The novelty of sleeping in a pod was really fun. I felt 100% safe. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The location was bang on perfect for my visit to a two-night concert at the Lincoln. The coffee shop was great.
It was a little bit difficult to climb into the top pod; I don’t know if I’d have rather been in a bottom one, but it would have been physically easier. The soap dispenser at the communal sink was out of soap for my entire stay.

The neighbourhood is very lively, days and night there are always people stopping at the station and walking on the streets. The metro exit is less than one minute from the hostel. I mentionned a time for check-in to the hostel however I arrived way later because of customs (2 hours ?!): the lady was very helpful thank God she was here to help check-in and to explain how to use the Goki app. The Goki app is useful: you can open doors of the hostel and of your shared room by one click. The toilets are shared among men and women in the same floor, but never had to wait for my turn (at least 2 toilets without sink + one toilet equipped with sink + 3 sinks in a row; showers were underground). Didn't feel cold even if the AC is always on, I closed my curtain and stayed warm and cozy. Bed and pillow are comfortable enough. There's private light in the walls with its buttons. WiFi is free and nice one. It's very convenient if you just want a place safe to sleep at small price for a few days. The lady receptionist helped me to book a cab from the hostel to the airport (dc yellow cab) as I was leaving very early in the morning. There are lockers inside the shared room with keys included (too small for a luggage it's just enough for small items like bags and jumpers). Just next to the lockers there are storage spaces to put the luggage whatever the size. If you want to store your luggage before check-in time or after check-out there is a big storage place in the reception floor for free. To visit, the subway is convenient as in less than 20 minutes you arrive at touristic places (Georgetown, Capitol, white house, Lincoln memorial, obelisk, museums). If you cross the street of the hostel there is a walgreens that have basic amenities and pharmacy. For breakfast I recommend "Butter Me Up" coffee shop (7 min walking in peaceful neighbourhood).
I had a bed on the top, so had to use the ladder. This ladder is basically steps. To jump from stairs to your bed you have to balance yourself to land correctly. And at morning I had to be extra focus. I recommend requesting a bed at the bottom. Also whatever move in the room it was amplified. I was in room 302 and there were at least 12 capsules, when a roomate was walking we could all hear the steps. I carried always my phone when going to bathroom, to open my room door easily. The inside of my capsule (49) had very few coffee drops on the walls.

Clean, great location, transit options nearby, balcony in room. This hostel is perfect for short stays and if you know you will spend more time outside than inside. I will continue to book this hostel unless I am in DC for more than 3 or 4 days. Just be mindful of yourself and your belongings and you will be fine.
Guests who don’t clean after themselves. It was only minor things like not flushing or leaving behind soap bottles in shower. The beds were fine, I just wanted the fan in the capsule to be stronger. No kitchen, not a big deal, but you will be ordering takeout for the majority of time.

The pods were really comfy with charging ports, a small table attached, reading light, and a mirror. There were enough storage racks outside the pods in the dorm. Additionally there was free wifi, internet cafe facilities, a beautiful common room area, a shared microwave and refrigerator on the second floor. There is a water dispenser. Shared washrooms were in the basement. They allow for keeping the luggage in the common area if you are reaching early before check in or leaving late after check out.
Even though they provide lockers inside the dorm, it can be opened by anyone as the password is set every time we have to open it but the dorm doors are secured with number locks.

This is a very affordable place in an expensive city. This was my first time sleeping in a pod. It’s a neat experience. It would’ve been a little easier if I weren’t on the top deck. I didn’t mind climbing down the steps, but I wasn’t sure if I was disturbing my neighbors. However, I didn’t hear any complaints. The showers were clean. The checkout was easy. It was great that the hostel was located so close to a metro stop.
It was hard to find a place to plug in my phone to charge it. There were not many outlets in the room, and the one I found was in a strange location behind a pod. It would be helpful if there was some instruction on how to acease outlets. The lighting by the shared sinks and mirrors was dim. It would be helpful to be able to turn on a brighter light, even if it weren’t on all the time. No one was unpleasant, but there was a strange vibe of no one talking much to each other either. That might just have been that particular mix of guess that night, but it felt weird. On the other hand, people left their luggage out, and there didn’t seem to be any question of doubting the trustworthiness of the other guests.

The check-in process was as described in emails, with the app working as expected (and very easily throughout the stay). The building is compact & nicely aged/maintained. The room was clean & well kept. Lockers had locks that were easy to program, a feature not seen often enough in inexpensive hostels. The pod felt relatively spacious. Moving into it via the small stairs was somewhat awkward but doable. Temperature inside the pod was moderate & noise levels were average for a hostel. The coffee shop in the lobby was a great lounge during my downtime & staff were kind. Checkout was easy, too. No adverse smells anyehere
The temperature of the room at night was frigid, but the pod remained okay. The pod had a sticker mimicking a clock that was an odd choice. The features were unlabeled, but I adapted to recall the uses of each button. The reading light was broken. The mattress was adequate, but on the thinner end of hostel beds. Shower area in the basement had only one working stall, but it did the job (could use more spots for clothing storage).

I love the technology from pressing the booking online and getting opened, and all was done through technology. To enter the room, I need a security code that is still online. I'm very much impressed to see something like that for the first time in America and I'm from Namibia 🇳🇦, in Africa and I wish such technology can be exported by you and Namibia import it to the country...I know that people will love it it and mostly the high number of students and sports and tourist. If you are willing to bring it to Namibia, I'm 120% ready to make a business with you.
One thing I want to advise you is that I wish you had a room that has such a bed alone without having a lit of them at once because some people want to stay alone. Next time, try to have individual sections for those that want private space and if you want to have high price than the other ones that are together then let it be and I know many people will love it.

Great location, right around the corner from metro station. Checkin was seamless, QR code guided you through self-checkin. Pods were comfy, rooms were quiet at night. Staff were so nice and accommodating. Cafe area was a nice vibe to just chill and lounge with other guests.
Common area floors creaked a little, scared of waking guests. My pod’s air vent needed cleaning, was dusty. But the room itself was air conditioned so I didn’t use it no worries.

Pods were clead and had a good sense of privacy, showers were great and lobby had great working/talking spots
Staff is 50/50, some are really friendly, engage in converstation and are genuinely interested in you. They go out of their way to help. Other staff don’t bother and spreak with full pride on their phone that they’re going to leave this “shit place”. Some don’t even say hello if you greet them at the lobby. Overal vibe between travellers was kind of awkward, lobby sure had some spots to talk, but there weren’t places to hang out and get to know each other

Very close to metro train. Clean bathrooms and bed linens. Friendly and professional staff. All my questions needs where answered and provided for. Iron and Iron board available. Washer and dryer. There was always toilet tissue, paper towels and soap available in bathrooms. Garbage was always changed. The atmosphere was safe and clean. Capsule was comfortable and clean. Temperature within the sleep areas was pleasant as throughout the facility.
There is normal wear and tear in the hostel it could use a revamp. The outside front of the hotel looks like an abandon building, not welcoming or pleasant to see.
