near capital lake, which i have walked as far around as possible. it’s within walking distance (for me) of the capital building and some cool old buildings and homes designed by washington state architects and historically significant architectural geniuses a really long time ago. i love history and this city has a lot of great places with old daguerreotype photographs from the 1840’s and up, as well as more modern photos and artwork from our territorial history. tomorrow, the 8th of december, is the annual holiday historic home tour, starting with an open house at the bigelow house museum, and a tour of the remaining homes of our state’s pioneering families.

Manny was very friendly during check in and check out. the breakfast was enjoyable and delicious. the room was clean. we would have loved to be there longer but we had places to go. in at 3 and out by 12 was so leisurely, not rushed. we had time to walk around the neighborhood and part of the lake. we would like to come again!! coffee and creamer in the lobby available in the evening was superb!

the bathtub was painted so while we could shower, a bath was out of the question. sink drained really slow. it seems like the stopper isn't appropriate. the fridge was real noisy. the toilet water seems too high, taking a while to flush and even having to flush twice to get it all down.

The room was comfortable with a beautiful view of Capitol lake. It was quiet and nice to have all the little things provided, coffee microwave and fridge, soaps and shamppoo in the batharoom. There were extra towels in the room, very nice! It was easy to use the parking garage and go right up to my room, also the security was very good.

The bed was a bit soft for my taste but I still slept well. Coffee at breakfast was weak but I do like my coffee strong.

It was close to everywhere we wanted to go, walking distance and we rarely drove. It was a cheaper option.

Our bathtub drain was broken so it didn’t drain properly during a shower but we still got to shower so not a big deal. There was a hallway visible from the parking lot that said “not to enter” because it was just filled with trash/garbage or work equipment from maintenance workers.

Nice staff. Hotel was older but was once one of the fancier ones in town. Excellent location. Great little shops nearby. Near the transit station and i walked from there. nice little columbian restaurant next door. close to capitol.

fitness center. And I think something went wrong with remote. I wish hotels would provide instructions because all remotes are different.

I was very close to the theatre that we were going to (within easy walking distance).

Slight noise issues with other guests and street noise. Some minor cosmetic issues with the room and building (divots in the wall, wall paper "running". We were unable to get hot water for showers in the morning, we did talk to the front desk and there seemed to be an issue with the plumbing. The water finally, after a long running time, got to lukewarm. The included breakfast was very short on any kind of protein.

The location was great -- close to the Uptown Grill and the Dancing Goats Cafe. Also very close to the Farmer's Market, the waterfront, and the Capitol. Also wanted to give a shout -out to "Manny" on the front desk. Extremely friendly and helpful!

We were not able to add heat in the room as it had been turned off for the summer.

This is our fifth time in this hotel so that should say enough. We would not be coming back if it was bad. It is not 5 star new hotel, but it is clean, good location, comfortable and good price... That is all that we need.. Sure, there are things that can be better like breakfast, few upadtes, or staff could be more friendly, but overall it's good. And that is not why I gave 8. It is not 10 because simply there are better hotels but this one is very good and we will come back again, I am sure.

The hotel felt very safe with the underground parking and security door to get in. The room was nice, the shower was great. The view was nice.

The breakfast was very sparse. Bread/bagels, cereal, apples. Nothing to put on the oatmeal i.e. raisins, brown sugar. Mini muffins. I know it's a "continental" but I've seen way better. But I guess it keeps the price down, so it's a trade off.

Location! My husband and I booked there to see the parade that weekend. The hotel was on the parade route. Super easy.

The refrigerator in the room. Room 704. So incredibly loud. Couldn't keep the air conditioning system on because it was also very loud but luckily the weather was ok. I needed the refrigerator otherwise I would have unplugged it. Very very loud refrigerator.
