The location is beautiful and a bit remote, which is quite welcome after a day of fighting the crowd at the park. Ron, Stephanie, Kate, Curtis and all the cast and crew were remarkably welcoming and intent upon keeping us comfortable and quite happy in this little piece of paradise. The food and drink were fabulous. The tent was quite comfortable, the bathroom facilities were good, and the bed was exceptional. We made some friends with fellow guests, found and enjoyed the dinosaur tracks up in Smith Mesa (thanks, Ron, for the coordinates!), took advantage of good advice from the staff during our visit to Zion National Park, and relaxed once we returned to "camp." In short, we loved everything about this place. We will be back!
Leaving.

The tent was really nice. I LOVED the stargazing window above my head. I really enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the birds and watching the mountains. The location is gorgeous. Great bathroom and shower. The fan and lanterns were fun. I wish it had been cooler so that I could have used the wood burner for heat. I even thought the food was pretty good.
Everything was fantastic until the DJ provided by under canvas began playing. Having a DJ playing electronic music a few hundred feet from my tent isnt really my idea of camping in nature. There was really no way to escape it since the concert was outside. Everyone was quiet after the show so that's great but it definitely took away from my enjoyment of the tent. From this perspective, I feel under canvas zion was overpriced and I will be cautious about staying there again.

Unfortunately, we arrived too late in the evening and had to leave too early in the morning to explore the premises fully. We did have dinner on-site: mine was excellent (a pork-based bowl); my wife's was not (her chicken was almost charred). We also had breakfast, which was delicious (Açaà bowl). Most importantly, if you come for the stargazing factor, you are definitely at the right place: the night sky was fantastic, and the stargazing tent is totally worth it (actually much better than we had anticipated, as the view from the bed itself is almost 100% clear). The staff was nice and helpful.
As glamping goes, our point of reference is comparable safari park accommodations in Tanzania. Despite being located in a much less remote area and being considerably more expensive, Under Canvas' tents felt inferior in almost every aspect: tent quality, tent comfort, tent rules (no outside food), bathroom design (including technique required for a decent shower), available technology (wifi, power plugs), etc. In our opinion, the improvement margin here is still considerable. In any case, the potential is there.

Great set up, tents were modern inside and easy to use. We loved the restaurant live music each night!
Value for money - quite expensive for what it is. Still have to pay (high price) for food/drinks. Tents still felt a little close to each other, we had a deluxe tent that was still close to neighbours and could see into each others windows. Considering how much we are paying each night, would be nicer to have more privacy. Would also be amazing if a pool was put in so you could spend more time on the grounds during the hotter days as it’s nice to enjoy the space.

The location is out of this world - the changing colours of the surrounding mesas as the sun sets are simply amazing. The bed was super comfortable and the tent/room was spacious with a nice patio and the stargazing window was fabulous as the sky was seriously dark! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. All of the food we had was flavourful - nice ‘twists’ without being overdone. The live music on our first night was brilliant - a lovely chilled vibe which matched the setting sun perfectly. Finally, the free s’mores by the fire pits made for a lovely after dinner treat and a great way to meet other guests. A relatively short drive to both Zion and Kolob canyons.
These gripes are only minor but are the difference between the 9 we rated and a full 10: The hand-pull shower is seriously awkward - we get the need for water conservation but a timed push button would be better! The food tended to come all at once - entrees on top of appetisers; as it was outdoors and chilly this meant eating cold food, which was a shame; we get that it’s a relaxed environment but the prices were restaurant level and it wasn’t super busy so all it needs is a bit of organisation to avoid this. Almost every plate, cup & utensil was single use which wasn’t great from a sustainability perspective.

The location was amazing! Wonderful views! Easy in and out with the car. We were able to pull right up to our tent. The staff were very personable and accommodating. The food was exceptional. The tent itself was great and nicely appointed. The nightly s’mores were fun for kids and adults alike. The lobby had board games you can play and free water, ice and cooling towels. Flushing toilets in a tent - need I say more?! There’s too many amenities to list here!
The pull chain shower was a bit tricky to use. That’s it, that’s my only issue. Everything else was wonderful!

We had such a lush stay at Under Canvas Zion. It was the last night of our two week roadtrip during which we got married so we splashed out on an expensive stargazer tent with private bathroom for our mini moon. The staff were a delight and our tent had been tastefully decorated with Just Married decor and they gave us a voucher for a complimentary appetiser with dinner (though we arrived late and ate before going to our tent so the following morning they let us use it for a breakfast). We were also given the opportunity to move to a tent with private parking space but it was v dark and I didn't want to drive up the little lanes. The shuttle to our tent was absolutely enough. Upon arrival we caught the end of a live singer while we had our dinner. The two main fire pits were busy so we retreated to our tent for a bit then came out when they had become available and enjoyed some smores whilst looking at the stars. What a treat! The weather was turning stormy but we managed to see the stars from our tent before we fell asleep, exhausted from a day of long drives and exploring Bryce canyon. I woke up to heavy rain which was noisy on the stargazer part above our heads but the bed was so warm and cosy I fell back to sleep quickly. We had dinner and breakfast at the lobby restaurant. The food was nice, healthy, nothing amazing for the high prices. We were also given a cool box for our on the road food and drink which was super handy as ours had stopped being cold! I'd stay again as a treat in hope of lucking out with the weather and getting to see a sunrise instead of clouds haha. Its always a gamble!
That we only had one night there

It wasn’t as luxurious as I expected with glamping, but comfortable. The room was very cold, it was hard to start the fire, they should have people helping out when it’s your first time in a tent like this. The food was ok, not enough variety for a 3 day stay, the site was very far from the town so we had to eat in the site. Definitely a great experience, except the crazy price they were charging for star grazing, that should be free in a place like this. Definitely too expensive for what it offered.

We loved our tent experience. I like how big the tents were and beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were nice also. Loved the wood stove for heat. Lights that were provided were very useful. Looking at the sky at night was amazing. We enjoyed the outdoor fire and looked very pretty with the lights on.
During our time, weather was very windy so that we did not enjoy. It's nothing under the canvas could do anything about. I wish it was less windy so we could have enjoyed the common gathering area around the fire.

We enjoyed the location it was remote and beautiful and the night sky. I loved my stargazer tent. It was a splurge but I enjoyed it. We also liked the chairs around the fire, very comfortable to sit back and look at stars. Food was good and enjoyed chatting with other guest. Highly recommend it. Hope we can go back. Only concern was the heat and the tents were warm inside but they cooled down once the sun went down.
The heat in the bathrooms. And parking away from the tent but that wasn’t that big of a deal.
