The hotel met my expectations (beds were clean and comfortable) for a budget-friendly hotel near Mount Rushmore. The best thing about the hotel was Julie, the Front Desk attendant, who was very pleasant, patient, and extremely helpful in the midst of a very busy check-in period late in the day. We were delighted to be able to see the lit-up Mount Rushmore from our balcony in the evening. This hotel does not serve breakfast, so we grabbed a great cup of coffee and a delicious peach smoothie from Grapes & Grinds.

We did not like our Take-Out dinner from Ruby House restaurant in Keystone. They almost forgot 1/3 of our order. The buffalo burgers were charred, the fries were cold, and the sweet potato fries for which we paid extra were missing.

The staff was very friendly. They were very accommodating us kept in touch with us while we were out And was able to fix the water issue and we were able to stay there on site.

As soon as we got there, they had a water issue. We had to wait 30 minutes and check back with him to see what they could do to accommodate us. I decided to take my youngest daughter out for her birthday while we waited. The room was newly painted but still outdated. They only had one conditioned shampoo in a mini bottle. USB plug-ins and there is still visible tape around the pictures where they had painted.

Me and my husband want to give special recognition in this review to our host Michael Moose who assisted us in absolutely everything we needed during our stay in this wonderful place in an efficient, polite, friendly and caring way, he made us feel more than friends as a family, we want to say thank you infinitely and publicly, great hotel comfortable, clean, in an excellent location, beautiful landscapes, many places to go, but this would have been nothing without Michael's attention, thank you

when I stayed and went to Fat Sam's for breakfast as this was the closet and the hotel did not have breakfast. I was very disappointed. All previous review made it sound great, unfortunately this was not my experience. The food was cold, the oatmeal you could use for wall paper paste, the value was not at all good I would have gotten a better breakfast at McDonalds and I do not eat there

Location was great for us. Not a far drive to Badlands, Caves, devils tower or Deadwood. We actually enjoyed the drives and the scenery. Lots of hiking around here. The staff was helpful and friendly.

If I had to do work I'd say the lack of stable connection to the internet. But overall I'm glad it wasn't because it forced me to enjoy the things I came up here to enjoy.

The location is perfect when visiting Mount Rushmore, which is just 2.3 miles away. There are also other activities around the area like the Tramway Adventures and the President Wax museum. Shops and restaurants are just walking distance from the property. The property is clean and comfortable for a stay!

Beds were extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. The room was good a size, and parking was right outside the room, making it very easy to load/unload. Staff was very friendly and had recommendations on dining and attraction information. Motel is located where Mt Rushmore can be seen from the parking lot, an unexpected perk.

Nothing available for breakfast. One day the water coming from the faucet was yellow and smelled odd. The next day it was normal again.

A great value and room. Staff member Christine was awesome. Very helpful. Always upbeat and smiling.

Advertising of breakfast and then stating (after the room is booked) that it was not being continued (or rooms cleaned) because of Covid. It's time to stop using that excuse and just tell the truth - or better yet, stop advertising one thing and then providing another. It was a great place and price without the breakfast. Just leave it at that.

Everything was great. The location could not be beat. The staff was very helpful in pointing us in directions of attractions that we were interested in. There was 4 of us total and I thought we would be fine with 2 full beds but my family wasnt happy about it. So I went and asked for a rollaway bed but instead of the rollaway they just comped us the room next door. They were fantastic and very friendly about it all. The kindness they showed will not be forgotten and is very much appreciated

I specifically choose Magnuson to stay because I wanted to see Mount Rushmore at night. It was spectacular! Very clean and everything was walking distance. Love it and most definitely will be my go stay again when I travel back to East coast.
