Breakfast was first class. There was an individual clearing the tables in addition to lady providing the food. Clearing the tables created a smooth flow of diners, who were many. Also, I booked a standard room and was assigned a room with a walk-in-shower which, I believe was an upgrade. Would stay again. Was visiting granddaughter at V Tech.

I was not recognized at check-in. Was told my res must be at another HI. Had a dinner date and decided to determine the correct HI afterwards. Checking my phone later, I determined that my booking was correct. Returned to location and gave the clerk the booking #. She found that my reservation was confirmed as Michael without my last name. Problem solved. Determined that HI was not at fault. The fault was with Booking.com. Reservation person was not at fault and I told her so.

It was clean and the staff was very helpful. The lobby was clean and an open space to meet if needed. The room was clean and nice. I didn't realize that I had booked a suite, but it was fine since there was a pull-out couch to sleep on.

The pull-out couch did not have sheets or a blanket on it, so I slept on the couch without pulling it open. At 2AM is when I found the extra linen in a closet and that is when I was able to get a blanket to sleep with.

This hotel was absolutely amazing from the cleanest rooms to the best breakfast ever. All the employees that I meet was super nice and so helpful. The bed was absolutely perfect and felt like I was sleeping in a cloud, the tv was amazing, the coffee maker in the room had such a great selection. Everything there was just wonderful. We will stay there from now on when we come to visit our daughter at Va Tech for the next 3 years!!!

The room was great, two beds and a sleeper sofa worked great for our family of four, and the bathroom layout was good. the room was great for sleeping because it was dark with the blackout shades. The pool area was a lot of fun.

There wasn't a lot of things bad about this hotel. However the one improvement I could recommend would be to have more of a variety for breakfast.

Breakfast was great, and staff took care of our needs. Being somewhat displaced by hurricane Helene, it was nice to have an on-site guest laundry.

Not so much as a complaint, but curious why handicap rooms are not all on ground floor. A wheelchair during an emergency exit with stairs is useless on any floor other than ground.

Loved the fireplace and big screen tv in the lobby. Very welcoming. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. We really enjoyed the layout of the room. It was nice to have a sofa and coffee table to enjoy drinks and snacks while watching the Hokies. Continental breakfast was good.

Couldn’t stream on TV.

This is our “go-to” stop between our homes in Tennessee and New York. It’s exceptional. So comfortable, lots of room, very clean. Nice free breakfast too. We were checked in and out by two very nice young men. We will be back on our next trip.

The first time we stayed I thought it was a tad far from the highway, but this makes it very quiet. It’s really only a few minutes from the highway. So we really like everything.

Breakfast was excellent and room was clean, bed comfortable.

Paid 600 bucks for two nights, Tech Game was cancelled, fee could have been reduced due to that. The fellow tending the Breakfast Buffet was a bit over bearing. I felt pressured to leave him a tip, which I intended to do anyway, however I didn’t have cash on me that morning, I felt like he noticed me and others not leaving a tip, I left him a 20 the following morning . As I said before, the Breakfast Buffet was excellent, the best I have had anywhere. He just needs to dial it back a touch.

Room size, cleanliness, gym, pool, toiletries breakfast.

Night clerk Michael D. was rude, played on his phone all night, ignored my phone calls. Occupants in 505 and 507 were teenagers having a party all night long. Night clerk did nothing to stop the noise and he did not care either. He should have stayed home as he added NO value to the Holiday Inn Express at all.

Room set up and beds were excellent. Good shower. Quiet. Nice green trees out the back. Pastoral setting. Close to downtown. Great cinnamon rolls.

Breakfast, not good choices for someone with diabetes or vegetarian/vegan. No eggs, tho" the sign above the breakfast bar suggested that there would be. Biscuits with Sausage gravy, bacon, and sausage. All 3 cereals were heavy with sugar. Food and milk ran out before breakfast end and server was very slow to respond and not cordially.
