We loved the whole concept of having a common kitchen and living area. Both had very attractive contemporary design and were comfortable and enjoyable spaces. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and well furnished, with excellent appliances. This is so much better than having just a single dinky microwave (or worse, coffee-maker so you can't heat up anything other than coffee) in your room with a sad little minibar.

The manager was a bit too chatty and a tiny bit intrusive. He was obviously excited for and very proud of the property (with good reason!) but maybe read the room a little bit and not stay and chat over the show we are watching? Still, that's a tiny complaint and an overly friendly manager is a good problem to have.

Great concept with communal kitchen and lounge space. Great staff and loved meeting the owner. Very comfortable beds, and thoughtful makeover of a heritage building. Very well appointed room and bathroom.

Clearer instructions for the cooktop would have been good. Emergency shutoff on range hood had been turned off but instructions didn’t cover this so had to call staff member for help. He came quickly and sorted it for us. If I had been travelling alone, I’m not sure I would have liked having to dress and go to the communal kitchen just to make a cup of tea. No kettle or coffee in the room.

The common area on the floor was beautiful and made it so homey. Having a full kitchen was great for heating up leftovers or just enjoying a beverage in between activities. The room itself was large, the bed was so comfortable, and everything was super clean. It was just a short walk from tons of great restaurants and a large indoor market with tons of little spots to grab a cocktail or something to eat. Having a code to get in and out made it so much easier than having to remember a key card. The concept of this hotel is great, and I hope more places like this open up around the country.

There was a sign left in the kitchen to "enjoy your complimentary glass of wine" or something similar, but we didn't locate any wine or anything of the sort.

The location is amazing, and the concept of this guest house is so cool and so unique! The style of the place is exceptional, it was so nice to put our baby down in our room and then hang out in the common spaces before we went to bed. The complimentary coffee and cereal was a cherry on top!

It was very loud outside Friday night until ~2am, since our room was on the corner with lots of window we heard all the noise from the outside and it was hard to sleep. Also the bed and pillows were not as comfortable as I hoped. The valet was sometimes no where to be found and even though we requested the car through the app ahead of time it was not ready.

Amazing location! beautiful design. loved kitchen and complimentary items there. The on-site manager was very friendly. Not sure if it was he who i initially emailed with?

Slippers and water bottles in room would have been nice. Softer towels…they were really stiff and scratchy. Moisturizer and other toiletries like mouthwash in the bathroom. Also my first communication with the property was not the best. I inquired about the bedding and received a curt response….no “We are glad you’ve chosen to spend your holiday weekend with us” or “ We look forward to welcoming you”. Communication, and especially the initial communication is very important in hospitality.

This hotel was really nice. We loved the kitchen and common area; we weren't sure how we would feel about sharing common space with other guests but it was comfortable and worked out great. The complimentary coffee/teas in the kitchen were great. We appreciated having a section of the refrigerator to put our cold stuff in. The room was nice and very large so if a guest didn't like the common areas that guest could just stay in his/her room and be happy. Bathrooms were nice and had toiletries for use. Check in/out was easy. We were only there for a brief stay overnight but will definitely stay again when in the Milwaukee area.

I would highly recommend anyone visiting Milwaukee to stay at Kinn Guesthouse. The location is so central and perfect for exploring by both foot and transport. The bedroom, bathroom and shared spaces were extremely clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Michael was so welcoming and really went above and beyond during our stay - thank you again! We were a little apprehensive about booking Kinn Guesthouse after reading some of the comments that highlighted issues with checking in and poor WiFi. However from start to finish, this was never an issue. The process they have in place is so seamless and WiFi strength was strong. After checking out, Rosa was able to store our luggage so we could do some last minute exploring until it was time to leave for our train to Chicago.

We experienced an issue with Booking.com while we were travelling which was a little stressful but Michael got it resolved for us so efficiently and communicated everything so well via email and text. This was very much appreciated and so reassuring.

The quality and the styling of the property far exceeded my expectations. The kitchen and the common spaces were outfitted with high end appliances (subzero, wolf) and extremely chic styling. Internet speed was sufficient for a day of video calls. The coffee bar was stocked with a nespresso, french press, a wide selection of teas, as well as dairy and non-dairy (!) milks. On the weekend, we were pleasantly surprised by the pastries in the morning, and the wine in the evening. In room, loved the Brooklinen washcloths, but wish all the towels had been brooklinen! Contactless checkin was super easy, as we arrived pretty late.

Dishes seemed to pile up in the sink regularly because the dish washer was full, no one knew whether the dishes were clean or dirty, and who was responsible for unloading. Most of the house rules were clearly stated, but responsibility/expectations for the dishwasher could be improved. The high-tech locks on the room were not intuitive to 'wake up'. You must cover the entire lock with your hand in order for the buttons to illuminate.

Everything! We were greeted at the door with info about the hotel and recommended places to see and given an early check in. Each floor has a full kitchen and two comfortable lounge areas to play games or eat in. Complimentary wine and coffee around the clock along with snacks and french pastries brought in fresh to each floor every morning. Gorgeous rooms with high ceilings and arched windows overlooking downtown. Bathrooms are large and luxurious with specialty toiletries. Tons of storage space. Beds are some of the most comfortable we have come across in all our many travels. It was so quiet and there were families with small children on our floor. It was so nice to meet and talk with other guests during our stay. We will be back next time we are in Milwaukee! What a FABULOUS stay!!

We LOVED everything!

I traveled with my teen to Milwaukee to see a concert at the Riverside theater and we were blown away by the guest house, it’s amenities, and how central it was to everything we wanted to do. We parked our van in the pay lot across the street and didn’t get back in it until we checked out. Milwaukee Public Market, dinner, brunch, all of it was right there and a short walk to all. We enjoyed cruising past all of the folks waiting for ride services after the show and we’re in our very cozy beds within minutes. The rooms are beautiful- we loved the very tall ceilings and decor. The rooms were very quiet, as well, and temperature very well regulated. Bathrooms are beautiful and spacious. The only issue we had was that water leaked out of the shower onto the floor- but we just set a towel on the edge of the shower and it solved it. We loved the 11am check out and that we could still access the building (and restrooms) and our floor until 4pm that day which was helpful when we were still doing some walking around downtown. Such a cool place to stay. Will definitely be back!
