The Russell Nashville is an extraordinary boutique hotel experience! I was only in town for one night, and exhausted by the time I arrived at the hotel after an event. My room was quiet, impeccably clean, sublimely comfortable, and gorgeous. I appreciated the thoughtful touches (tasty snacks and bottled water). The only thing that would have made it more perfect would have been a huge bathtub. That said, the shower was enormous. I felt good that part of my room rate helped homeless charities in the area, and I hope to stay at The Russell again soon.

Unique, welcoming. Fun yet sophisticated. We loved the Colts chocolate waiting for us in the room. Coffee station was excellent. Books in the lobby were great for browsing. Parking was simple and close by. Location was brilliant for a quick drive into Nashville Broadway area. TV options available were astounding!

The linen for the sofa bed was tucked away in a cupboard and we had to make up the bed for our booked number of guests. Every other detail was so perfectly communicated but we would have liked some clear instructions regarding this. Only one small hitch because everything else was seamless and excellent.

Awesome property, room and overall idea for a hotel! It takes a few minutes to get used to the concept, but it's very well executed. We were really impressed - it's so nice to just show up to your room! It's so easy to get in and out, beds are super comfortable, bathrooms amazing and we loved the decor, details & amenities they provided. It's so unique & fun and we would highly recommend it!!

I don't think we would stay in the bunk room again. Very cute and comfortable, but we would get a regular room next time.

The hotel is constructed inside a beautiful former church. I think that is literally how it needs to be descibed; a construction inside a building. And that worked out perfecty! It's a nicely decorated hotel in a beautiful building with excellent rooms. It had everything a hotelroom needs and at a very high quality level. Free fresh coffee was available in the lobby. Room-size was typical American: big. Great detail: the beds were build from the church benches. Also the system to check in, entering the hotel and unlocking the room worked out fine. Although there was no desk-staff in the hotel during our stay, it all worked out nicely. Parking is across the street, so all facilities are spot-on. Last but not least: the location is very nice. The hotel is located in East Nashville which is a lovely area. We walked downtown which is about a 30 minutes walk. The walk back was good to refresh your mind after a visit to Broadway. There are more than enough restaurants in the area which mostly seemed very modern. We had diner at a very trendy Asian place about 10 minutes walking from the hotel.

Although it didn't bother, it's interesting to have a hotel with no desk-staff. It wasn't necessary for us, but I can imagine some people prefer to have somebody in person to help them when needed. For this reason the hotel doesn't give a sence of hospitality, but is more a great place to spend the night. And as lacks in so many other American hotels as well: why not a small bar or restaurant?

Absolutely no words for the entire place and experience! It was beyond what we imagined, every single detail around the hotel is perfect and well designed. Very thoughtful with the gift basket in the room and coffee station at the lobby! Besides all the other cute corners they have. The location is amazing, literally 5-10 minutes drive to downtown and Uber was super cheap too since it's close. The entire Church experience was amazing and peaceful, it almost feels like a museum, because you just wanna walk around and explore the place and take pictures! Plus the mission they have helping homeless people around the city is just incredible and heart warming! The room was bigger in person and extremely cozy. The price can be salty for some people, but as a traveler, its totally worth it, cause this is the typical place that you're not booking just a hotel room, but the whole experience itself. Supporting a wonderful renovation project that kept the history of the building, supporting small and local hotel business, supporting and helping people in the city, and the most important one, having a unique place to stay! If you dont like or care about any of this, just book any other normal hotel. My husband and I loves to travel and stay at different places, and this one is definitely on the list...Thats gonna be our official hotel in Nashville every time we go! Cant wait to go back!

The hotel is lovely. It's modern yet comfortable. The room is very well decorated. LOVED the shower. Also the room comes with complimentary snacks from local producers. That was a nice touch. Also they use a Dyson hair dryer which is TOP NOTCH.

The toilet area is separated, which is good, but there's no AC or fan in that part of the bathroom.

We had a group of 14 and rented out 3 rooms. All of the girls were impressed with the cleanliness, amenities, and spaciousness of the hotel. The management was excellent with communication and the distance to broadway was only about an 8 minute uber. Our stay in Nash was definitely enhanced by staying at the Russell!

We had a group of girls and tried to be respectful but we did get a noise complaint for chatting too loudly in our room when we get back around 1am. That was the only issue though.

The lobby is very welcoming and has a great vibe with the vintage decor. We were loving walking through taking pictures and just enjoying the space.

We weren’t able to really unpack with the small “closet” type furniture so we were constantly moving our big suitcases around; all in all a very very small item to worry about though.

A unique hotel unlike any other. Located in a quiet neighborhood with an atmosphere to match! The hotel was welcoming yet calm and quiet. Cleanliness was beyond reproach! Complementary coffee and tea were available in the lobby and guests could find carbonated water as well at the water stations. Our room had a complementary snack track that included several goodies - a very nice and much appreciated touch! We also loved how how the hotel reclaimed and reused items from the original structure (the church). The stained glass windows on the exterior are stunning, but we even had some ‘windows’ in our room made of stained glass and we had an interior room! Of course the headboards made from the pews were amazing. And we loved the layout of the upper floor. It was a nice common area space and really showed off the beams of the structure.

The rooms aren’t very soundproof. You realize this pretty fast and tend to adjust your voice and volume accordingly. being on the first floor we could hear the people above us all night at very late hours. not sure if this was just due to the structure or rude people…

I LOVED the easy check-in with just door codes sent via text and email. I appreciated being able to communicate via text and email and send in a photo of my ID. I would choose the Russell over other hotels just for this. Everything else was amazing, the room was perfect, the wifi was easy and reliable, the lobby coffee was great, parking could not have been easier (a blessing in itself), the in-room goodies were great, the lobby area was gorgeous.
