The room and bathroom were clean and quiet. The beefy towels were a pleasant surprise. The location was perfect for all the places I walked to. I found the room decor to be dark and the carpet had a busy pattern. Not my favorite but more important to have everything clean.

When I checked in you told me you would put a $100 hold on my credit card for incidentals. But what was really charged to my card were 2 charges: 1) the full price of the room plus $100 *AND* THE FULL CHARGE FOR THE ROOM ALREADY CHARGED TO MY CARD. So 2 charges are on my card, one for $637 and one for $737. And I am still waiting 4 days later for the $737 one to drop off since you confirmed to me on checkout that I had no incidental charges.

As this was my second visit to Seattle, I took advantage of the free bike rentals to go visit some neighbourhoods I hadn't been to before. The bikes were awesome - light weight and 16 speed with easy gear changes, so even though Seattle is hilly in places, they bikes were easy to use. The hotel itself is clean, staff super friendly. It's really close (walking distance) to Pike Market, Westlake Shopping Center, lots of other things.

The blackout curtain was great, but would like to also have a curtain that lets in some light while blocking the view into the window (some of the rooms look into each other's windows across the alley/courtyard).

This is a very cozy and clean boutique hotel within walking distance to the Space Needle, the Climate Pledge Arena, and Pike Place. My room was actually nicer than the photos. You can walk down to the harbor and stroll along the Elliot Bay Trail. The staff were kind, knowledgable, and accommodating. It was very convenient to have a kitchenette area so I did not need to go out to eat for every meal. There are small neighborhood grocery stores within a couple blocks and a Whole Foods about 8 blocks away.

There are a number of people living on the street in this area, but there are also a lot of public works employees cleaning up and a hard-to-miss police presence. I never saw or experienced anything threatening nor dangerous.

Location

They charged a fee of $100 on checking in. This was on top of the price agreed. No mention of this on Booking.com. They said it was to cover any damages and that it would be returned in 5 business days. Not at all happy with this practice.

Perfect location, you can walk everywhere, the staff were so helpful with dinner & activity recommendations and great value for money given the location - easy access to sights & public transport.

The staff were wonderful, the rooms were great, and I love the hotel. The neighborhood is a mix. I had no problem at all, but some people feel a bit uncomfortable in the area. If you’re not used to a very urban area with urban problems then you might not want to stay here. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

The hotel was in a good location and the rooms were really clean and comfortable.

This hotel does NOT offer any parking despite the description in the ad. They will charge you extra money with tax on top to park in a location away from the hotel. Anyone can book this for themselves for cheaper than what the hotel charges. Also, they wanted 30 dollars per night for parking when it is actually free to park outside the hotel overnight. The manager blamed it on booking.com.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Bell-town Inn. The staff was kind and always at disposal for any need: taxis, info about the city, room services ... The whole structure is very clean: the sheets, towels and the room are really well maintained. The building is near the city center and there was no need to take the public transport to reach the most touristic zones.

I think that the price is too high with respect to other hotels in that zone. Additionally, even thought I didn't have any problems when getting back to my room, there presence of strange individuals on the street made me feel a little bit uncomfortable.

Staff were great and friendly. The property itself while it’s a bit dated, it’s kept in good shape and most importantly, it’s clean. The room was nice and comfortable, nothing to brag about and nothing to complain about. We are used to walking and could find anything a short walk from the hotel.

Not the hotel’s fault, but the area surrounding the hotel along 3rd ave is not Seattle’s best. However, it’s easily avoidable if you walk along 1st, 2nd or 4th avenue and then turn on Bell St to reach the hotel. Yes, there’s homelessness and maybe addicts on the streets of Seattle (everywhere), and also some not happy smells, but we never felt unsafe walking around.

The staff was top-notch. We had several questions throughout our stay and every time the staff was more than helpful and friendly! Morning coffee in the lobby was a nice perk. The kitchenette in the room and the rooftop seating area were nice extras. We were able to walk to Pike Place market, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Seattle space needle easily. And there were lots of restaurants in the area.

There were creaky floors like an old house when someone would walk above us. So that was odd. And you do hear quite a bit of hallway noise. Otherwise, the only downside was the city of Seattle has a major homeless problem. So you see that here but you also see that everywhere you go in the city. No one bothered us so I would just say be aware.
