Just back from 3 weeks at the Bauhinia resort and it was excellent. We had a pool villa which was large with a great bathroom the excellent pool was 20m away and breakfast 50m. Room cleaned by the wonderful staff everyday, breakfast was included and it did the trick. The hotel us on a quiet street just off the main street and was quiet. Within 300m you have two family restaurants, a laundry, a spa and a large shop so all good with many restaurants only a short walk away. You can get a grab to anywhere local for around £1 it’s very inexpensive. The beach is a five minute walk and the hotel even gives you towels to take to the beach. This hotel has been the best value for money I have ever had on holiday and would highly recommend it.I would go back again tomorrow

Huge room (triple!) with good bathroom. Enjoyed the chairs and table in the balcony outside the room's door (maybe because it was the last room). Good breakfast. The staff was really nice and helpful. The swimming pool is good and big. The location is very good on a side road which is nice because it is calm and quiet and still easy to walk to the main road, restaurants and beach.

I think it lacks a little bit of atmosphere... And also, I think that there are conditions to offer some snacks to buy during the afternoon while you are staying at the pool.

We stayed for 3 days 2 nights. I like how Miss Yen welcomed us when we arrived. When we opened our room, we were mesmerized by the designs; they were very aesthetic. The location of our room was just in front of the pool, so it was relaxing. 🥰 The food for breakfast was delicious, and there were a lot of choices.

We booked a massage, the Vietnamese whole body massage and hot stone massage, at around 11:30 in the evening. The staff member who performed the hot stone massage did not smile when she spoke to me. When I did not understand something she said, instead of repeating it or speaking slowly, she rolled her eyes and gave me a fierce poker face. During the massage, when she placed the hot stone on my skin, I was shocked because she did not inform me beforehand that it would be hot, especially since it was my first time.

The resort provided me free airport pick up, though after requesting them twice, even after my booking expense was well more than 800usd. Anyway i got it so happy about it. The staff were great. Always ready to help and smiling. The breakfast was great and they custom made vegan dishes for our family on request. The rooms were big and comfortable beds.

The resort is small and no garden area. I travelled with a big family with seniors and kids, who wanted a big garden area for playing/walking. Yes they do have a great pool. For this lack of space, i moved to another resort nearby. But then, yes it did have a private beach and a big garden area.. but otherways bauhinia was the best. The other resort had old rooms, rock hard beds and uncourteous staffs. Then i realized how great bauhinia was.. if lack of garden space and private beach doesnt bother you, go for it. This place is such good value for your money! Breakfast was delicious with a variety to choose from, very close to everything you need, good sized pool to spend the day in and the staff are so incredibly accommodating and welcoming - they are just absolute gems. We had an early flight that required us to be at the airport before breakfast normally starts and the staff still insisted on making us breakfast very early in the morning before we had to leave to the airport. We will most definitely come back here if we visit Phu Quoc again.

The only issues we had with our stay were very minor issues - the AC and fridge weren’t very powerful so our drinks didn’t really get cold. Pool could’ve have been slightly cleaner but understanble as it is surrounded by greenery that falls into the pool.

The property is very clean, the stuff is very friendly and professional, especially Min at the front desk

Big rooms, nice pool and good breakfast. The staff is professional and kind. It is a relatively small and quiet resort, so do not expect the facilities of a 300 room resort. There is a rooster singing, not far from there, but it was ok, I got used to it. The resort is surrounded by nature, so expect to see little lizards. I recommend the restaurants near the hotel. Food is good and prices are better in comparison to the restaurants at the main road.

Road to the beach can be sometimes hard to cross. The windows of one of the buildings can not be well cleaned. They made them so, for noise cancellation, but still..

Nice stay with a good location on phu Quoc island. The pool was very nice and clean and the staff was lovely. They helped us book tours and also our onward travel to Cambodia.

In general, we really liked it at Bauhinia and we would have given a 10 but we had difficulty to sleep well at night. This is because there were a couple of Roosters who were making noises basically all day and night. During our first night we were in a bungalow where it felt like the rooster was right in front of our bathroom wall which made sleeping impossible due to the noise. The next day the staff kindly let us switch rooms which made the noise a bit less apparent but it was still quite loud and since I am a very light sleeper I was not able to fully relax unfortunately.

Very nice and quiet place, on a side street, but close to shops and restaurant. Resort personel reccomended to go to the beach at Aloha bar, which was close and with all facilities. The pool was clean and big enough to chill în the morning and evenings. Clean and confortabile rooms, very good breakfast. But most precious of all was resort personel. Min and Dana at the reception desk helped us with all information about trips, night market, always with a big smile and very enthusiastic. All hotel team, kitchen, cleaning, are very young, very active and doing an excellent job to make us feel pampered in our holliday.

Nothing to dislike

Staff were really nice and sweet. We stayed in a garden view bungalow and room and bathroom were nice and big enough. Not much furniture to put you stuff on but that was okay. Seems to be a thing in Phu Quoc. The pool area was great. But only 3 sun umbrellas. It was never crowded there though, so you could usually get a sunbed with an umbrella if you wanted one. The pool closes at 9pm and it was really nice to swim in the evening, basically having the pool to yourself. Hotel is located on side street to the main street so only a short walk to all the restaurants, shops and bars. There were also a great little pizzeria on the right side of the hotel with very affordable prices compared to normal pizza prices (90=130VND) Definitely recommend trying that out. If you don't wanna walk to main street ,there are also a few restaurants close to the hotel. They were always full so guess they were good. Never ate there though. All in all a nice hotel with affordable prices. We stayed 4 nights.

The neighbour have a chicken farm and a few Cockerells and they like to wake up early and make a lot of noise lol.. This goes on till the sun sets. If you're easily sleep deprived, I recommend not booking a bungalow and get one of the hotel rooms in the main building where the reception is. We are morning persons, so didn't mind that much 😅 We didn't eat breakfast there cause it was quite expensive (220.000k pr person) but it looked really good.
