The location was perfect. There was a bus stop a block from the property, so getting to City Center was quick and easy. The bathroom was spacious, and the bed was comfy. The welcoming gift of water, wine, and chocolate was very hospitable. They provided just about everything you needed to make the place feel like home. The staff were also very responsive.

The bedroom was more of an "enclave" within the apartment, so there were no windows in the "bedroom ". With the curtains closed, it got a little stuffy in the room. We also rented a unit with a kitchen so that we could prepare meals, but we were a little surprised that there were no steak knives. The unit was beautiful, but we traveled with our two year old, so the sharp corners of the rectangular table gave us nightmares daily. And it was a fight getting him not to play with the exposed washing machine. None of this is the fault of the property. Again, it looked great, and having in-unit laundry is very helpful. But I think the property is best suited for adults or people with older children.

Perfect location when visiting Charleston. Right outside the busy downtown and yet still within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The Iris is a real hidden gem. Very cozy apartment with everything you need and more. The room is soundproof so you can't hear the outside noise or someone next door when relaxing inside. And the welcome gift is just the cherry on top. The parking is a little pricey (everything in Charleston is a bit expensive to be honest) but I've seen hotels downtown charging +$30 just for few hours, so $25/day is not that bad after all. Ah, and the staff are just awesome. The let us check in early because we arrived in town around noon and it was too hot outside.

The facilities in my unit were great, ideal for a longer stay where you can get your own food and don't need to worry about eating out every night. You can also pack more lightly if you make use of the washer-dryer: pods were provided, as well as dishwasher tablets. As well as an induction stove (2 rings) there's a microwave. Size of the place was just perfect for one or two. I had a zoom meeting while there and it worked perfectly on wifi.

Really *really* minor things, I think thicker curtains would be appreciated, when it's dark and folks can walk right past the window, it feels like you could be seen (although I can't verify that's true!). I loved the location, but it is a slightly longer walk in to town: but there are bikes for hire which is also super convenient if a 20min walk is a bit too much for you.

We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the rooms, from the welcome goodie bag to the reusable water bottles to the garbage disposal, we really felt at home and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly and easy to reach. We travelled with a pet and found the space to be very pet friendly - it was nice to have more space in this apartment style setup versus a hotel where their likely would have been more noise that my dog could react to. The location was also great, all of the Ubers we called were less than 15 minutes to our destination, and we were walking distance to the main strip on King Street as well as some cute coffee / breakfast spots like Island Provisions and The Daily. The Iris is definitely a hidden gem!

Our stay really was great. I would just note that The Iris does feel more like apartment units, and although the rooms are super cozy and beautifully designed, there is no main lobby / hotel feel. We had dinner at The Emeline and checked out the rooftop at The Ryder Hotel to get our fill of the hotel ambiance, which are all super close to The Iris.

This is a fantastic set of apartments, complete with a secure gate, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use the car park due to maintenance work. However, the Iris team suggested parking just a five-minute walk away, and the location is so walkable that we didn’t need to use the car at all. The apartment itself was excellent, with many thoughtful details that are often missing in other rentals—this was not the case here. It featured great amenities (washer/dryer, hair dryer, makeup towels, water bottles, washing up liquid, detergent, shampoo/conditioner, wine, chocolate, coffee) and a well-designed layout. There was also nice outdoor seating where we enjoyed a coffee one morning, and the area has wonderful independent restaurants, coffee shops, and more.

The only small detail that could be improved was that the sofa wasn't the type you could crash on. It was quite uncomfortable, so we took to the bed to watch TV instead. But that’s such a minor issue!

Loved this apartment. It was perfect for my family of three. VERY clean and comfortable. The location was great for walking to King Street activities and local spots. Everything we needed was provided and the staff was very responsive. We received a complimentary gift at check-in which we enjoyed during our stay and loved the high-end amenities provided.

Our unit was along the main road so it was a little noisy. Would have preferred to stay at the back end. We were glad they offered onsite parking, but it was a little intimidating at first to use the car lift.

We had a wonderful stay at the Iris and am so glad we booked - we loved it! The rooms are beautiful, spacious and with literally everything you could need for a few days in Charleston. The staff were easy to contact and were so helpful with anything we needed. Can't recommend The Iris enough - we'll be back again. Beautiful Rooms, Amazing Staff - Highly Recommended!

The only, and I mean only, minus is that the hotel is about a 30 minute walk to the French Quarter but truth be told, it's a nice and safe walk so no real problem - probably a plus in retrospect after a day of eating

Really good value… feels like a 5 star hotel. Beautifully furnished with high quality bedding and products. Location is not far from central downtown and there’s good eating options close by.

For a family of 4 or even 3 you may find the space a bit cramped. There’s no good spot to open your bags and once the sleeper couch is opened, there’s very little space to move around. Parking in the vehicle carousel is not difficult but is another thing to plan, which you already have enough of traveling with the family!

LOVED how cozy the decor was and how perfect it was for the two of us. Just enough room and stocked with everything we needed for a long weekend trip. We also LOVED how secure it was. It has numerous cameras and locked gates.

Parking was an issue. My vehicle was slightly too large for the carousel. We had to park in a public parking garage which was not very close. We got lots of walking in.

The room was spotless, beds comfortable, and everything was very neat and modern. Wine and chocolate on arrival were a nice touch. Communication was clear from the staff via email and text. The place was very quiet at night while still being close enough to the action that it was only a short bus ride, drive, or longer walk to get to key attractions in Charleston. Everything was great except for the parking situation.

The parking carousel was a pain. The payment site was down the first day, necessitating a call to provide payment info. Then we arrived in the pouring rain and the touch screen wasn't working on the carousel and the nice folks in front of us had to call to get it resolved so we could all park. There was also a snafu with the parking reservation on our third day that needed to be corrected.
