We have stayed at the property many times over the years and the renovations have really brought this place back to life. We had a preference for building and room location and we were very pleased they were able to accommodate our request. The weather was very hot and there were many family groups evident but we always found a good spot by the pool when we wanted to cool down for a while. The AC was very efficient on the hot days and we loved the river view and chance to sit outside and enjoy the warm evenings. We will be back.

It was very a very busy week so the front desk was often lined up and parking was difficult at times. Using the online options for partial check in and checking out really helped and it will be better when more guests use these features. The parking spots are quite large and it's irritating when other guests take parts of 2 spaces. This is not the motel's fault, I just needed to rant about inconsiderate guests. Please, don't be one of them!

Check-in staff were friendly and responsive; facilities were clean and well kept. We stayed in a first floor room with two queen beds and a patio facing the river; the room was ample for the two of us and our dog. We were there in July which provided a lovely view of the river. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable and provided great sleep. There's an onsite restaurant, Osprey, that we dined at twice; once for Saturday brunch and the other for late light dinner & a frozen cocktail. The service and food were great and the frozen cocktail was perfectly suited for the warm evening on the dining patio facing the river. We plan to stay again.

I'd somehow been booked for 2 rooms through a 3rd party service but didn't notice because of the way the emails were structured. The staff were very understanding (wish i could name him, I checked in at around 2:30 Aug 4) and got me in the room i wanted, even though I was early. After I'd finally got through to Bookings.com, the staff took care of my refund right away. Bar staff were also amazing.

Resaurant refused us room service in my friends room, claiming they "were too busy with customers" and "might run out of food" Looked like there were different menu options depending on the time of day though

The beds were very comfortable and the shower was nice and roomy. There were lots of amenities. There is a family fun area that has it's own pool. I wish that families with younger kids would have taken their kids to that pool rather than the pool that has a bar and hot tub. That seemed like it was designed for adults and older kids but everyone used it so it wasn't as pleasant for the adults, which I noticed other reviewers mention. It wasn't a huge deal, as the setup was generally very nice.

The sheets on one of the beds were very old and scratchy. I'd recommend that the hotel just discard sheets once they get in that condition.

Clean, modern, and spacious room. Cool vibe, good shower, and easy parking. Right on the river walking/biking path, which was nice and relaxing. Be sure to request a river facing room if they have it available. The main pool and pool area was really nice, with tons of seating and umbrellas for shade. Towels provided at the pool. The deep end is fairly shallow (4.5 feet), so be careful. I cut my foot on the pool floor because I didn't realize just how shallow that is. But the kids loved it. Large hot tub too.

Included breakfast might have been nice, but otherwise it was great.

Great location, clean modern room. Poolside was very nice great for families. Staff was friendly and responsive to needs. Pool and outdoor area very relaxing and well maintained. Staff works very hard to keep it clean. Very close to lots of attractions right on the river close to Gonzaga.

Weekends very crowded with pool parties large groups for sports events. Was very rowdy at pool, over capacity and went on past midnight ( after pool closed at 11:00). Might be good for management or security to patrol the area at night and remind guest of facility rules.

The Ruby River is a lovely place to stay in Spokane. The location is great, it’s super clean, has comfy beds and nice rooms. The pool is great, especially if you have kids. There is a good restaurant on site, and it’s a short walk to the river park. We were there for a concert at One Spokane stadium, and it was perfect for us.

It’s not a cheap place to stay by any means. I don’t think it’s overpriced, and to us it was very worth it. I’m just saying that if you need inexpensive accommodations, this may not be the place for you.

We have been to spokane a few times over the years and after staying at the Ruby River we will likely never stay anywhere else again. It ticked all of our boxes. The staff were very friendly. The room was a good size, we had a little patio (not private) that looked out over the rose garden and river, and it was fairly clean. Bed were pretty comfortable. Took us some time to figure out where the fridge and microwave were hidden but glad we had them as these are a must when traveling with kids. The amentities at this hotel were exactly what we needed. The pool was clean and fairly large plus it never really got that busy. The playground is tiny but my toddler was so thrilled as we have never stayed at a hotel with a park and she was so missing parks as we traveled. Breakfast was a limited selection but everyone in our group was able to find something they liked.The restaurant staff were AMAZING. It is a bit hard to get into this restaurant on the day of (no fault of theirs) but we were so happy we got in even if it was late in the evening. The staff were so good with my toddler, offered us some berries and cream to occupy her, interacted with her each time they passed our table, and never once made us feel bad about her behavior when she got a bit tired and crabby. The food was AMAZING. The menu is small but every single dish we ordered was a hit. We wanted a light meal so the smaller portion sizes were actually perfect for us. My mother who is very very particular and never impressed by food had the salmon puff pastry and is still talking about it! I have a gluten allergy so my options were limited but the tempura shrimp dish was incredible. If you stay at this hotel, please do yourself a favor and make reservations for this restaurant! You will not be disappointed! We 100% will be back. We are also still amazed at the price of this place considering how great it is!

I don't have any complaints about this hotel. The only thing that was a slight negative was that there was a used lipstick in the corner by the bed that must have been missed during cleaning that my toddler nearly ate. Luckily not the worst thing to be missed! But still not great. Otherwise the room did seem really clean to us!

The outdoor pool was great! Good hot tub, very nice pool area. The location was good, easy to get everywhere, by car, not sure about walking. Bathroom was clean but could use a good scrub in the corners. The room was well set up, with a fridge, but no safe. Lots of places to put your stuff.

Previous reviews mention that the bed sheets don’t fit the bed well, and that’s still true. The beds aren’t great either, they’re fine for a few nights though.

The amenities were really great. Being on the river was fantastic. I loved the pool, the hot tub, the restaurant, and dog park and the fact that the front desk text me so I was able to easily text them to ask questions or send any requests!

The room smelled pretty strongly like cleaning chemicals and the bathroom was SO small. There wasn't a lot of room to hang anything up or move things out of the way in there.
