Great location. Nice restaurant with good service. Friendly young staff.

There was a dangerous floor to ceiling window in my son’s room that opened directly out on to the street about 3 metres below. The window was of a type that the building code would not allow in many countries. We told reception the window lock (to prevent smaller children than my son opening it and falling out) was broken and this was a real serious injury hazard but unfortunately nothing was done to fix the problem.

The hotel has a lovely mixed style of ethnic and modern elements. The cleaning, reception and spa staff was very helpful and professional. The kitchen personnel was particularly kind. We also had 2 original cocktails from the bar that were delicious. Excellent stay and will definitely recommend it to our friends!

Overall that was a good stay. Modern hotel built in Bukhara heritage eastern style a-la Aladdin fairytale. There is a beautiful garden at the inner yard where you can spend some time with cup of tea or coffee in a quiet relaxing atmosphere. It is located not far from the heart of historical old town (10 minutes walk). I can easily recommend the hotel for couple of days trip to Bukhara.

Mercure service still needs to be injected in this new hotel across many parameters. Breakfast is rather poor, rooms feel like empty with no charm. Staff requires more training to comply with Mercure standards (we ordered transfer to airport from frontdesk, as taxi cars in Bukhara are far from normal expectations, and then we realized that transfer is not arranged at the time of pick up ;( ). Fortunately standard taxi came in 5 minutes but I was forced to ride with luggage on my knees on the front seat 😀, nice experience. I guess the hotel of such level from worldwide chain should buy an own car and provide a transfer service to their customers (I am sure there are many people who can easily pay 20 USD for good level transfer on premium comfortable safe car to airport/railway station).

Was hesitating between this and Wyndham , ended up with Mercure and did not regret for a sec! A beautiful design - modern yet with local authenticity. Very comfortable beautiful rooms with excellent bathroom and walk in shower. Amazing spa ! We had full body massages and they were so good! And stuff at the hotel go above and beyond to make the stay comfortable and are very professional , polite and friendly. There is also a restaurant on the top floor which is one of the top rated in Bukhara, but if you want something really authentic and local - there is this famous Kurutob place just around the corner which serves one Tadjik national dish which is absolutely delicious! It’s also very affordable. We ended up going there several times! The walk to the main tourist attraction places is about 15-20 min through the old medina along the narrow road with cars, which is not super comfortable and not for everyone perhaps. We only did it once, as wanted to explore the real medina life, all other times we used taxis which are cheap in Bukhara and there are plenty .

There are some bits of mosaic tiles missing in the pool by the jacuzzi area, which is a bit sharp if stepped on accidentally. Would be great for this to get repaired . Otherwise- everything was perfect!

This property is a 10-15 minute walk from the main sights, with a good rooftop restaurant showing some of them. Reception staff were all very helpful & efficient. Room was very comfortable & to a high standard. My husband loved the restaurants Chicken Caesar salad. Local bakery & small stores near by. Plus an ATM.

Restaurant was completely inflexible when catering for my dietary needs following a dodgy tummy. Feel they could have improved a lot of this. Different staff were consistently the same about this so obviously a hotel policy not to really care when someone staying there is not 100 percent. Previously hotel in Uzbek could not have done enough to help!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mercury Buhara Old Town Hotel, and we can confidently say it exceeded all our expectations! The hotel is beautifully located in the heart of the old town, making it easy to explore the rich history and vibrant culture of the area. The charming architecture and warm ambiance create a welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, with stunning views of the insight patio. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. **A Special Note About Manager Timur** We must extend a heartfelt thanks to Manager Timur, who truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Timur was incredibly welcoming and attentive, offering personalized recommendations for local attractions and dining. His passion for hospitality is evident, and he genuinely cares about each guest's experience. Timur’s dedication and kindness made our stay at the Mercury Buhara Old Town Hotel particularly special. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty and history of the area while enjoying outstanding service and comfort.

Everything was great. They even gave one of the room late check out.

What we didn’t like was that out of the three rooms we booked, we lost cosmetics from two of them, including a face wash and a Chanel face cream. When we asked the frontdesk to check, they said another guest had already checked into the rooms. However, the rooms would have been cleaned before given to new guests, and if the cleaning was done, the cosmetics left behind in the bathrooms would have been noticed.

The reception staff went out of the way to help. Everyone spoke excellent English. Faig Bayramov, who is actually rooms division manager, but happened to be at reception, went all out to help with my constraints related with my elderly mother and young son. Breakfast wax excellent and staff was courteous. Spa lady was super enthusiastic. The gentleman at the door helped carrying my heavy luggage and my handbags upto my room with a huge smile.. it felt as though everyone loves their job and it's one big family and we are welcome into it :-) pool settings felt as though in a palace

If only I had planned more days in Bukhara, I could have stayed longer

New hotel able to immerse you in the magic atmosphere of Bukhara. Very clean, small but functional gym, nice SPA, tasty restaurant (food is amazing). The hotel is very cozy, the location is really comfortable (10 mins by car from the center).

No possibility to have breakfast “à-la-carte”, only drinks, which is a huge minus if you don’t want to have breakfast at the buffet. Unfortunately the view from the terrace of the restaurant is not good. No possibility to walk to the center since the main street (Samarkand Street) is very small with no pedestrian area and many cars.

Staff everywhere were friendly, responsive, and professional ... level of English was quite good. The hotel was nicely designed, clean, and well-maintained (though see below). It's an attractive, modern hotel designed to have a traditional look. Our room (we upgraded to a premium room) was large, comfortable, clean, and well-maintained... nice inner balcony area, but you'll only want to use it at night (and it looks onto other rooms). Room service food was excellent.

Quite expensive relative to local pricing and what you get. Our first room had a strong odour (and when we arrived, the door was open so I think they were trying to air it out). The room was also below the breakfast area, so at 7am, we were awakened by the constant shuffling of heavy chairs on the wooden floor above our heads. We asked to be moved to the next room over, which solved the sound issue, but there was still an odour in the room (which also had its door left open for airing). Range of food available for breakfast was very limited, especially given this price range. The hotel is situated on the very edge of the old town -- nothing to see/do in one direction, and quite a walk to historical sites and restaurants.
