That we were on the 3rd floor.

Door card didn't work, had to WALK up and down the stairs again after traveling for 5 hours after initially climbing the stairs. Called front desk to let them know keycard defunctional. We waited additional 40 minutes trying to get door open. They suggested to move us to the first floor, refused due to lugging the luggage back down those stairs, finally moved us across the hall.

The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were kind and skilled. The hotel decor was pleasant, calming, and clean. We needed extra housekeeping and the staff responded with understanding and quickness. The hotel location was convenient for last minute items needed for an event.

I would add an elevator. My 90yr father-in-law was given a second story room, which he handled okay. Also, we booked two rooms, and they were far apart. Assigning rooms for a double booking close together would have been easier for us. Also, rates were pretty high, but there was a lot going on in town. Supply/Demand.

Good location

Price seemed high for this hotel. And the added fees that weren’t disclosed at booking put a damper on my trip. I also had to request a new room because the original room they sent us to was smaller than many walk in closets, however when I voiced my displeasure they moved me without argument. I wonder if they try to fill that room (it’s under a stairwell) and hope the occupants don’t complain so they can fill it…

The hotel is very comfortable and clean. It was decorated nicely for the holidays and the rooms and common areas were spotless. Loved that the TV had built-in Chromecast so we could easily stream whatever we wanted to watch to the TV. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Newport (10-minute drive) or other East Bay towns (20 minutes to Bristol).

Our only complaint was that we were placed on a first-floor room near an additional entrance/exit door. The door slammed loudly and shook our room every time it shut. Would highly recommend having the hotel fix this to close softly.

No elevator sucked, having to walk two flights every day if you’re on third floor gets annoying especially after enjoying way too much of the delicious local food, room and facilities were great.

Wrote in the special comments it was mine and my wife’s honeymoon and the staff didn’t apparently read that until a day after we checked in. On the third floor there are lights under the roof that shine into your room the ENTIRE time and it looked like day time regardless of the shades they put in the window. If they ask if you mind being on third floor say YES AND DO NOT TAKE NO FOR ANSWER

It’s a great location with easy access to new port without new port prices. It’s definitely in the burbs though so you’d need a car to get around. The gym facility was nice, the room was comfortable. Overall a decent stay and would recommend to people trying to find a slightly cheaper lodging option around Newport.

Very nice and comfy rooms!

They need to fix the shower valve and or water heater, had a warm, NOT hot shower in room 256. Came out of the shower cold.... that is literally almost my only complaint. The other is the restaurant charged a ridiculous amount of money for a small portion of food. It was restuarant week and they were running low on food. They should have not offered the steak. We were charged $34 for three little pieces of steak. x 2 people. I would have rather had the option to order something else.

The room and entire property were very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was convenient with close by restaurants and supermarket.

The heating system fan was very loud and it interrupted our sleep. The pillows were flat and did not offer enough neck support. The comforter was very warm and there was no lighter blanket alternative in the closet.

Newly renovated. Close to Newport. Nice lobby with a bar restaurant. The room was large and nicely furnished. Beds comfortable. The bathroom is very nice with a strong shower. Fluffy thick towels. Staff friendly and housekeeping cleaned well. Lots of parking. Good value.

FYI. No elevator. Three levels. If you can't do stairs, request the first floor. The walls are a bit thin. I could hear my neighbors TV and could hear talking while in the bathroom.

The hotel is clean, very well maintained and located near the shopping center, fuel station and restaurants. The room is also very clean and very well equipped, esp. with nice Nespresso coffee machine!

A consideration for those who need walking assistance/disabilities, since the hotel does not have elevator, though it is only two floors. For us it was not a problem.
