Fantastic staff! We left our bags at the hotel during a Ha Long Bay cruise and again on the day of check out. We also got to shower after check out at the spa before our flight which we really appreciated after a day in the city. Breakfast has lots of options, location if great and rooms are spacious and clean.

Had a bit of an uncomfortable situation at the spa when the spa staff told us to tip and then told us our tip was "very small". We had given them all the cash we had left as we were just about to head to the airport and leave Vietnam. It made us feel very uncomfortable and soiled the spa experience a bit.

Excellent stay overall, modern facilities which was in contrast to other hotels we visited in Hanoi.

The choices available during breakfast were a bit limited, which is why the hotel gets a 9/10. Having said that, the breakfast was still much better than any other place we stayed at in Hanoi.

Hotel staff were amazing. Always ready to help and with a smile. Room very clean and bed linen and towels changed daily. Reception is happy to give tips/advice and arrange trips, taxi’s etc. Not too noisy but in the middle of the “Old Quarter” so everything is nearby. Frankly, hard to fault! Highly recommended!

The staff were so helpful and attentive, the Reception is manned 24hrs a day and someone is always there to give a good restaurant recommendation or a translation if you need. The room was so, so quiet- we were a bit worried about all the scooter and street noise, but the room couldn't have been more peaceful. Also, we really loved the soft mattress and powerful shower.

*Perfect location, warm and friendly staff* The hotel is in a great location and everything you want to see in Hanoi is within walking distance or a short cab ride away. The room was comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast was delicious and had great Vietnamese options. The staff were warm and friendly, especially Chloe who arranged our ride from the airport (we landed at 2am) and back, had a chat with us each day during breakfast, arranged our trip to Ha Long Bay and helped us with some friendly tips like where to find ATMs. In fact, all the staff members were kind and helpful, like the other daytime front office manager who helped us choose a day trip (to Ninh Binh) and the restaurant staff who even sliced and packed our fruits in a box for our day trip!

The place is very welcoming and Chloe took very good care of us. The location of the hotel is superb with everything in old Quarter within 1 kms radius. Will definitely recommend for the services and a great deal in heart of old Quarter.

The enterance is easy to miss but that the case with majority of the hotels in old Quarter

Perfect location near Bahn Mi 25, Beer Street and the Weekend night market. We had a good stay with support from Chloe and Layla. They have a big room, decent amenities and a clean bed.

The hotel refused to accept card payments and opted for hard cash even though we are willing to pay a 4% card processing fee. This is very annoying since Viet Nam ATMs only allow you to withdraw max 2,000K (+ 55K withdrawal fee). I hope the hotel is more friendly with digital/card payments for the rest of the guests in the future. The hotel and rating name are confusing - on Google "Garden Boutique Hotel & Spa (3-star hotel)" while on Booking.com "Hanoi Garden Hotel & Spa (4-star hotel)"

Great location, excellent service. Chloe and Ben are very nice people, they went above and beyond and did everything we asked for. They also made us breakfast to go when we checked out 7 in the morning, which was really thoughtful and sweet.This hotel is at central location and very close to all the tourist attractions in Hanoi. They also have decent breakfast spread. Excellent spa service.Banh Mi 25 is just around the corner.I would definitely recommend this hotel for a family, couple, friends and solo travelers.

Property is a bit dated, renovation required in near future. But it’s not really a negative thing I would say about them, just a recommendation perhaps to bring more business for the hotel.

The staff were fantastic, such a nice team who were attentive and made sure we were well looked after (even before we arrived). Every day Chloe would check in on us and see if we needed any assistance or if we had plans. We could not fault the service we received. The location of the property is great, within walking distance of pretty much everything you need in Hanoi. Bedrooms were spacious and clean with all the necessary amenities and we had a small balcony. There wasn't a huge breakfast offering, but sufficient for the size of the property.

The ladies who work at the hotel were amazing, they were so welcoming and warm in their service. Massive shout-out to Chloe who was so helpful and informative from start to end of booking. She reached out immediately after booking for pre-arrival service and helped us to book excursions to Ha Long Bay and Sapa as well. They also prepared a packed breakfast because we left very early on day of departure.

Man on reception who handled payment for hotel was very rude and unhelpful during process. Had to ask another hotel guest to swap change because he didn't have enough money on hand. I also asked him for a cup of hot water as I didn't want to use the kettle in the room and I quote him directly, he said 'that is definitely not going to happen.' Shame he is not on level with the female staff in the hotel.
