I've always been weary of motels, but this one changed my mind! The Expendition Lodge is super clean, the beds were very comfortable and the dessert "life is a highway" kind of vibe they got going on is a nice touch. Not to mention, the price is great! Especially for the location, which is right next to the down town. We brought our two dogs, and they were welcomed with a very small pet fee compared to any other place I've ever been. You can tell that your furry friends are welcomed with open arms here!

Great location, everyone was very kind and helpful, the outdoor heated pool and hot tub was an unexpected bonus! Good breakfast.
Unfortunately, we had some very inconsiderate neighbors in the rooms above us for the last two nights of our stay. Kept us up up with little kids running around until 1am, dropping things, just being very disruptive. Not the fault of the people working - they talked to the people in the room but it didn’t make a difference. The floors were very creaky and we could hear every movement, as excessive as it was for that time of the night.

Charming, nostalgic decor. Heated pool. Breakfast included with many choices. The waffles were shaped like the state of Texas! Great location in Moab with restaurants and shops walking distance away. Arches & Canyonlands not far away. Coffee maker, small microwave and refrigerator in room, which was nice. Particularly good for families given the pool, available family rooms (some bunk beds we saw) and a games room. Halloween decorations were extensive. There were many families there during our stay.
Having said the property is great for families, the children running around were obnoxious and loud at times. Floor in room was very, very dirty. The bottoms of our feet or socks were black from walking around our room. Satellite TV remote a bit quirky to use. Very poor sound proofing. The room below us ran their bathroom fan and it rumbled and vibrated a terrible noise in our room above. You could feel it in the floor. Our bathroom fan was also loud and vibrated.

We didn't know about the free arcade room for kids, which was a big hit. And even though the pool said "heated" other places we have stayed that isn't always accurate, but that was not the case here. The pool was VERY warm so even though it was not as warm at night, my kids still had a blast in the pool because it was WARM. It was really fun to have a water slide. The Halloween decor was super fun as well and we have never seen that at any other hotel to that degree. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were large and spacious. It was great to have a fridge and a microwave (though the microwave was smaller than normal size). My kids said the hotel was one of their favorite parts of our trip so it was a big hit. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Nothing we didn't like. It would have been helpful possibly to have breakfast start a little earlier than 7 for those people that needed to get on the move fast, but it wasn't a big deal.

So many memories to be made here. Mid-Century Modern motel with all the amenities expected of a Best Western. A heated bean pool with a circular slide, hot tub in the middle of town. Great continental breakfast with large breakfast room. Check out their huge mid-century bathroom with golden fixtures in the breakfast/break room and the game room too! Walk to downtown to all the restaurants, coffee cafes, cowboy and adventure/gear stores. The staff are local and will do everything to make this place a comfortable and memorable place to stay! Arches is amazing! Highly recommend you get there for free before 7am or after 4pm. Otherwise you will have to make a reservation on Recreation.gov for timed after 7am. This is my 5th stay in this motel in 2 years. There are plenty of other hotels/motels in the area but none as convenient and memory making as this place. To whomever the owners are, thank you for making this a memorable retreat place to stay!!!
Nothing to add!

We spent 3 nights at this motel. Room was the largest we had in our almost 3 wk multi-state trip, and the only one that had a small closet /storage & enough seating. Room was decorated in the 50’s style, clean, beds & pillows were like new & quite comfortable. The AC worked very well. Microwave & mini fridge in very good condition. The bath tub however was slightly clogged. The large window was a plus; however couldn’t benefit too much of the natural light, bc the 1 pc miniblind was either making the room too dark , or , if lifted offered no privacy and often noticed curious kids peaking into the rooms. Access to Rooms on top floor is via stairs only. Also the walls were a little too thin. Standard breakfast, ok if you’re not fussy. One of the few places that had a decent tea selection & fresh fruits (apples).
Spaciousness of the room.

I was traveling with my 9 yr old granddaughter and booked this hotel specifically for the pool & game room. We were there for 2 nights and had daily room service - a nice touch! The slide has a pump and the staff made a point to let us know it took a minute or so for the water to reach the top of the slide. My granddaughter had a lot of fun on the slide and all the kids in the pool waited until it was clear at the bottom to go down. The game room had a ping pong table & video games were free. Breakfast started at 7 am and was simple but plentiful. The retro theme is carried out throughout the property and into the rooms. The hardsurface floors were nice given the area
The toliet & bathtub/shower room was small but usable. It would be nice to have somewhere to hang wet bathing suits/river clothes.

The location of the Expedition Lodge is perfect for folks wanting to visit the Arches monument (it's only a 10-15 minute drive) and walk around in downtown Moab (the lodge is on one end of the main drag and one block away from the large city park). In short, it's the location that you're paying for. The facility is decorated with a vintage-esque style that's pretty cute. The staff were kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating (they let us stow our luggage for a bit because we arrived ahead of check-in time).
The double-queen room is fine but not much better than fine -- the beds were comfortable, the curtains allowed us to darken the room, the AC worked, and hot water came out of the tap, all of which which I appreciated. But it's no larger or fancier than a motel6 room, so don't expect any space to spread out. The breakfast bar was average-to-poor and at peak times there really isn't a lot of seating (which causes the tables to be somewhat dirty-- this is not the staff's fault, they just don't have time to clean between folks leaving and sitting down). And so much plastic and styro waste!

We’ve stayed here several times. The kids love the pool and slide! I love the huge rooms the whole family can stay in together. The breakfast is great. You can walk to shops and restaurants, great location.
Each time we arrive the floor is dirty. Everything else in the room is clean but they don’t seem to wash the vinyl floors. People put their bikes in the rooms, which is fine but the floors should be cleaned between guests. The kids’ feet are always black from walking on the floor so we borrow a mop or ‘skate’ around on chlorox wipes and clean it ourselves.

Great location! Very close to the entrance to Arches National Park. . . with beautiful surroundings in a lively large town. Moab has plenty of good restaurants. Moab is interesting enough to stay for a few days, especially because of the surrounding natural beauty and parks. Comfortable bed and good shower, with good WIFI, fridge. and microwave.
Although we can all use better prices these days, there was really nothing much that could have been better. We had a good sized, fairly quiet room. . . some sound insulation in the ceiling would have provided better sleep in this older property.
