renovation starting next year, has a few dated aspects in the rooms but it had zero impact on our amazing stay!

Sort of tucked away, it was a golf resort but not exclusive to the golfers. Also it was inexpensive.

The work desk had the drawer facing the wall??? Also, I know the look of hiding the fridge in the dresser/tv stand is sleek and hotelly, but I found out it existed after it turned on and I kept the dresser door open so I would remember my sandwiches in the morning.

Everything was very clean and fresh. The value was great. Reasonable room rate for exceptional accommodations. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast needs opened earlier. We were there for a golf tournament with 0800 shotgun start so 0700 opening for breakfast was too late. However, the front desk staff was super friendly and delivered a microwave to our room the night before so we could make our own early breakfast. He went above and beyond. Thank you!

Friendly staff, good price and location. Gave us a nice and quiet ground floor room which our 15 year old dog appreciated as well.

Room smelled very musty, felt and looked dated. First time we went to use the toilet there was fecal matter still on the lid and seat. Pillows were flat and really uncomfortable.
