Good park like view out our windows. Clean room and bathroom. Friendly cleaning staff. We had the buffet brunch at Prestons which was very good. The host staff at front and staff at the buffet were very welcoming and informative. Lady at back delivered the waffle when my daughter forgot. Made to order omelets, carving station (pork loin), freshly made waffles, and a number of choices for entrees, sides, salads, and desserts. Soft drinks, OJ, and good Coffee included. They had special on bloody Mary’s and mimosas but we didn’t get them.

Maybe add a water filling station near the ice machines?

Very very clean from the campus, to the lobby and well into the room. EVERYONE there was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to assist. The location is very near food so heading out and back in isn't an issue for a quick bite or sit down dinner. Rooms were immaculate and toiletries provided were very nice quality. Beautiful view night and day. Well lit at night and safe to walk around. Benches provided along the front make it easy to sit and enjoy the environment and beautiful scenery. The room was surprisingly spacious and upon walking in felt presidential (this was a simple 2 bed regular room). Definitely recommending to all who consider staying!

Mattress was angled strangely making it a little rough to get comfortable. Pillows were very soft and flattened when laid upon. However, I was able to use one of the extra blankets provided to make a prop for the one pillow I used and thereafter slept like a dream! I will absolutely be returning for future stays!

Everything from A to Z! It was a last minute booking but it was totally the best decision! When we arrived, we could find easily a parking spot in the parking area, which was for free. The atmosphere was really nice and it was a really calm area. At the reception we were welcomed really well and they were super friendly. Our room was so clean and everything was well prepared. It was so specious and we felt like at home. We stayed only one night but if plan to go this area again, definitely it would be our first and only choice.

We were on our way to Maine, and this was a first night stop. The location is great…only a few miles to the downtown Blacksburg area. The campus is lovely, and we really loved the architecture for the outside of the hotel. Everything was very nice in and out. Our king room was large with a view of the grounds. There is a breakfast buffet, but we left early, and didn’t partake in that. In the same restaurant they serve dinner which is very convenient. The dinner atmosphere and service were very good, but the food was maybe a little below average for the price. We were the only guests for dinner. All in all though, a nice stay.

Beautiful facility right on the VaTech Tech Campus. The staff was very professional and helpful. The facilities and property were beautiful. We were moving our daughter into her new apartment downtown during the Stepping Out festival. Bad timing. The Manager allowed us to borrow one of the luggage carts for a few hours to help move her belongings through the crowd from a nearby parking lot. It was a tremendous help. I really appreciated their flexibility and generosity. It saved us hours of work.

The only thing I wished was that there was a microwave in the room

Great fitness center!

The cucumber water in the lobby had old cucumbers. It tasted bad, and the cucumber water should be changed more frequently. The breakfast was OK. No change in menu between the days. We ate breakfast both days. The pastries were old, but the biscuits and gravy was good. The beds may have been too soft. The kids liked it, but the adults could use a firmer bed.

The property was really nice and we loved being so close to the VT admissions office. We opted for the breakfast at the hotel. The server, a VT student was helpful (she told us about her experience at VT and was great at bringing coffee and refills). My 16 year old son liked the food but I wish there were more fresh fruit and vegetables and the that food was warmer. Overall, we had a great stay.

Nice large room and clean and comfortable.

The supposed heated buffet meal was cold. When we asked for a fresh serving dish they brought out an entire platter of more not warm eggs and bacon. This 10 minutes before closing so that entire container was being tossed out after we left. It would have been better to just cook us up a few scrambled eggs and bacon that was hot rather than the entire changing dish that barely warm and was going to be tossed. That was sad to see all of that food being thrown out!

The staff was delightful. The room was very comfortable, and clean, with a fresh supply of coffee every day. The location was perfect, near a beautiful large water pond with birds and water plants. The city is close to wonderful hiking trails and historic attractions, which improved my stay.

The price was a bit high for one person.

Clean, comfortable and festive accommodations. Great on-campus location. Room was very clean and TV was great.

It lacked a more affordable lunch and dinner/menu option at its restaurant on Friday a.m. We didn't want to pay $16 for just a bite to eat at breakfast - as we would have preferred to eat at the hotel vs going out to off campus fast food restaurant.
