Great breakfast, do it early before 9am because they don't refill the food when it's gone. Plenty great restaurant nearby. Try local dessert nearby. Front desk staff speak fluent English. On site laundry is 50k per kilo. Water pressure and sink drainage work well. No car can enter the street after 7pm. We had to walk with our suitcases about 100 m to main street to get taxi to airport.

Hidden fee of 3% for credit card payment. This fee should have been disclosed when making reservation. Swimming pool is very cold :-(

The hotel is centrally located in the Old Town. Everywhere is walking distance. It’s right in the centre of the action. The rooms, however, are quiet. Not so quiet that you can’t hear the tooting of horns, but quiet enough. The rooms very very clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was good. The reception staff are lovely and friendly. The pool area is lovely. Miss Kym and her team on the tour desk could not to enough for us. They were amazing. We will be back to Hanoi and back to Hotel Nostalgia. We highly recommend

We have booked everything through them( taxis, Halong Bay cruise, Ninh Binh excursion)! Thuy and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate and arrange an amazing stay for us, and they succeeded... can't recommend them enough specially traveling with a child, you need this kind of services, kindness and support. Amazing location with walking distance to most of the must see visit points. Absolutely amazing! Thank you Hanoi Nostalgia Hotel! We loved staying with you!

It can be little noisy, but it's so common in Hanoi, not the hotel fault at all! Its the price you pay to stay in the heart of the Old Quarter!

This was a lovely, little hotel, in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the action! We arrived late in the evening, so our driver dropped us about a block and a half away from the hotel, since the street in front of the hotel is blocked to cars after 7 PM, but the hotel sent a staff member to help us with our bags and find the hotel. Very much appreciated! We had a nice room with a great balcony on the third floor, which gave us a birds eye view of all the crazy happenings down on Beer Street. We immediately went down to have a bite to eat and a couple of Bia Hoi beers, which is common in Hanoi as a fresh beer and is super cheap. Do try some of these. The location in the old Quarter is great as it is very central to most of the attractions that you want to be able to walk to. Make sure you visit the train street at a time when the train goes by, we went for the evening one that goes between seven and eight. The pool is small, but very refreshing after a day of wandering all over town! The breakfast was very plentiful with an egg station and various European and Asian items to choose from. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our room with a balcony in the front of the hotel, Just know that you might need earplugs. My husband can sleep through anything but not me!

The hotel is clean, comfortable and in a great location. The staff were exceptionally good. Especially Kim and Lu were very helpful even before check-in. They arranged tours well below market rates. They treat you as one of their family members. Speak good English. The buffet breakfast is decent. The pool is small but my kids loved the waves. Highly recommended to others. Since it is in the heart of the old quarter everything is nearby. You can walk to all the places of interest in Hanoi.

The things that I listed below aren't my concerns but it may be a deal breaker for some others. 1. Since it is in the heart of the old quarter, night time noise level is high till midnight. Especially the rooms with a balcony. 2. Rooms are a bit small compared to other hotels.

An incredibly competent desk at the reception lobby which would advice you and help to anything you want. Best I have met in any hotel so far (the number exceeds 100 for sure). The sweet ladies with excellent English were most friendly and helpful. We took wisely all their advices seriously and followed them, thank god. Very good breakfast, clean, comfortable. Our room was at the back. Otherwise the Ha Noi traffic chaos would have made us suffer.

There is a pool. The size of it is comparable to a postmark or two placed together. When you get out in the evening you have to hope that you will survive the typical Viet Nam traffic. But one gets used to the fact that they have 60 mil motorcycles on 80 milion inhabitants.

Lovely hotel with really helpful staff. We stayed on two occasions a few days apart - first time in balcony room and second time at the rear. Definitely a much quieter night at the rear but no complaints as staff were very upfront about the noise being an issue for some people in the front rooms. Also, I guess that’s the price you pay for being right in the heart of the city. Would definitely recommend the hotel. Breakfast selection also great and reception staff organised takeaway breakfast for us on our last day when we had an early checkout.

The staff here are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are AMAZING! Location is excellent - right in the heart of the Old Quarter and easy walking distance to many attractions. The rooftop garden area is a nice escape!

The rooms were a bit dated and definitely not soundproof!! We were on the 'quiet' side, which was still pretty noisy - but that may just be the same anywhere in the Old Quarter! The swimming pool was really cold and needed a good clean - it looks a lot nicer in the pictures than in real life!
