The location is convenient, the breakfast pho is delicious. Room is comfortable, clean, and quiet. Staff generally are polite and helpful

One member of staff looked over my shoulder whilst I wrote this review, pressed "10" for a score on my phone without permission and told me that if the staff gets a rating less than 10 they'll get scolded. She watched over my screen like a hawk to make sure i give the score she wants on every metric. I've never had someone emotionally blackmail me for a review before (and grant themselves access to my phone while they're at it!) I'm only giving a 10 because of all the other great people that served us at the reception and breakfast. To the management: Please don't punish your staff for scores. This causes them to pressure customers into leaving inaccurate reviews. The behaviour by this one lady is unacceptable. Left a bad taste in an otherwise pleasant experience

- Great location, within walking distance of attractions, shops, cafes and pharmacies. - Welcoming and super helpful staff, even when we had checked out, Hannah arranged a taxi to the airport for us at a lower price than Grab. Hannah explained lots of information about Hanoi and Vietnam to help us understand local history. - Breakfast was good, with the option to order freshly cooked eggs how you like them. Plenty of choices so something for everyone (even vegetarian).

- The noise of the street outside. The windows didn’t block much sound and we thing some came through the air vent. The noise was worst from 6pm to 11pm and from 6am as it was a busy street. - The shower had no height or angle adjustment and slightly flooded the bathroom (there was a drain though to catch this) - Gym and spa being refurbished as the building has been newly acquired by the group. This is not an issue, just be aware that these facilities are not open, we were informed about this upon asking.

The property is in a great central location with excellent staff. My first nights day was subject to some street noise from outside, so upon bringing this to the attention of Amy at reception, she immediately said about rectifying the problem. She allocated me a different room for the second night of my stay, which was well away from any street noise. I could not have asked for better service. Any questions I’ve had in regards to the hotel or Hanoi in general, have been answered by Amy and the reception staff with graciousness and a smile. Breakfast is a great variety and always fresh.

Had a great stay during our trip to Hanoi. Centrally located to many restaurants and attractions. The staff is very kind and helpful. Jenny went above and beyond in making sure our stay was perfect. She was also very informative and set us up with a private car transfer to airport and arranged the Ha Long bay trip for us. Will definitely go back if I’m Hanoi again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at May De Ville. Hannah and the rest of the team were incredibly friendly, answered all of our questions and made our stay in Hanoi much simpler and more enjoyable.

We had a twin room and in one of the rooms there was an issue with the cold water.

I visited Hanoi for few days and stayed at May De Ville hotel. Everything were great, friendly staff, clean room , nice breakfast and the location of the hotel is perfect. Many thanks to Jenny that helped me with my tours by helping me with information and booking .

We had a great time here in this hotel. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. The food are amazing. And it is very close to old quarters for shopping. We will definitely bring my family here soon.

Excellent service. The staff were attentive and super helpful with tips on tours, things to see and do in the old quarter of Hanoi.

New hotel, the fitness center is not open yet. This is the only downside from what’s advertised. The rest is better than expected.

The staff was very friendly, and helped us with whatever questions we had. They also helped us arrange transportation to the airport on Tết, which would have been a lot more challenging to do on our own with Uber. The location was also great - right in the middle of The Old Quarter, and super easy to walk around and find whatever you need.

We spent a little more on the room for the balcony, but they view wasn't really worth it. Wouldn't suggest it. The rooms were also quite small.
