The staff was very friendly: they made sure I knew about all the amenities of the hotel (including the shuttle to the casino nearby). I liked that it was in the middle of things but still quiet and I had a nice view of a tree instead of the busy street. The attached restaurant is great.

I didn't like that there was smoking in the lounge. Luckily I requested a room far away from the smoke and wasn't bothered by it, but the lobby smelled strongly of it. I also came down on the later side for breakfast and the only thing available was half a bagel and some meat (I'm a vegetarian). I had been looking forward to the free breakfast, so I was disappointed I wasn't able to partake.

The room was perfect! I would have liked an "inside" room better, but I felt safe where I was, and safety's most important. The room was very spacious and comfortable for reading and sleeping. The breakfast area was very nice with plenty of sitting room for everyone.

The shower is the tiniest little thing! It works, but there is very little room for movement in it! :) I am not handicapped, but I need a walk-in shower. Being elderly, I am afraid of falling getting in and out of a tub. The lighting in the bathroom wasn't that great for putting on makeup. I would have liked a greater variety of breakfast foods to choose from - cereal, grits, sweet rolls, etc. Maybe those items were there, and I just didn't see them. The orange juice was great, didn't taste "watered-down" like some hotels. The coffee was perfect! You can't please everyone, but you did a great job overall!

The breakfast was very good for a hotel breakfast. The room was very big and the king bed was clean and comfortable. We did eat at the restaurant on site and if you are able I highly recommend. The bar down stairs is nice after coming back from the casino and definitely try the wings down there. The shuttle was very nice to go to the casino and drops you right off at the front of the casino and runs till 2 am with pick ups every 10 to 15 minutes. Overall I would recommend this establishment to anyone for a stay there in charlestown. Even for being in town the noise was at a minimum and not loud in the room even with the casino right behind you.

We’ve stayed here multiple times and we will continue to choose this location for our casino trips. The staff is always amazing. Beds are comfortable. Food and bar onsite and the shuttle to the casino is a must.

We’ve booked several stays here. We’ve always had a great time. This time the bathroom wasn’t as clean as I would’ve liked it to be. Other than that no complaints.

The location was perfect to the casino where we attended a show and short distances from other places we wanted to visit. The shuttle available to ride to the casino was perfect due to the number of cars parked in the area. There is a restaurant and lounge on the premises. Great value for a weekend getaway.

The lighting in the room could have been a little better. Tub was a little high to get in and out of since I'm a short person. It might help to have hand rails.

Did not feel like we paid to much. Location was close to highway so easy to get anywhere we were headed. Near casino and next to another hotel but still a quiet stay. Breakfast was tasty, but not much choice. Room was large & clean, but had old dingy motel vibe, smelled like cheap car air freshener. Clean your cpap filter and run it before you use it back home. Shower was strong and plenty of hot water. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Restaurant attached is a definite, great food & service.

New carpet would improve the feel of the place. It is too dark and a weird pattern that gives an impression of old and yucky. Repair holes in slider. If that smell of old car freshener is supposed to be an air freshener use something unscented.

Dwight, the General Manager and his entire staff could not be any nicer. Room was very clean comfortable. We like staying there because it is close to the Casino and has fantastic restaurant called Alfredo's that has an awesome menu, The property also have a cute little bar downstairs but it can get a little smoky. They offer a daily Happy Hour and you meet a lot of nice locals there. Hope and her staff are fantastic.

Breakfast Needs To Be Improved. Get rid of sausage gravy, and current style of eggs that were not very tasty. Offer Scrambled eggs or hard boiled eggs, keep the waffles and add individual boxes of cereal, a nice selection of Danish pastries, fresh Bagels and Cream Cheese . Sweet rolls or Donuts would be very nice.

Went down to WV from new york for a non-profit event. Hotel was super close to the event site at maxwell park. Restaurant there, alfredo's, had no problem seating a short-notice party of 8, and the food was amazing.

Lobby is pushing slots. Bar/tavern downstairs REEKS of cigarrette smoke. Parking is shared with the longer-term hotel/suites next door. Had trouble parking after my event let out, and we decided to head back to the hotel restaurant to eat.

This location was perfect. Lots of activities nearby, close to historic downtown Charles Town, restaurants, and grocery stores. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

I wasn't a fan of the pillows. They were really flat and I'd definitely bring my own pillow next time.

I ordered room service ( a bottle of wine) and it was delivered promptly. Very impressive! I also loved the ability to step out of the hotel and get an immediate ride to the casino, allowing me to not worry about parking or traffic.

This is my wife's and mine third stay at this hotel. It has been the hotel of choice when we go to Charlestown, WV. I can't think of anything that I didn't like.
