The staff and facility are outstanding

If you stay in a room under the restaurant, Floor 7, you can hear the chairs moving above.

We visited the hotel late October and early November 2024. The hotel is located at the Old Quarter. The location is great because there are endless options of restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, money exchange and points of interest around and nearby. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are clean with great water pressure and you are provided with everything you would need. Our booking included breakfast. The hotel restaurant is on the 8th floor and we had breakfast there every day. They provide you local and continental breakfast options through an open buffet. The food is really good. They also serve dinner and again their food is quite good. There is a Sky Bar on the 9th floor with beautiful views of the Old Quarter. They have a great selection of cocktails. It was nice sitting there at the end of a tiring day. The Spa is in the basement level of the hotel. It is very calm and relaxing there. And the massage and treatments are really good with reasonable prices. We had 90 minutes of herbal massage and treatments. We have traveled a lot in the region at almost all Indochina countries. Many hotels have similar amenities. The real difference makers are the staff. I have nothing but praise for the staff of JM Marvel. From our first moment to the last they were excellent. They were extremely kind, calm, collected and helpful. They made our time in Hanoi much better with recommendations and suggestions. All the staff of the hotel from front desk to cleaners to kitchen staff to waiters deserve the praise. Our main contact person was Mr Dinh An Ny (known as Ny to us). He helped and guided us a lot in person and through WhatsApp. It was thanks to him we discovered some great local food places and didn't miss any must-see attractions. We took his advice for the day trips to Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay and things couldn't be better. All in all, a great hotel and wonderful staff. 10/10 would stay again.

Walls in the rooms are a bit thin so you can hear anything outside your room, when people come and go

So the girls and boys were just amazing. At the reception, at the restaurant, they are so, so helpful, sometimes even too worried if everything is ok. Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is freshly made, wide decision from a la carte, and location is just amazing. We did storage a luggage for a day, when we continue our way in the evening, and even take a shower before pick up luggage.

Maybe there is just a small thing, but is a subject to hotel designer. Room doesn't have window so you don't have a chance to refresh room in the morning. And there is airconditioning system, but no recuperation.

The staff was extremely attentive, and there is a nice restaurant and bar on the upper floors. The beds are very comfortable as are the pillows. Nguyen Thom greeted us initially, showed us options on our room and said she wanted to be certain that we were 100% satisfied throughout our 5 day stay. She worked at the front desk and checked on our experience there and in Hanoi whenever she saw us.

The neighbourhood was good and interesting but the block the hotel is on can be difficult to navigate because it is a relatively narrow street with a lot of traffic on it during the day and motorscooters park all over the sidewalk.

The staff were very accommodating to our needs, and went to great extentto make sure we had a great time in Hanoi. We also arranged a daytrip via the hotel by Jayce to Halong bay, it was an excellent choice. When we checked out, we received a complimentary gift for the hotel, which was a great gesture. The hotal location was great, the breakfast was diverse and international, with a very capable chief. Overall, I would recommend staying here for your next trip.

The check-in process was longer than expected, but this is true for most of the hotels we stayed in during our Vietnam trip.

The hotel is set in the old quarter and is conveniently situated for visits to this and the French quarter.The breakfast was very good.The whole hotel is exceptionally clean and most of the staff are more than attentive ..reception staff are so helpful as are the bell boys .. my taxi to the airport was late as it had been given the wrong address by the dispatcher.. this was nothing to do with the hotel but about 4 staff helped me and resolved the situation.. they were truly exceptional and kind ..it’s a great base for exploring Hanoi.

It’s great value for money when there is deal on but the original price would have made it a little overpriced.

We were truly touched by the warm hospitality of the hotel staff, especially the front desk agent, Nguyen Thom. She welcomed us like friends with delicious tea and snacks. She was incredibly helpful with travel advice, recommending popular spots and restaurants, providing relevant information, and even assisting with restaurant reservations and our limousine transfer. Besides, bed is cozy, and the hotel is stylish from lobby, rooms, restaurants and skybar. We have many good pictures here. Really love the decoration here. We felt so comfortable during our stay and highly recommend this hotel to others!"

I expected a lot from this hotel, but I have to say that it exceeded my expectations. Everything in the hotel is perfect, from details and smells, to extremely friendly staff. I must also mention that my planned night check-in was moved from 2 am to 5 am due to a delayed flight, but that was no problem for them. The hotel provides a very luxurious and refined experience of Ha Noi, while maintaining Vietnamese authenticity. It is in the very center, so that all important contents are directly accessible.

Staff at the hotel were extremely hospitable and welcoming, went out of their way to make sure I had everything and assisted with booking a tour of the Ha Long Bay and making a reservation at a local hotel. The room was very clean and had everything I needed for my stay. Air conditioning worked very well and my room was always at a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was included with the rate which was nice, and the hotel restaurant/bar had great views. The hotel had to close on the second to last day of my staff for AC maintenance and they reserved me a room in their sister hotel a couple blocks away for no additional charge, and even moved all of my luggage for me.

I had a junior room and it was quite small - much smaller than it looked from the pictures. When I booked the room it was advertised as a "Junior Suite", they've since changed that to a "junior room". It was fine for myself traveling solo, but would definitely be too small for a couple. Additionally noise from within the hotel was an issue, the door to the hallway had poor sound insulation and whenever the room above mine turned on their sink or shower I could hear the water running very clearly.
