Review of Mountain Sports Inn – Perfect Choice for Skiers and Visitors My stay at Mountain Sports Inn in Killington, Vermont, was outstanding, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay while enjoying the area. Whether you’re visiting for skiing, snowboarding, or simply taking in the beautiful surroundings, this inn checks all the boxes for a great experience. Prime Location – Close to Killington Resort The inn’s location is one of its biggest strengths. For anyone skiing or snowboarding at Killington Ski Resort, you couldn’t ask for better convenience. The inn is just 7 minutes away from the K1 Lodge, which made getting to the slopes fast and easy. After a long day of skiing, the short drive back was perfect – no hassle, no wasted time. In addition to its proximity to the resort, the inn is close to other essential amenities. There’s a supermarket nearby for any snacks or supplies, and a restaurant just 100 meters away – ideal for grabbing a quick meal without having to drive. These little conveniences make the stay even more enjoyable, especially for skiers who want to focus on the slopes and not logistics. Clean, Comfortable, and Recently Renovated The rooms at Mountain Sports Inn are exceptionally clean and well-maintained. It’s clear that the management takes pride in offering a welcoming, comfortable space for their guests. One of the highlights for me was the newly renovated bathrooms. They are modern, clean, and functional, giving the rooms an updated and fresh feel. The beds were comfortable, ensuring I got a great night’s sleep to recharge for another day on the slopes. What I really appreciated was the spacious parking area right outside. It’s just a few steps to the inn’s entrances, which made unloading gear and luggage incredibly easy, especially after a long drive. Fantastic Free Breakfast – Made to Order One of the standout features of Mountain Sports Inn is the free breakfast.

My husband and I have been staying here for years. It’s our go to for Ski season and now Mountain biking as well. The staff is always friends, breakfast is always delicious and if you have to have late check in it’s not a problem at all. Sometimes we will drive up after work and not get there until 11pm. They have our name and key waiting. There’s no where else you can’t stay on the mountain with such a great price that is clean welcoming and has a full breakfast!

It’s a ski lodge. It was clean, well maintained, the staff friendly and a decent breakfast. Just basic hospitality done right. NOTE: this lodge is about 1000 ft from the Killington VT gondola lift which will take you up more than 4,000 ft to get an amazing view of the green mountains
Breakfast with Eggs/sausage or biscuits and gravy would have been nice

Our second time here and we love the ski lodge vibe. Beds were so comfortable and the room was clean with a view. Breakfast was continental and fit our needs. Location is great with restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly, helpful and available. If you're looking for an ultra modern place, this isn't it. This is much better with a true ski lodge feeling.
Hot tub was out of service

Good breakfast. Would have been nice to have whole wheat bread available for toast but were told you had it earlier in the week. Nice that snacks were available at all times.
Entry to parking lot was rough. Bottomed out the car on the hump. Would be a challenge with snow later in the season. But I understand you are keeping road runoff into the parking lot. Staff could not extend our stay but helped us find a suitable place nearby.

Was quite pleased with my room -- it was very clean, all amenities (pretty large TV, Wifi, fridge) were in good shape as were the beds. Breakfast sufficed for me -- I took a bagel with cream cheese and fruit every day. Staff was available and friendly but not in your face. Felt like I was coming and going from my own place. Near lots of great nature nearby for hiking and swimming. Near some restaurants (including a fine ice cream place) and Rutland is 10 miles away for more extensive choices. And although prices have gone up on my travel options a third or more across the board over the past couple of years, this represented a good value for the area and market.
Actually these are not necessarily complaints for me but I make note of...Wifi was a bit wonky at times which is understandable in the mountains, but it always came back. There is no AC -- for me this was not an issue as I prefer fresh air and they had a strong fan. Only one day was hot but all others were in the 70s and nights even went down to upper 40s -- in July! Lastly (again not a complaint) there was no regular housekeeping. I believe you need to request it but I never did -- I was fine. I would say if you are high maintenance you might want to spend the extra bucks and go elsewhere. For me this was about perfect.

Several restaurants are within walking distance which is a good thing. The breakfast, while continental in nature, was better than most.
Since breakfast is not available until 7:30 a.m. it would be nice if there were coffee makers in the rooms.

Phil was one of the best front desk employees we've ever met. His customer service was outstanding. He went the extra mile to explain the routes we should take and highlighted must-see attractions in the area

I booked for just one night and hoped for something clean and comfortable. It met these expectations plus nice banana bread with breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay again.
They suggested the best way to the mountain, given parking limitations, involved taking the local municipal bus from right across the street. I waiting almost an hour without a bus ever arriving. Parking at the mountain, even at a lot far from the base, and taking the Killington Mountain shuttle bus proved a better option.
