We absolutely LOVED everything about our stay here! The rooms were so clean and the bed was very comfortable! We enjoyed swimming in the ocean right in front of the bungalow and relaxing in the hammocks. And THE FOOD! THE FOOD! THE FOOD!!!! The food was so TASTY! And there are so many options for vegans/vegetarians! Plus it is evident that they care about where their food comes from which was a very important detail for us! Drinks and service were also fantastic! You can rent motorbikes right from the property and they are fantastic with organizing activities off property! Wish we could have stayed longer!!! Cannot say enough great things about this place! The only suggestion would be to have a milk alternative for coffee/breakfast. I will definitely be back!

Very quiet beach bungalows at the end of the road, no karaoke in the area even during public holiday. I slept extremely well, just hearing the waves and/or the rain. The bungalows are designed beach style and have a water kettle and teapot. Breakfast and lunch/dinner options are good and adopted to Western tastes. WIFI is stable and can handle multiple devices. Staff helped with communicating with drivers of ride hauling apps. As the hotel is located about 2km from Grand World (a Venice themed entertainment complex) it was quick to order taxis and easy to take the free bus from there.

When asking about airport transport options, I was not informed about the free bus from the airport to Grand World. The cleaning staff left the doors open so that the moskitoes came into the room. The roof of the outside bathroom was leaking with the torrential rains.

I love this place so much. It is a calm and unspoilt part of the island and easy to get to awesome sunset beaches from here. The food is amazing with a lot of vegetarian options, the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are wonderful, especially with the sea views with the sea lulling you to sleep and the little gardens in front.

Apart from the bed mattress being a bit too hard I cannot fault anything else. We wanted sun, sand, paradise and tranquility and this is what we got. Just superb! There’s a lovely feeling of calm around the place due to the gentle natured staff. All such lovely people. The flowers and gardening in and around the property was truly beautiful. We ate there every day and loved the menu. So much to choose from. We rented scooters and went to the local Bee Farm and other places for days out. We took the kayaks out one day. We did a private snorkelling trip (half day organised by Hanh) to Turtle Island and couldn’t believe the amount of fish we saw. Well worth it. So peace and tranquility but things to do if desired. Pool table too also to play on at night or whenever. Me, my partner and 20 year old son spent 6 nights here and were very sad to leave. Would definitely highly recommend and would return in a heart beat. 10 out of 10 from us lot.

Position on the beach, food, kind staff , very relaxing

I think the all Vietnamese people should be more environmentally conscious. The BC was clean but sometimes you get plastics objects swimming on the water and landing on the Cottages beach… well this should be cleared every day ! I want to point out that during my stay there I only had this problem two times, but who knows Vietnam, also understand what I am talking about. Unfortunately this dirt is disgusting and makes you feel uncomfortable. I am sure that at the BC they will pay more attention to this aspect. Than it will be a perfect secret spot away from the city chaos.

Breakfast was good, with enough to choose from. Not buffet style, you order either various types of egg, cereal or pancakes. Fresh fruit and bread was always served and unlimited glasses of juice and cups of tea or coffee. Really good coffee! The hotel is situated perfectly and beautifully right on the beach! The outdoor toilet of our bungalow was really nice and the rooms clean and functional. The WiFi easily handled all the guests and only occasionally got a bit slow. The food in the restaurant was slightly more expensive and fewer dishes to choose from than the next door hotel, but tastier and large enough portions to satisfy our teenage boys. The staff were so very nice and helpful, always with a smile. Our flight was delayed two days and without us even asking for it they removed two nights from our bill. Also the Christmas BBQ was so delicious!

The hotel is a bit away from things. You can walk along the beach but there’s not much else, like a village or anything that you can take a walk to. Just a small shed in which you can buy sodas and snacks. The beds were very hard.

The tiny resort is a wonderfully peaceful and tranquil location perfect to recharge your batteries and get some respite from Vietnam's fast pace. The sounds of hustle and bustle are replaced with the soothing sound of gentle waves, the putter of fishing boats and the countryside all around. Hanh who manages the resort was amazing, going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The facilities for enjoying the seaside are great: deck chairs and hammocks, plenty of shade for the hotter times during the day. Loved being able to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at a table on the beach.

I travelled to Bamboo end of April. Climate was very hot, the ocean water was about 30 °C. I took a 3 nights break during my working time in HCM. Bamboo is located about 1 hour drive during the day and 20 minutes early morning from the airport in a very calm small beach in between nature. The staff is very friendly and helpful, you directly feel that they intend to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The private beach of the cottage is clean, though there will always be some plastic coming from the ocean. This should remind all of us to reduce our consume of one-way plastic. The staff takes care to keep the environment as clean as possible. Unluckily there is much rubbish beside the cottage, even on the beach part next to Bamboo. The rooms are very nice in a gorgeous cottage style, everything is available. It is a very good price-performance level. The restaurant offers various dishes, the ones I had were very tasty. There are tables on the terrace or even one the beach for having the feet in the sand while enjoying the meal. It is possible to directly rent a motorbike for a reasonable price. It is 1 hour down to sunset town or to Sao Beach, 30 minutes to Starfish Bay. Driving on the island is pretty easy as there is not much traffic. All in all, a perfect place to relax and enjoy!!! Thanks a lot to Bamboo for this excellent time.

One of the best places we stayed in vietnam - everything is understated perfection! the staff are amazing, views incredible and the sea is like a big warm bathtub on your doorstep. great range of veggie food and beautiful setting for your meals. Free kayaks and a pool table. we originally booked for 4 nights and then extended to 7 - so glad we did! added bonus that they are striving to be plastic free so you don’t get all the massive amounts of plastic encountered when staying else where. great place to feel close to nature amongst the mayhem and major development on the rest of the island

The staff is very friendly and extremely supportive: I had issues with my phone and everyone helped me beyond expectations to finally solve it. Bamboo cottages is located a bit far away from the city which is good because you can enjoy the wonderful beach all by yourself. The beach is sandy, the water warm, calm and crystal clear. The restaurant provides an excellent selection of local food, all arranged and prepared very carefully. The tables are both inside and outside, right in front of the sea. The room is big, comfortable and has all you need to enjoy your stay, mine was facing the sea directly which is magnificent. Thank you all the staff of Bamboo Cottages, a true gem in Phu Quoc!
