The viking chalets are fun and neatly decorated. The design is clever too so a lot of amenities are arranged on a small footprint. Our toddler loved running around the pathways between each unit and visited the Soay sheep on premises as many times as possible. Plenty of kitsch to take in if that is your taste.

Apart from the sheep and the fun decor, there was not much to do at the resort. The main lodge was not activated during our stay and was locked up most of the time. We spied a couple other lodgers while exploring the campus but it felt deserted otherwise. The resort is somewhat remote so be prepared to travel a bit for entertainment and food.

The Vikings Villages Resort was magical & uniquely memorable. Christina made us feel welcomed as soon as we arrived. She gave us an informative tour of the spectacular surroundings. The village resort is a one of a kind adventure. The buildings have been created with the thought of comfort and pleasure. We were tucked in a forest with breathtaking views of nature. Christina was kind, considerate, and heartfelt in making our stay memorable. Our adorable (true to the Viking theme) place was extremely clean and comfortable. Christina and her family have created an amazing place to experience. We can't wait to go back. We have already told family and friends about our exciting adventure. Make time for The Vikings Villages Resort, the experience we Believe will be memorable. Thank you Christina, family, and Peanut🥰

There is not one thing that we didn't like. The Vikings Villages Resort was Amazing... We loved everything about it☺️☺️

We loved how peaceful and private it was being there. We loved how comfortable the beds were, the cabin was clean, and they had everything we needed in the cabin. If we needed anything like towels or the trash was full, a quick text and it was all handled. I wake early (5am) and was able to sit out front to enjoy my coffee while watching the sun rise every morning. We loved it enough we added another night on while there.

2 things I would change, a better light for the stairs at night. My son (then my mom and daughter as well) did end up tripping but catching himself during the night, turning the main light on would of woke everyone else . Also the owner who was amazing kept saying to go explore the property however there were no trails to walk, I wish there were some. Not being from there we had no idea where to walk and we were worried about getting lost.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the viking villages and would definitely return. I've never stayed in my own cabin before and it felt like we were really secluded, but not like a scary movie vibe. Everything was very easy and nice. Great shower, loved the fireplace and the decor.

The sheets could be a bit softer, the toilet paper could be thicker and I wish they had some decaf coffee/tea/hot chocolate options, but all of this is very nit picky of me. Seriously we loved the Viking Villages, you should stay here. We'll be back.

Viking Village is a stunning place that surprised us in wonderful ways! - If you are into Viking lore, Viking Village should be on your bucket list, full stop. You are sure to think you have died and gone to Valhalla. - If you are into creative "theming": This place is one of a kind, with sophisticated attention to detail that is seems unmatched by anyone short of the highest-end Disney resorts. Everywhere you look there is a clever touch to convey a particular Viking-ish feeling (if a very unrealistically confortable and posh one ;-) - If you simply want a nice cottage to stay in: the cottages are both very beautiful and highly practical. Perfect for a couple or for a family of 3-4, such that parents can have their own lovely room and kids can have their own room in the charming upstairs loft (note: with somewhat steep and slippery stairs and no door to keep closed, I wouldn't have personally felt safe with toddlers in the loft. But we have have two teenagers, and it was perfect.) The bathroom was memorably fantastic (those sinks! the water pressure!) The wi-fi was perfect. The pillows, and fairy lights, and every little touch was just so well thought out and lovely. And the kitchen was fully decked out with everything one would need for basic meal prep (pots and pans, knives, silverware, paper towels, napkins, I think even paper plates) which is just such a huge convenience. The location might require some consideration depending on a traveler's goals. For those seeking time in nature, it is perfect. And we found driving the back country roads of Vermont and N. Mass to be a big part of the fun. We ended up going to Thunderbold Mountain Coaster at East Berkshire ski resort (so fun for kids and adults!) MOCA art museum in North Adams. Amherst and Northampton (great shops and restaurants!) Lenox MA. Bennington, Wilmington, and Manchester VT. Great fun! The proprieter couldn't have been more wonderful.

We LOVED absolutely everything about this place - it couldn't have been more perfect. We will be back!

The chalet was beyond our expectations, the decor was charming, warm and cozy. Every piece of furniture, equipment and facilities were well thought of. It was also super clean, the kitchen was very well equipped with quality cookware and ustensils. The host Christina was very responsive. She welcomed us with a bottle of Apple Cider sparkling drink and pastries. Overall, we had a great experience! I highly recommend.

Nothing that I can think of, but since I have 2 teenage girls occupying the upper floor bedroom, one of them mentioned that a full-length mirror in that room would have been great!

This place was very unique and cozy. The minute you arrive, you feel transported back in time. You have all the amenities you need and the attention to detail was well thought out. Christina was very helpful and welcoming. We would definitely come again.

There wasn't anything to not like. I do think it would be a great idea if they incorporated a firepit or hot tub in the future just as an added bonus, but this place really is great just the way it is. They even have sheep!

The property was beautiful as evidenced by the craftsmanship of the main building and the cottages. They were clean and overall amazing. We wanted to try something different and this fit the bill. The sheep were incredible as were the owners. They were very knowledgeable about the land, sheep, and building and had great recommendations for dining. I was a little nervous about renting a “Viking cottage” but this place exceeded my expectations.

I wish I had stayed longer!

What a very cool and unique property. We were welcomed on our arrival date with a text message from the host and she was very responsive to my questions before we arrived. The property is a little out of the way, but the theme of the property wouldn't work in another setting I don't think. I think the cost of the cabin was a bit high for what was offered but still very interesting and cozy. Our cabin was cozy with a gas fireplace, plenty of space in the seating area and the dining area. We arrived too late to go on a walk through the property but it looked very nice. I wish there was a fire pit in the spacious yard. It looked as though the property owners are still carving trees and adding features. The large house seemed very cool; it was set up for an event the next day so we didnt ask if we could look around. There is so much attention to detail that we could have spend several days and not seen it all. The entry gate, the turrets, detail on the carved trees, the lodge, each guest house had slight exterior changes. Very nice place, we will stay again if our travels take us to Vermont again.

I cant think of anything I didn't like of really care for.

We rented 2 cabins for the weekend during a snowstorm, they were super cozy and warm! Everything about this place is awesome, the medieval decor feels professionally done, like you are in a movie set! Make sure you bring all your food and drinks as the ride to the store is a little far on back country roads, but this just adds to the remote feel of the village. We will definitely be going back!
